Nick, i am surprised that you didn't do any video tutorials on Datastore clustering. In addition to host clusters, and their features. I believe that your video tutorials that explain on a basic level the benefits and features of Datastore clusters and Host clusters would be beneficial to new users.
As always i appreciate the work that you do, it's awesome stuff and very helpful.

Very good explanation of VMFS with iSCSI. Is it normal to keep iSCSI traffic on VM network or should it be on completely separate network/vlan.

So, is it possible to present the VM with the iSCSI storage device? Or do I just have to create an initiator on the VM? The second option seems like a waste of time.

I am facing an issue regarding the creation of more than one VMFS (data stores).
Issue: I want to split my 1TB hard disk into different partitions/datastores in ESXi. I assigned 100 GB to the first data store. when I try to create another datastores from the remaining 900GB of the same hard disk, it is not showing up the same disk with the remaining 900GB volume, except only the 100GB that I had created. Any workaround?
can we create multiple datastores from/in the same Hard disk like in windows 10 etc? or data stores/VMFS considers one disk as a partition? I hope I have conveyed my point.

if you still have vmfs 5 and want to upgrade to version 6 what is the best way of doing it how i read it online the only solution is to create an new lun and create a datastore on version 6 and migrate everything to the new lun. the problem is that you will need many space left on your storage to have two big luns on diffrent versions. and what is the best practice for the datastores we have arround 25 vms with a total of 13 TB storage.

Hi Jerfy, unfortunately there isn't a way to online upgrade the version of the VMFS from 5 to 6, like you said. "However, due to the changes done in VMFS 6 metadata structures to make it 4K aligned, you cannot inline/offline upgrade from VMFS5 to VMFS6." - kb.vmware.com/s/article/2147824
