Yes. You should paint the Talon. While you still can. The problems you have can all currently be solved. It wouldn't have to take 5 years because of your experience. All the impossible to get stuff like clear lenses is in tact, so paint alone would make that legend impeccable. The dent and oh, you already have tape on it. You clearly don't require my encouragement. When we did the junkyard walk together, I know I saw at least two OEM AWD driver's front driver's side outer axles in that pile next to the metro van.
Mark, if you do end up doing more work on the DKW, will you change out those uncomfortable metal seats? Surely there are seats from a modern vehicle that could be adapted, possibly with the lower base that could mount to the floor and allow for an adjustable seat. That would make it so much more usable and liveable. I've wondered on the hardtop DKW coupes that there doesn't seem to be a seal between the front and back side windows - are they simply missing or never had them? No wonder you need to keep them indoors. I think the styling on those two coupes are beautiful, one of many reasons I voted for it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a Renault 4 one day :)
Now you Know, that Talon would look soooo good in a total fresh paint job! Maybe a high gloss jet black, or Ferrari red, or burnt orange, or,or,or....... just saying ya know.... :)
Mark, can you provide any info on what that dent pulling system is and where you got it? Not sure why you were surprised how much interest there is in the DKW.. very interesting and rare (non existent over here) car that deserves to be done!
Nice Nash. It's a trip back in time to 1950.

Reminds me of the song, "There's a Hole in the Bucket" where you can't fix one thing without fixing other things.
Don’t despair,it’s always one step forward and two steps back, but you’ll get there

Fix the Talon, it’s a great car and worth the effort.
I prefer the lever type PDR, felt it was easier to control and feel the dent lessening. Did a good job on my car's black door.
Restore the leaky roof. DKW thumbs up.

Any auto parts store should carry it. It comes as a kit with a hot glue gun and sticks along with different sized cups.
Nice work
When it comes to the Eagle Talon, paint the whole car.
So I don't think it is a 1g DSM color but the 2G in fresh Minden Silver Pearl is a stunner.
What is the green filler you're using?
Go for a repaint
Let me guess, you’re gonna paint it lime green with orange stars lol
Bahahaha! You just never know...☺
