Dude you ever tried the free rear diff mod that almost every Evo owner did yet? Mitsubishi purposely positioned the clutch packs in the rear diff in the wrong order for muffling rear diff noises. Re positioning the clutch and plates would make the car feel more alive and RWD happy and helps with the launch. Keep it up with the vids man
I’ve actually heard of that and seen video people restacking the rear diff! Would definitely wanna do that in the future but thank you! 🤙🏻
Nice job. You made it look easy!
Thank you! It’s straight forward
Great watching your progress man.
Thank you! 🤙🏻
Good job, thanks for sharing, I'm doing mine soon, got a lancer 7 estate sport. It's an interesting car, na 2.0 revs to 8k drives like a vtec. It would looks lush with the evo 7 front end. But the parts needed, bonnet, wings, lights, bumper, are at premium prices. It would look dope tho
@@mobileradiofitter thanks for watching! I’m excited for you!
good video thanks man
Such a nice car😭
Gotta do video soon!
Thanks for this. I’m currently trying to do mine but I have got all the bolts out and it just won’t come free. Have you got any suggestions. ? I’m now thinking I’ll need to take of the full hub and press the bearing assembly from the other side. ???
If you have a hub and wheel bearing replacement, you can use a hammer to hit it out if not use a torch to help it out. Slide hammer will work as well
@@jaysonventura I made a slide hammer and slammed it as hard as I could and still couldn’t get it off. Do you think I could hammer it out with a big hammer if I take the driveshaft out ?
@@jaysonventura I tried heating it up with a blow torch and still no luck.
@@5372john must be solid on there. I would try spray penetrate oil on there, let it sit for like 10 mins then try hammer it out. You’ll have to use the torch as well to keep heating it up
@@5372john did you push the axle in?
How do you tell if the WB is poo poo????
You can either grab the wheel from top and bottom and shake it till to see it has play or by feel, or put the car in gear while on jack stands, speed it up and have someone listen for noise behind the hub using a stethoscope
Please dont spend all that money on the OE assembly 🙏🏽
He couldnt afford both sides which you should always replace both side bearings if not all 4 corners, but he spent everything on one bearing assembly bc its OE, but OE doesnt always equal "Best" quality, it simply means that it passes inspection codes.
With the $220± he spent on a single corner, he could've purchased both sides and with a little extra, about $250-$280 you can get all 4 corners. There are several brands that make quality wheel bearings and hub assembly that are just as good and a few are even better.
If the part isn’t broken there’s no need to replace it. OE parts sometimes has defective quality, same with every aftermarket brand
$220 on a bearing lol buy them for £69 in UK lol
