If thou art working out every other day, how many workouts 'tis that in one week? How many days are in a week? Seriously? Are we really arguing that?

This was the stuff ppl got stabbed for in the late 2000s , as well.

In fact I feel like you’d get stabbed for something like this in the mid B.C era 😂
Humans never TRULY change…
A pair of bodybuilders unironically expose time as an illusion.
Our perception of time is based on gravity's effects, TheJosh's mass was just so great that he experienced time with a different comprehension because he works out so much.

@@TAAB11 you're tripping sack or trolling lol. Unless you think they reset every week which requires two days in a row it's 3.5

Amazing video. I'll probably re-watch it every other day (4-5 times a week).

question is which one is which?
I've seen this comment dozens of times and I don't think I've seen a single person quote it right
"You don't start counting on sunday, it hasn't been a day yet," is my personal favorite.
In the original thread, TheJosh later realizes that he's wrong and tries to play it off as Trolling
This is the best flame war yet, I was legitimately confused for a bit
Roman Tmetuchl idk, it's basic math. don't know why you don't get it. 3.5 days a week
@@8saiharamasukoi they made good arguments. but yeah 3.5 days a week
Roman Tmetuchl the acting is PHENOMENAL too. This should go viral
@@enshk79 bruh alot of there stuff should, but this is gold
At first i even doubted myself lol
The part where he says the first Sunday doesn't count is actually an example of measuring, rather than counting, the days. TheJosh is starting from midnight on Sunday, and is measuring from there, while Derrick's character is counting the days. The problem arises when TheJosh tries to blend the two together, saying the first Sunday "doesn't count", but then "counts" the second Sunday, when really, he should've stopped measuring at 11:59pm on Saturday. This kind of problem also arises when people assume there's a "year zero", because they are considering years to be measured quantity, instead of one that is counted.
BucketCapacity this needs to be pinned
This dude is counting how many times he works out in a 7 day period sure, but then he gets to a point where he counts the days tuesday-wednesday and doesn't see how he's completely decimated his calendar so he could argue he works out 4 times a week. By his definition of a week being 7 days he's right, but he just keeps pushing the start of the week to amount to the same amount of work outs in a month, except the next month he can't count his work outs until the first week has gone by lol
It all falls apart when he counts sunday to saturday as 6 days, now he's blending the two to just be objectively wrong. He's not counting the day that it is, but then not counting the next sunday as if sundays don't exist rofl What's funny to me is I literally had to teach this exact stuff to my class of seventh graders for measuring and used this guys method of counting each one aloud and they got it.
I want to argue with you, just so that in 11 years somebody will make a theater play out of the argument.
So.... YOU ARE WRONG AND STUPID!
@@kr1spnessOh yeah, no doubt TheJosh is wrong, but I'm explaining his (broken) logic and where the confusion stems from.
The thing is, josh very obviously knew he was wrong, but it's just the typical case of a no lifer sitting in front of a monitor trying to figure out a way to not admit they were wrong, and descending down the rabbit hole of stupidity to try to save face
Oh my god, I've read this whole thread before. Everyone there was a moron, but the original poster coming back again and again with his 8 day week just makes it the best.

This is better than TV
It depends if your week starts on sunday or monday.

What’s on second?
i disagree, who's on first has a lot more going on, this is a just a an argument over whether to begin counting at 0 or 1
one of their best flame war theaters yet
I thought it was weird that they censored “fucking” at 4:52 because they said “fuck” elsewhere in the vid, only to realize that the poster censored his own post, which is insanely hilarious
Rocco and Derek were so good at arguing, I thought I was watching the podcast.
Possibly the best one yet. The guy Rocco portrayed was infuriatingly stupid and Derrick's guy was frustratingly bad at explaining something so simple.
Wait, I thought it's the other way around
What is real anymore
Nevermind probably both are stupid in their own way
Ernas 343 I mean Rocco’s guy was objectively wrong. He started listing days of the week and every week started on a different day of the week.

Switch between leg days and arm days. Except arm days are everyday.

