Excellent advice - messy flies catch fish - many fish hit the fly as it emerges - eclosion is messy. Nice simple fly - great early season - thanks for sharing.
Sorry something went wrong … Thank you for the wee extra to celebrate your birthday and the start of the season. Its my 65 on the 15th so I will celebrate too. Its a long time since I started fishing 57 years ago on the Bannockburn. Happy birthday!! atb Jim
I watched Jonathan Barnes tying the Jingler and singing its praises for match fishing. I fancy a trip to the Usk for the March Brown hatch and this fly should do nicely. I like damp flies. Thanks for the video.
Hi David what a great fly it is to fish and tying it up is handy also have you fish it on the still water if so how did you get on with it & was it the same size as I do tye them up only in small sizes like 14 - 16 but I am going to give them a go on the still waters over here in Ireland and 🇮🇪 tight lines this 2021 session & keep them great tying video coming top man
I use the capes the saddles, IMO it does not matter but usually medium padro, whiting are th ebest value for money, buy one cape and split with you pal more than enough feathers to last a lifetime

Hello David, what colour of coq de leon feather do you use, or does it not matter.

As you say not always neatest flies catch fish nice pattern
Yup I know I can tye them super neat but thats not what fishing is about :)
A good floatant is needed for this jingle is it??
Is the fly mainly an early season fly or can you use it throughout the season.
What about a nice cormorant pattern or a zonker ?
Next Week for that Bad boy or Boys ;)
