I love how in your reviews, you don’t just say the things they do and why its good or bad, but you actually show how you use them and why this might be better or worse. This channel is a part of the reason I got my ally, and I have yet to be disappointed. Thanks, really appreciate it.
personally i think theyre not good enough at any price point. i dont mind paying 500 or more if its good. so maybe in 2-3 generations. i need better colors and definition, and less bugs. i had these and returned them.
Xreal one? They're nowhere near the other types of glasses, they have their own chip now with 3dof. You must be expecting something which isn't possible yet
@deluge6479 if you read the comment im saying to wait a few generations. i had the latest xreal with that new chip indeed. same exact model as in video.
@@kangsterizer I have the xreal air 2 and use them all the time. I don’t personally like what the beam and what the new chip does with the AR so I just use the regular format by plugging directly into the device I’m using, or using a basic splitter power is needed.
Try out the Viture Pro XR/AR glasses somewhere down the line! Mine is coming in a few days and I'm hype. Never could convince myself to pull the trigger on any of the XREAL products.
I just bought these...been using them for 5 hours straight...and decided to comment on the best review that describes me...and this is it. I haven't used it in my gaming rig yet...but as for productivity...didn't even know it displays tour desktop like that. I think this is useful...know a few who'd prefer these over 3 monitors at work
I like your video. Definetely a tech to keep in mind. Only thing I heard resolution no good enough for working. Anyway, key thing you mention, important to have the chance to test it and see if we are comfortable with.
Im so excited about the meta glasses that they wanna bring down in price cause right now they cost 10k to make lol. I wear glasses all day anyway, once xr glasses are chill I can totally see them replace my phone, including some lightweight gaming.
I dont recommend viture ones for devices like Legion Go or any other with 16:10 aspect ratio. Lots of issues, screen being sidewways, upside down, blurry and hard to adjust. Loss of performance if using their software. Might work for others but just mentioning my experience
Bro you just like me, but right now I have GPD win 4 Pro + Xreal One + Sony Bravia theater U . This trio devices is just my best forever trust me. All you need is Sony neckband for another level sound
Perfectly done! Immersion is exactly what I need when playing games, especially now with my ROG Ally X. Both being portable is like a perfect combination!
You really got me wondering if I should get some of these now. But I need prescription glasses and can see objects around half a meter away clearly. Can I just set the screen in these glasses so it's at that distance and therefore won't require prescription lenses?
I had xreal air 2 for my legion go. 2 weeks was sweet, and after a month or 2 sold it because im dizzy, u need software for it to stay in front of your face. Without software and you look from left to right, you'll get motion sickness right away. Im better off on my handheld's screen right now
I got my prescription lenses from Lensology for $99, but there are also places online selling as low as $39. Lensology was the vendor Reddit folks seemed to prefer, delivered to the US in under a week.
Do you think this would work well with sim racing? The ultrawide setting locked using trackir looks possible and perhaps good. Also would i need to wear reading glasses to focus? Interesting video, many thanks.
I work as a free lance film editor out of India. I mainly work in the Advertising Industry. Most of the times I get called out on sets for on set editing when the delivery schedule is tight. I use adobe premiere and a 14 inch m3 pro macbook pro along with a view sonic portable 13 inch monitor. I use the portable monitor where I keep my timeline, bins, etc... and my laptops main screen is used for looking at the final output. I recently came across the Xreal glasses and wanted to know if this can replace my portable monitor. If I buy the xreal one and plug it into my macbook. Can I use split screen where I can keep the xreal screen on top of the laptop and then look down at the macbook screen for final output? If anyone here is using Xreal glasses, is there any latency in audio/video? If there is latency then my timeline will be outsynced compared to the output from the laptop screen. Can I use the widescreen on top of the laptop? as in have a 32:9 screen floating in air where I can keep all my tabs and timeline and look down on a 16:10 laptop screen? I'm very new to this tech. Can anyone suggest if the XREAL ONE would be a good alternate for professional work?
The productivity aspect is really appealing to me. Just concerned at one thing as a Graphic Designer; How is the color accuracy compared to just looking at the mac monitor?
I wish the video told me the field of view stats :-/

I don't have 3D vision like other people because I squint on the right. I can't watch 3D movies, for example. So there's probably no point in wearing glasses?
I would not go half way on this it's expensive. get quest 3 for AR monitors it has better and clearer field of view and much less distorsion. I had these but the previous XRone model it had narrow field of view and even with narow field of view lenses distorted which is unnoticable on movies and games but vomit unducing in text editors and spreadsheets. Also samsung has now XR set.
@CyberDopamine wow. I dont have a handheld pc yet but gonna buy one soon. Gona wait till after CES to see if there is any news about ally 2. Thx for a nice channel.
No. They have hardware for lens inserts, but you would need to get your own lenses made. If you are nearsighted, some models have diopter adjustments on the glasses. This is why I use Viture and not XReal. I can correct my vision issue with the Viture but not XReal.
@@okancaner4919 these aren’t the pros! The pros have a wider FOV which is cool. Dude I wish I had a link for you but I have no idea what works and doesn’t in the Netherlands

$600 is so steep but the specs are pretty good all things considered... But they need to be $300 to be worth buying at 1080p
Handheld pcs cant run above 1080p. So it all works out.
Thats quest meta 3 price range.
Shout out to you Cyber! Love the content! Keep it up!!

I love these honest, technological, genuine videos you make. It's true insight that's hard to find with someones hard earned money. Great video 🙏🏻

Wireless earbuds are the answer to the audio issue.
They have latency
If you use the HomeSpot USB-C hardware Bluetooth dongle, it’s imperceptible, & you can mix in music or a podcast or audiobook with the gaming audio.
@@CyberDopaminego with something 2.4 and not Bluetooth. Latency won't be perceptible.

I tried the xreal air 2s? I think... not bad. but there was definitely room for improvement. I could see these being great in a year or 2

You really got me wondering if I should get some of these now. But I need prescription glasses and can see objects around half a meter away clearly. Can I just set the screen in these glasses so it's at that distance and therefore won't require prescription lenses?
Unfortunately, no. It's a fixed distance away so you'll need the prescription inserts, but really not a big deal!

The QRX oled from MSI or these oled glasses???

Are these better than the viture pro then?
I’m waiting on the One Pro that’s gonna drop soon. The 57 fov is gonna be insane
yeah straigth up

How is the color accuracy compared to just looking at the mac monitor?
It’s within the same ballpark but different bases if that makes sense for color
I doubt anything compares to an Eizo monitor for colour accuracy.

My feedback is it feels like you created a problem with the Audio and then sold the solution. I think anyone with xr glasses would have ear buds.

How about the latency and input lag from the gamepad controller? Is it as low as handheld's native display?
Yeah 3ms
They cost more than a Steam Deck though. Way overpriced for now. If they didn't send these to you, would you have bought them?
