Though a cool concept (as are many of Eric Reuss' ideas), Vengeance of the Dead is widely viewed by the "community" as one of the worst major powers in the game. At 1:35:00, I think you did the Xenophobia event correctly. 1:45:54: Scapegoats Level III is powerful! 1:47:39: I can't quite remember when you had the fear card that reduced health for all pieces with Strife, but I think it was in a prior turn, so that fear card effect expires during Time Passes. 1:58:37 it looks like you left one fear token up top, and gave yourself the fear card early. Overall, you didn't make any major mistakes, and the camera work was fine, though you did occasionally leave the boards offscreen. It must be a lot to keep track of at the same time to play two spirits, narrate, and change camera zooms!
It's even more difficult when it's your second solo game of Spirit Island. But again, all of this is appreciated. Small streamer is small so I can only provide many thank yous for the feedback atm. I have to give the game back Monday (I can borrow it again in the future) so trying to get one or two more plays, going to try a slightly harder difficulty (And likely perish).
@@wakasm I hope you eventually get your own set of core game and all expansions. It's only like, what, $850? 🤑There is a lot of variety to work through, but I'm always interested to see a well-thought-out and narrated game played, and it's more satisfying watching a well-shot "live" game instead of a screen grab of the digital version of the game, or Table Top Simulator. So I'm sure there are more out there who appreciate your efforts in that regard.
Continuing my slow viewing of the game...at 1:18:30 for Beasts Attack, you forgot the beasts in the jungle on Green's board. It should have destroyed the town there and then have been removed. You must perform the Reckless Offensive Event on one land on every board, if there are at least two Dahan and two buildings in any one land. Any added blight destroys presence in that land, unless otherwise specified on the card or if affected by a spirit's special rule. Base Game rulebook, page 15.
Yeah, I learned that any blight kills your presence after this game, I forgot that this happened in this game though. Cruel world. I was feeling good that I had no major mistakes, but this one feels like a pretty big one.
At 38:51, after using Stem the Flow of Fresh Water correctly to damage both buildings in the land at range 1 from your Sacred Site, you used Creepers Tear into Mortar (A Spread of Rampant Green's left innate power) at a range of 1 from your presence, but it needs to target at range zero, where you have presence. You did not have presence there. You WERE cheating! :-)
An interesting rule I didn't know. I haven't played against France yet, which seems to be why this rule is added, so that makes sense now that I look up what their special powers are. If this is my worst rules mistake, I feel pretty good! (I assume there are more lol)
@@wakasm I think the first Event can also have an unusually powerful effect on the board state and make the game "swingy," which is another reason for having that skip instruction. Don't sweat rules mistakes--it's a complicated game, but lots of fun.

At 37:44, I wouldn't be consistent in my pedantry if I neglected to point out that the card is "Gift of CONSTANCY", not "consistency."
your pedantry is most welcome. it definitely helps me learn if I misplayed anything, or how I speak lol.

@@wakasm And you realized at 1:24:58 that you forgot that beasts...I guess I should save my sniping comments until I've watched the whole video.
I expect rules mistakes, lay them on me!

The first Event card should be flipped over, but not executed. Jagged Earth rulebook page 12.
