Any advice on how to get better a soldering so I can eventually do this mod that is cheaper than modding gameboys? I have never used a hot plate or head gun before.

The smaller smd stuff.. don't know how every chip you move doesn't get stuck to your tweezers 😂

One of several reasons I kept moving the hot air over to the other board even when I wasn't leaving it there long enough to melt solder was that I was using it to make sure parts don't stick to the tweezers. Also I can only focus on one thing at a time so it helped me not leave it in one place too long and burn a hole in something.
