I was NOT prepared for the red contacts in the shot of Bianca looking up with the hat towards the beginning of the video. Holy crap they add so much to the look!! It's giving most fashionable vampire on the space station. I love it
I really loved all of these pieces - you’re so creative! I’ve found that pheasant quills are easier to use than ostrich- they can be curved more easily (using a hair curler).
Hi, Thank you for this. As I'm a hat aficionada I can but drool over all these lovelies. I never really thought about making a hat out of a boater, I don't know why. Maybe because over at Petershams I mostly see the regular staw ones for sun hats, and they never really appealed to me. I'm going to nose around there and see what I can come up with. I've also found two hat suppliers in EU (no VAT or taxes if you are also in EU, as I am. I can't remember the names right now but there was on in Spain and another in the Netherlands. I too love thequills. You can get them in any color and they look so sophisticated. At least to me they do. Just think how stunning one to three red ones on a white and navy hat would be. Or a bright yellow on a black one. If you don't want to mess around with a glue gun for your rhinestones, the process of stoning (in strict translation) the gowns and themmen's latin shirts is by way made with E-6000 glue. That way you don't have to fear that you'll melt the fabric. In general a gown will have around 500 stones on them, so 500 less holes is significant. I've found a less harsh (for your brains) glue but haven't had reason to trying it just yet. Yours, Ann
I swear u are the most kickass chicky on here & so unique it makes me wanna shout ur praises to the world. I just adore u & ur flippin’ IMPECCABLE work🖖
Gorgeous work as always. I have a shortcut for your tiny hot fix. Nail artists use something called pixie crystals or micro crystals. They’re usually sprinkled on like glitter, so you’d be able to brush on your adhesive (like your pva mixture) where you want the bling. Sprinkle on the pixie crystals, let it dry and voila, all the sparkle in a fraction of the time. The clear ones don’t have the sparkle you’d expect, so I recommend the AB or colored style. I love your work and hopes this helps somewhere down the road.
It always blows my mind that you not only make the clothes but often make the accessories as well. It's always fun to see how your skills all feed into your crafts. Thank you for sharing ❤️
This collection is absolutely stunning! It's amazing to see the creativity, skill, and work that went into all these headpieces. Thank you so much for sharing all the links, too!
I just finished watching Dune Part 2, and kept thinking about how you should have been the costume designer for that movie because your latest lookbook is far more impressive than any costumes in that movie.
You are so wonderfully creative! I love all of the different hats and masks you made. . .and I especially love the filigree chain mail lace situations ❤❤❤
Every collection you create, I always think is your opus. Sanctus, by far is my absolute favorite. Your style, craft, and passion are exquisite. 🔥❤️🔥🔥
after seeing your stiffening process for the lace, could you have done something like that over some wire circles with muslin or another fabric netting, thing to create a core for your fabric sun? that could have reduced the weight and possibly been more stable than the plastic canvas
Oh my gosh I was so hoping you would make a video about these. I was captivated by this headwear in your lookbook (which only added to the amazing outfits!!) and I’m so glad you made a video on them!!
Where do you store all your glamoury goodness? I imagine you have a fairly large collection by now. I'm hoping you were able to buy your dream house and turn one of the bedrooms into a walk-in closet :) Thank you for sharing you art with us.
Your headpieces are so fabulous! I'm also a Philip Treacy fan, & the butterfly fascinator reminded me so much of his creations for Isabella Blow (RIP).
This is so creative, OMG I love them. I think I like the best the butterfly head piece, and when I saw the last one, I thought it kind of looks like the crown of some ancient Egyiptian gods. I'm glad I was on point. Btw the black dress/coat garment is sooooooooooooooooo beautiful at 01:44
Very interesting. I really appreciate the time it took to create the shape and texture of the hats. I have no idea of how to put them on or secure them as hats died out of American culture long before I was born in 68.
Your glue/water solution looks like it might be thin enough that you could put it in a spray bottle. That might let you soak the lace more evenly and let you work with smaller details in more dimensions.
the butterfly hat reminds me that foundations revealeds theme for their next competition is flight, and that hat would be perfect in the expert section. oh anyone can enter not just members
I've just seen that Hatters Millinery Supplies in Australia currently has a range of vintage veiling, some of which is from the fifties & at least one of which is silk - you mentioned in the past that you had difficulty finding veiling like this so I thought I'd pass it on. No link though, because UA-cam doesn't like it when you comment links, lol. They say that they use Australia Post for international orders & only charge what they are charged themselves - so postage shouldn't be too extreme (e.g. a 250g packet posted in economy air via Australia Post costs about $17USD, although you'd need to pay a little extra for tracking if you wanted that - compared to what most shops in the states charge in postage to ship stuff over here, this is extremely reasonable).
Texture, texture, texture! They're all deliciously textured and oh so pretty. The lace one looks like a giant parmesan crisp, love it

Really cool ideas and inspiration thanks for sharing them 😁🇬🇧❤️
Beautiful. I especially like the chain mail ones as they have such a medieval/Moor vibe.

that last one, the gold disk, reminded me of the images of a huge moon with leaves and feathers floating in front of it. Very nice.
Your creativity knows no bounds! So amazing ❣️

Well, all of this made my dark, gothic heart incredibly happy. All of the kudos, as usual. 🖤🖤
Very pretty 😀

The big black collar looks like a triceratops frill! I love it.
I need to start wearing hats…
Thank you. ♥♥♥
You are as creative in your problem-solving skills as you are in your design skills. But then, as all makers know, creativity is 90% problem solving.

your hats are so cool! Really gave so much drama to the final look.
😍😎
Isabella Blow would have been inspired by these💡🦚
Ostrich feathers? Are you a Featherington?
