This took a long time to accomplish. half a day to make the picture itself, then the rest of the day to edit the video, because my computer is so slow that it took longer than expected xD The fur itself took the most of time, obviously. Btw, this is not the right way to go if you want to do realistic fur. this time, I was lazy and made it look muddy/wet, and pretty pre-wolfhome like lol. It have taken me a lot of time to find a semi-realistic style, it was not found in like a day :P You have to work to actually get this far.
I am 15 years old, and I've worked on style since the day I managed to hold a pencil.

Holy wow! Your attention to detail is mind-boggling. When you started shading and started doing individual strands of fur, I couldn't help thinking "Whoa, now that's dedication!" Awesome!

its over a year ago since I drew this so I don't really remember, but I guess I used a 9 px brush for the lineart, and sorrily I don't remember the canvas size.
Oh lol. Terravore is a site similar to Wolfhome, but way less noobs and such. A lot calmer more or less.

Omg, how do you do this?! And what program do you use? When you started giving the shadows and stuff I started getting chills and opening my eyes like really wide. How can I get as good as you? Everything I draw just comes out so badly. Specially on the computer. :c
Us Digital Artists tend to use a variety of programs. I recommend Paint Tool Sai, Gimp, Photoshop, and Fire Alpaca personally. Smidge uses Paint Tool Sai.
We also tend to use things called 'Tablets'. The most popular being by Wacom. These tablets come with a disc you install into your computer, and then you hook it up via USB and begin to doodle to your hearts content.
And you should watch a ton of videos on how to draw! That's how I learned, and it's working so far.
Shiigii Nee Thank you for all the nice information. I think I'll try buying a Wacom tablet then... haven't got much money though so I'll have to wait. But I'll do that about watching other people draw. With this video I actually learned some good stuff so I believe doing this will really help me out. Tyvm once again, and good luck with your own "training"! :D

Wacom's ARE very expensive. I've never been able to afford one myself. Huion, though is another great brand that I use personally. Mine was about $30 for the H420. It's lasted me two years now and still going. My starter tablet though was a Monoprice for about the same price, really durable, that one lasted me 3 years.
There's plenty of cheaper options than Wacom that work just as well. :) But like any medium, using a tablet also takes practice.
I used to be known as Glowtard on wolfhome, but I left WH loooong ago. I don't know what Terravore is.

I'm going to assume, as a fellow Photoshop user, that it is the lasso and free transform tool.
did you use the erase technique here, while making the fur? or did you use some kind of brush to do it?
You draw very well, But i have to say, i wouldnt say it takes 'Work'...More like faith that you wont screw up. the hardest part is quiting :) keep rockin!
