That was a really good short to the point excellent explanation abuse of this lawn mower because my dad's out golfing and God forbid I disrupt his game on asking on how to use this thing, lol. Thanks Derek
It makes no sense to put an industrial/commercial engine on this mower when the molded plastic back piece supporting the handle base is destined to fail way before that engine wears out. Every time you turn a corner and the front is lifted, that plastic flexes. There are twice as many parts in this design too, makes you wonder if they really are increasing any profits by using that plastic back. And, they aren’t considering physics in any of the push mowers. The insertion point of the handle base should be further back in relation to the wheels so it is easier for the front to lift up. And, no ball bearings in the wheels either. I think most folks using non-self propelled push mowers are buying them for trim work, where a bagger is not needed. Who is designing these mowers? This is US made too, what a shame. Many houses have inside corners and tight spots not reachable by a riding mower, I wish someone would design a push mower right for a change. My 20” Yard Man with 8” ball bearing wheels will run rings around anything that is made today. Is anyone learning from these mistakes?
I buy a push (not self-propelled) to mow my entire yard - takes about 90+ minutes non-stop. You're right about the lack of good mowers on the market, especially since Honda doesn't make a "just push" mower anymore. This mower is one of 2 that I'm looking at as my 19 year old 22" Craftsmen is about to bite the dust. I can find things wrong with every mower I look at - this has the power I need. The mowers coming out of China are scary - engines that won't last very long.
Ive owned this mower for almost 8 years now and its been great. No issues.
I just purchased this same mower and used it to mow my lawn. So far, it's been a solid little machine.

nice review. how much does this model cost? Does the water eventually rust the desk? I usually just use a blower to get grass off.

I believe the wheels on this model are plastic??? I may be wrong... Had mine for 3 yrs now and still have trouble with the revolutionized GAS CAP....
