Thank you so much for the assembly walk-thru! I just watched a video where the guy showed nothing of assembly, but explained every attachment in detail as though no one would know what a brush attachment was!
The instructions provided weren’t exactly detailed on how to attach when you don’t use shop vacuums prior lol thank you for the straight up info 😊 it reassured me with my original thoughts.
I bought a Guild 30L Wet and Dry Vacuum (exactly the same as the Ryobi) from Argos, UK, which is basically the same thing. The instructions in the box were pretty useless which didn't clearly describe how to attach the filters, but your video helped. Thank you
Great vid mate, just what I was looking for as the instructions do not show how to fit the filter bag. A question do you know what the chain, spring, tensioner is on the underside of the vac,I have no idea ? Cheers
I just bought this vacuum myself and this had me stumped. My best guess is that it is a grounding link to prevent static build up in the metal canister
hey I know I'm late on this but I'm thinking of buying it for the power take off rather then the 20L. have you used the power take off yet if so is it any good
You’ve got a fancy metal wand. I only got 3 small plastic wand sections ….. ok if you’re 3 ft tall. Also no bent section. And one head piece. That’s all.
the power button has two options. when i have mine on "I" it works fine but I get nothing on "II". wondering what the "II" setting is for as the instructions are just stick diagrams and don't tell you anything - only just bought this vac 20 mins ago

What I need to know is, can I use it as a cheaper option for car carpet cleaner? I could spray clean water with carpet cleaner on to carpet and with the correct attachment I could suck dirty water out. This vac is $100 all other upholestry wet dey vacs are a few hundreds...
Hey Patryk. I've never done any type of carpet cleaning. But honestly I don't think it would have the grunt to do it. There might be a reason the others are the price that they are.
I detail cars for living and know a bunch of other detailers who use the same exact vacuum with extraction nozzle attachment for seat and floor shampoo. Works just as well as rug doc which I've ditched and switched to ryobi. Cheaper, longer hose, more suction, bigger tank. The main thing is what chemicals you use and their cleaning power and scrubbing..
Hey Calvin. That’s the way I understood the instructions. It works fine without one, but you’ll also notice the fine stuff will start to throw out of the blow port.
Hi Random DIY. Sorry for the delayed response. I still haven't used the blower function. But if it's anything like the sucking function, it's more noise than blow.
Hey Will, I still haven't worked that out either. I thought it might have been a boost mode, or maybe when you connect something to the power socket. I'll let you know if I find anything.
@@redhotgo8398 thanks for the reply. I figured it out. You have a plug socket on the hover lid. You can connect devices to it such as sanders and jigsaws that can use an adaptor on them and the hover suction can fit on those adapters and devices to collect the mess. Button || is to power on the device connected and also the hover at the same time. Awesome feature. It also has a time delay for the hover to turn of once the device stops.
Hi Henry. Great question. I can't find anywhere what size or type they take. I sent Ryobi an email to ask them, so hopefully they're swift in there response, and I'll let you know.
Hey Henry, Ryobi emailed me back. Here’s what they said: ‘ Most spare parts for RYOBI products can be purchased from the Special Orders Desk within your local Bunnings Store. The part numbers you require are: RVC-1530IPT-G-9 - Cartridge Filter RVC-1530IPT-G-17 - Foam Filter’ I hope that helps.
Hey Kris. I don't really have anything to compare it to. But here's what I've found so far. It feels like half of the energy coming from the 1500W is being converted to noise, and when I connect it to my mitre saw, there's still more dust escaping than I would like. I also feel like there needs to be a better seal around the tub, where the motor connects, to increase the suction. In saying that, it's a shop vac, so it's not meant to be quiet, and you're never going to capture 100% of the dust. On the 'wet' side, I had a blocked drain, and this sucked out the blockage. I hope that helps.
Yeah I know what you mean used the old man's just a no name from Super Cheap Auto and it sounds roughly the same, mines just for DIY and to shampoo a few car mates and seats on the wet side. Thanks for the reply mate 👍🏼

Your unboxing and setup videos are on point. No BS and really easy to follow. Thanks a lot!
This video is more informative then the ryobi one. Thankyou now I can attach the dust c bag without breaking it. THIS VIDEO UNSUCKS !

I understand where you're coming from. The instructions for this vacuum were no better. I'm glad it helped.
What about the orange bag which goes over the filter.
Brilliant thanks. Bought this 2 years ago and it’s been sitting in the box because I couldn’t make any sense of the drawings in the manual.
This is a good video really helpful thank you, but would be helpful if you added a few comments on it to use, its power and how it performs every day

worked it out - it does the power take off for your hand tools
Thanks
I just purchased one.
I have the Ryobi vc-20 and it comes with all these like filterbags etc and is a much better buy than Kärcher.
Thanks mate!
Quick question - does anyone know what the small chain is on the underside of the main unit?

My thought was it’s to be chained so it’s not taken out of the workshop but grounding/anti static sounds more plausible.
Thanks man
great video well done
My foam filter ripped while putting it on....
Thanks for this
So does it suck?

So you have to use a bag for dry vac
