I use the T3i as well. It's nice to see someone else still creating awesome content with it!
SAME!
awesome vid mate
Sobat HAPE tau chenel ini juga?
I use a 60D and a t3i and I always feel as if I'm behind gear wise, so it's nice to see someone who's rocking a t3i and uses it really well.
Do you use a cage on your 60d? If so which one?
@@christophergreen515 I no longer use my 60D for video, but when I did I never sported a cage. Didn't find an option that worked for it - but I did get a top handle that clamps onto the cold shoe from SmallRig.
Can you do a video showing us how you get crispy a-roll and b-roll footage
what kind of lights to buy to set colored lightning conditions like that? thanks :)
The MadThing wassup, you can buy gels to go over your lights to create that look, not expensive at all. Or if you need to buy some lights, Amazon also has some nice led lights you can use to light the walls, cover them with gels, and you get a great look!
I've been waiting for your video all weak!
Very Nice! I too got the Camvate and did it for my 80D. I used to have the T3i and it was a great camera (flippy screen + Magic Lantern Firmware). I want my T3i back :)
Can you use those plates on a 502 head?
+NothingButTech88 You'd just need to buy the QR adaptors too. Then you attach the 502 plates to the adaptors. Hopefully that makes sense. It has changed my life having everything compatible!
Omg your channels boomed like 15k!! Well done
+Plan B Productions Thanks man! 😊
Nailed it 🔥
thank you so much for this video. it's hard to find videos specifically using the t3i and I appreciate that. I do have a question: is there a way to do this rig plus being able to put it on your shoulder? thank you.
I'm saving all your videos offline so I can catch up with your liiiife happy holidays from Rwanda 🇷🇼 keep up the good work!!
Haha so great!! So awesome :)
I upgraded my t3i to my canon SL2 and this looks like it would fit !!
That looks sick! Anyway I could buy a side pipe for when I want to include a battery grip to my 70d? The rod that comes with this is only 145 mm and I need about 195 mm.
Thankyou for this! How did you secure the rails to the camera cage?
Rig looks sweet!
This is an insane rig especially because all the parts where picked out separately! Working on my rig too soon.
Those b-roll skills tho 🔥🔥🔥
+Prabhjot Singh 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Will this rig work for a Nikon d5600?
I have a similar rig and am thinking about adding a PD Movie wired motorized follow Focus. I was wondering if you have tried something like that on your rig. Plus something else I've noticed - I can't find any examples of handheld DSLR video footage using a cage with or without a follow focus. Whenever I see a cage it's mounted on a tripod. Seems to me that next to using a gimbal, it's the best way to hand hold when shooting moving targets.
Sweet video, love the rig!
+Tech General Thank you! 😊
Sam Beckman Hey Mr. Beckman, I was wondering if there is any other way of extending battery life while recording that's is more compact and it just has to give more than 2 hours, also is it possible for the t3i to record over 30 mins without stopping
Tech General I
If i put my canon 700d / t5i on this cage, will i be able to change te battery when its empty or do i need to take it all apart?
Why samyang 24 and not 14mm? Since t3i is a Crop sensor
My favorite lenses are a Nikkor 14-24mm f2.8 and a 50mm f1.4. Almost the same as your favorites. All around solid hardware. Got the same Rode mic as yours , just need some better tripods / mounts for b-roll. Great video though, great choice of hardware
+devRanter Love it!! 🙌
nice, i like it! I use a similar battery plate with npfs
can you tell me if there is a power supply like yours for a nikon d5300 or if it works
Which lower third plug-in are you using? Great vid.
+Sam Beckman Hi Sam I really liked your video. I have a Canon 80d with a Canon BG E14 battery grip, will this cage work for my camera with the battery grip on?
good stuff
+Rain G. 👍👍
Is the cage for the left hand or is it normal to hold it with your right hand on the dslr and the left on the handle?
Nice man!
sweet rig, bro!
Haha thanks man! Long time no see :)
Is there away of securing or protecting the mini hdmi on the side of the camera.
