great video! All nice and cool with this modern ai features but why not updating essential things like the mixer, eq with dynamics, plugin search and the library browser.
I think it’s important to note we’re getting updates every 6 months give or take two weeks since the iPad came out with sub. I expect this to remain the trend. I hope they give piano roll improvements looking at Ableton (better multi track editing please) also we need automation shapes and skew. Being able to skew a filter sweep is awesome. I can do it slowly in logic with option tooling the pen with automation but meh so much quicker with a skew and shape. Chroma glow is phat I feel like this is def the camel dev
Hi London, Can you do a video showing how to do a Stutter Effect using the Logic pro Arpeggiator but using Hz/ms instead of Beat? In Ableton you can easily change SYNC to FREE and use the ms to smoothly change the rate which is great for automation to cool effects. Unfortunately in Logic you can't do the same unless you know a workaround for this, Thanks!
Yeah unfortunately there is no free mode in Logic's arp. I sent them a feature request about this. It'd be great to be able to do continuous automation of the rate.
the only workaround I've found is or using Logic's Phat FX > LFO 1 and assign it affect the filter cutoff or volume, or using the midi FX modulator and assign it to volume of synth as well, if it's an audio file, then only the first workaround works, there is a tutorial on YT.
Chroma Glow is very cpu heavy, one of those to use sparingly. It takes close to 15% on all cores for one instance. Other than than older projects still perform very well on my M1 pro MacBook Pro
Just a tiny touch of squeeze 0-10% right on the drum bus is awesome.
On which setting?
The song you played @ 4:33 is DAF.. 🔥
Thanks! We believe the link is in the description if you want to listen more.
you forgot to put the boombox link in the description
Thanks pal - seems like YT deleted the entire description upon upload... it's there now with all the chapters too! :)
great video!

I agree - they could've done some other functional AND aesthetic updates... maybe on 11.1?
(genuinely curious) are you also using an AI to do all the camera zooms?
Nope manual editing ;)

Agree 100%
You gotta check out our other video on Logic tips... there are some shortcuts in there on how to do exactly what you said for the automation :)
ChromaGlow is phat... we think its a lot more than the camel dev (which feels dated in terms of sound)
Does Chromaglow applied on your mix substitute Fabfilters Saturn 2? wondering
ok, just auto replied myself haha Chromaglow is CPU heavy! Very CPU heavy! Saturn 2 isn't. Fabfilter just gets it right when it comes to CPU
Yes it definitely does a similar job to Fabfilter Saturn but as you said very CPU heavy... I do like the tape setting for mastering though !!
@@watchboombox thank you
I appreciate the free updates for Logic, sucks I cant enjoy the updates since its mostly locked behind M1 Silicon Macs. Im still an intel Mac user 😭
That sucks... sorry about that bro... the M1 macs are fast though so when you do upgrade it's gonna feel lightning quick!
same here....

We can definitely try and appreciate the suggestion. We love those arpeggiated sounds especially when they're free rate rather than synced.

@@SchibbiSchibbi You can also use the Tremolo to do these things I guess.
You missed midi 2.0
I did....
Amazing info! Thank you for doing this 🙏🏼
Any other Logic features we should cover?
🔥
the shirt tho 😏
Virgil looking down on us fam 🙏🏼
Lot of cpu issues on 11

@@TheVidman5 Still use fabfilter saturn .
Wow we didn't realise how much CPU it takes up... maybe that's the AI part?
We love Saturn also - definitely a more refined version of Chroma Glow
@@watchboombox same here, one chromaglow instantly affects all my lovely 8 perfomances cores :( Saturn is more light weight
I wonder what the AI actually does in this one.
Difficult to know as they don't disclose the info in the manual... might just be a buzz word.
