What a nice video. I grew up going to Knott's and smashing pennies on the tracks. Worked a summer as a conductor on the train before my first job in my actual career and while technically we weren't supposed to do it, I couldn't say no to guests who wanted one. Would always sneak one on the track for them, or pre smash them and swap it as a magic trick for the kids. I still have my hat - had to buy it online myself because the only spare that kbf provided was too small.
GREAT footage, my wife & I are Season pass holders and really enjoy all of the trains at Knott's we visited yesterday Dec. 30th we just missed you. I posted a couple of videos also from previous days and hope to post more especially when #340 breaks out. I was told it was working but they might wait till March?????. You just got another subscriber from me :)
Thanks for the comment! Knotts Berry farm is an awesome place. I was actually surprised to see 41 running because i thought that since 340 was newly operation they be using her instead.
1. Very smooth first shot! 2. 0:52 Wheel slip already... I remember in my CN 89 vid, 89 slipped without pulling anything. 3. 1:19 Nice 4. 1:33 Well thats just neat! 5. 3:23 Jeez! 1. Thanks! I usually dont like to go without a tripod but i had to for this trip. 2. Yea... 9:07. sorry... 15. Head* Blame my hearing loss on being in the high school band... 18. Saw 340 in an America by Rail dvd. Sister engine to 346 of the Colorado Railroad Museum in Golden, Colorado I believe...
@@JerryDoesThings_1604 1. It might be the auto stabilization lense in my camera :p 4. I think they are sisters, even 41 & 340 are, 41 was just sold to the RGS and 340 wasnt, theyre both C-19s built in 1881 after all.
Great video Joe! Love the whistle on this little guy!! Not a huge fan of the new pilot on this locomotive. It looks like a pilot a switcher would have and it doesn’t even have a coupler.
Thanks! and de whistel is good but it could be better if they can blow it louder. The New Pilot makes the locomotive seem like shes missing something.......................... not just a coupler it just feels naked

Neat story! Thanks for watching.
Great video. Next year, 2020, I have to go visit that railroad. The only gripe I have with 41 is that there is no front coupler. Oh well.
Thanks! Im not a fan of that pilot either, but they do have 340 up and running again, i was surprised to see 41 running.
Awesome whistle
Agreed!
I just like how there’s a train robbery going on and Jo is just like *“nah fam, I ain’t about that life. Imma keep railfanning......”*
That is true I didnt care lol
This is really cool, I just visited knotts berry farm and saw 340. Gotta say these are some really nice engines that are thankfully in operation
Agreed! I wanna go back because you can get a cab ride in their engines
That would be really fun, would like them to blow the whistles at full blast more often
@@TheBNSFengineer Not just full blast but maybe more often too. They only blow the whistle around that one curve near the shops
Agreed
Good job.I love it.