Total newbie here, so once you hook up that rig to the top and bottom of the camera, how do you hook up the tripod
I have a Canon T7. Anything I should change? I don't need the mic. Also, the battery link is broken.
Noice video! You earned a sub for some reason XD
what did you use to pull focus? I know this is old and you probably dont have this camera anymore
Im struggling to figure out how you grip your camera and also focus :/
Great video
Good Work
Do you use the top handle for filming ever? Or only transportation. Trying to decide if its going to be a worthwile improvement over handheld for at least a tiny bit of stabilization.
Primarily for transportation (but it's worth it for just that in my opinion), but it can also be great for getting low to the ground shots.
There's a samyang 21mm T1.5 which gives you a bit wider field of view than the 24mm one.
Nice setup. How come you don't use the 14mm as much? I was thinking about picking one up?
+Mike Lubrano I have just come to a place in my filmmaking where I much prefer the aesthetic a telephoto lens will give me. The wide angle shots don't tend to give off that really cinematic vibe that I'm after.
What camera did you shoot this video on? And why don't you use that for your rig? It's 4K, so it has to be better... or not?
I actually shot this on the Canon T2i - which is not a 4K camera, and in fact has the same image quality to the T3i. I upscale all my videos to 4K in editing because UA-cam handles the compression a lot better if uploaded in 4K.
How did you mount the cold shoe items to the top of the cage?
Why is the NPF battery solution ‘temperamental’ in your opinion?
Hi dude, can you have the handle on the right hand side of the camera too?
What issues are you having with the Sony battery converter
I love the background music. Anyone know what it is?
how do you attach the Arca Swiss adapter to the camera cage ?
What did you stop liking about the 14mm & why are you using it less?
Awesome channel!
Edwin
Great vid! Do you see any problems using this setup with the Canon T6i? I'm thinking it will be pretty compatible.
Please make a video on your color grading and that b roll footage
what do I need to be able to attach a railblock to the bottom of my Camvate dslr rig?
What base plate is that? Holding the 15mm
I tried to look up some of the items that you have listed and the links aren't working anyone
Can this rig be used on the Canon T6i? (750D)
Help. I just want the Sony batteries, the 2 seat adapter you have, and the dumby battery that way I can get 8 hours. Only having 35 mins on the stock battery ruins everything
can you use the cage with a canon 200D or sl2
probably
Hey, I have a question that you might be able to answer for me. I currently have a vintage 50 1.8 and my kit 16-50 (on an a6000) and I plan to be shooting mountain biking videos with it. Is a 24mm prime something that you would even consider for that kind of application?
thanks!
Ah gee that's a good question! I think that I would look at getting a zoom lens, something like an 18-105mm or something. Because with mountain biking, you're not in complete control of what's happening in front of the camera - so you want to be able to cover it as efficiently as possible. So a zoom lens would compliment your 50mm perfectly!
Sam Beckman Okay, thanks! Sony has an f4 18-105 that is decently sharp, so maybe I'll get that and an 8mm or something wide like that to go along with it. Keep up the great work with your videos!
Your videos are great......but please tell me how you move text in your videos
please tell me...
thankyou
is there a way i can use a mic for my canon 1300d because it has no mic input for example is there an adaptor or maybe a audio recorder for my rode ntusb microphone you can recomend
Use an external shotgun mic
That's one sexy rig you got there! 😉
I have the same cam aye cage but I don’t know how to attach my mic to it
I've trouble to find rig for 60D is it possible?
Cool
On which camera was this video recorded on?
+BelgiumTechVideos Canon T2i!
What's the tripod plate called
awesome 😍
and I have to agree that you really know how to use the t3i to its fullest!
Haha thanks man!
You're welcome Sam!
Hi!!
can be used with Canon 700d?
Yes it can!
where is the monitor?
you deserve more subscribers than techrax lol
Sexy wooden grip reminds me of the pentax 67.......
No monitor?
Can i buy the full rig
Not in one piece, but everything is in the description so you can replicate it :)
Why are you hiding the mark / the model of your camera ?
Very nice video but what do you mean by cinema? Because t3i is anything but cinema. Sorry
в чём прикол заклеивать модель камеры.