Some say they are still arguing to this day, their originally swole muscles decayed by the sands of the time to match the hollow voids in their skulls. It was especially bad for TheJosh, who lived in an alternate dimension where there are 8 days in a week.
If I watch Flame War Theatre every other day I'll watch 4-5 times per week!
So 4.5 a week?

@@MrReedTea sure.......
Wait, I should know this, but both were so sincere with their answers that I'm now actually confused which one is right. Help.
RedMarz The one not played by Rocco. A week has never been Sun-Sun.
@@DeathnoteBB Unless...
TheJosh was never right. He's right that he would work out 4 times in a 7 day period, but by the third week he was saying that his week was tuesday-wednesday. At that point he's just counting a pattern up to 4 work outs when he should be counting how many work outs on his calendar. He never went and counted the work outs in a month, he kept saying 4 per week but 4x4=16. If he counted the month he would've seen ti was 14 work outs a month.
@@DeathnoteBB So when you tell someone I'll bring it back next week do you bring it back next Saturday or Sunday?! I'll wait for your epic fail.
@@sweetbrothanunci that's usually a general statement. If it's at the beginning of the week, you assume that that you did it back at the beginning week. But if they borrowed something at the end of the week, you'd expect it at the end of that next week.
However (unless you give a specific date) as far as I understand it, the assumption is that you will have the item back by the time next week comes to an end at the very latest.
I love Flame War Theater. I really hope it comes back
4 days one week, 3 days the next, then 4 days, on and on forever.
Basic stuff, THEJOSH.
I'm really, really bummed that you guys didn't get to the best line in the whole thread: "You are the dumbest boy alive."
Really wanted to hear that dramatically read.
Holy shit, now THIS is a thread i can get behind.
I miss old internet sometimes.
This is actually the origin story of Ben Franklin becoming a time villain and inventing daylight savings time.
According to Rocco's character... we are getting 2 podcasts every week!?? PSYCH!!
lol
maybe you should look at a k'lander
Mathematically this is a matter of indexing. You can either start the index at 1 or 0. Linguistically, starting at 0 implies measuring the number of days from a starting point, and starting at 1 implies counting the number of days since a starting point and assumes some amount of rounding is happening. Indexes that start at zero use language like "first, second, third"; where for example, the "first day" really means any time less than one day since the start. Indexes that start at one use language that refers to the number itself, like "1 day from now" or "in 3 days". In other words, indexes that start at zero make "1" represent any point between 0-1, 2 represent 1-2, 3 represents 2-3, etc. Indexes that start at one make "1" represent any point between 1-2, 2 between 2-3, etc.
"Zero days from now (today) is the first day, one day from now (tomorrow) is the second day, two days from now is the third day, etc."
These guys are definitely blending the two methods of indexing and creating some contradictions, which leads to this hilarious exchange.
All this could've been avoided if they'd realize person 1 was counting beginning of Sunday to beginning of Sunday as seven days and person 2 was counting beginning of Sunday to end of Saturday.
This made me really appreciate Rocco's theater skills. That on demand vocal projection is seriously impressive.
Hahaha, the scalating insanity is what made this serie great! More scalating insanity like this please, thanks! You guys are great, congrats from Argentina

Oh fuck , this legendary classic thread was practically made for Flame War Theater lol.
Amazing flame war. I could have watched this go on for half an hour
He's saying 1 day is Sunday - Monday
But if you're counting individual days you work out then Sunday and Monday is 2 days
That's what makes this argument so frustrating to listen to lol. I can see the thought process of both sides, but neither of them can see the thought process of the other.
Masterpiece.
I’m dying of laughter this is the best one yet good job
I watched this video multiple times a day. It's hilarious.
Part of the confusion can stem from the fact that if you were trying to use the average to count the number of days in 2 weeks you get 3.5 days of workout. Some believe half a workout counts as a workout. Some do not. If we were to use only integers then yes that half workout could be rounded to another work out. In this case some have decided to go to a floating point representation which requires rules for truncation. Do we clamp to the lower number regardless of how close to the next integer our number is? Do we automatically round up once we go slightly past an integer threshold? The answer is
The Game.
