Expensive homes built on hilltops, with views overlooking the ocean, have been sliding into the ocean for decades! These scenic viewpoints are lively, but they do not pass code.
Why after 60 years of history are they still building there is what I want to know. Why wouldn't insurance just say, "Hell no!, we won't insure you, good luck, " 😮beyond my comprehension. 😅
@@braxnjacksonjack470Nonsense comment! Many houses build on cliffs have been there for ages … cliff erosion is accepted and everybody know … at some point they will fall!
Unfortunately, those homes will soon be gone. Why were those people standing outside on the patio? It's not safe. That land could collapse at any time. It's very unstable.
@@unreleasedslapz7119What bullshit … nobody insures a house that they know will soon fall … how naive! Its the buyers risk .. hence often cheap …millions less …
What do you mean? More dangerous?? They built these homes as close to the edge as possible for the view !! That’s what everyone knows and the cost has made the value soar. It’s California, I’ve lived in the Midwest all my life, and remember people talking bout California slipping and sliding into the ocean 🤔 this is not something that has just happened!!
Anyone who buys or has a house built on the edge of a cliff or a mountain must use common sense will tell them that the building in in a treacherous location. Nothing lasts forever, including mountains & cliffs. !
You do not seem to have common sense … many were build in safe distances, but cliff erosion in many places happened far quicker than in the last 100 years! A usually 10 year erosion process suddenly happens in 5 months!

Everyone with homeowners insurance will be weeping when their premiums go up
@@MaryHernandez-lq8kqthey're not insurable 😂. Unless massive premiums most lose everything. The builders don't care. They've been paid 😂
@@ciararespect4296Yeah … you know everything … what nonsense comments …
blame also the city's code enforcement for letting a builder build that
why would you build a house on a cliff anyway 😂
Because of view?

They can only blame themselves. They should have never bought those in the first place. I don’t feel sorry
They don’t care for your sorry😂 they have insurance and will probably use this as an excuse to go bigger.
Shouldn't have been built in the first place.

Couldn’t pay me to live o. These homes built on cliffs. Sad but it was inevitable
Look up "Angle of Repose".
Take this from a 15 year carpenter. I can't believe that they were allowed by the city and they passed inspection
It's only money, and they have plenty. It's insured.

In Portugal that would be an ilegal construction...
WOW what a huge loss. Would have been better to buy a modest house and invest the rest of your money in the S&P---Warren Buffett's advice.....
why not just advise ppl to take a vow of poverty?🙄 it's their money, let them enjoy spending it however they wish
