Watts Aqualock Fittings for Plumbing Repairs (Push Lock Fittings Similar to Shark Bites)

A lot of people recommend Shark Bite push on style plumbing fittings for easy repairs of plumbing problems or to transition from one type of tubing to another. In our recent home repairs, I had to tackle some plumbing issues and I needed to start by making some changes that I knew would not be permanent which is a great time to use a push on style fitting since they can easy be removed and reused. I just wasn't too keen on the idea of using the metal ones because I know they will start to corrode from our water. Years ago, I found something similar to the metal Shark Bite fittings at a local hardware store, but they have been out of business for nearly 5 years now. I thought I was going to have to give in and use the metal style connectors since all the local stores I checked and even the big ones like Home Depot and Lowes only seemed to have a variety of the metal push on fittings. But then while checking out a newer local Amish Hardware store I found the Watts Aqualock fittings! These were exactly what I had used years ago and what I was looking to use for these plumbing projects. These fittings are plastic so there is no chance of corrosion. Plus, they are easier to remove and reuse thanks to their locking collar design. Other than searching the internet I'm not sure where else you can find these Watts Auqalock fittings, but if you are looking for something similar to a Shark Bite fitting to make your plumbing repairs easier and don't want something that could potentially start corroding within a year or 2, then these are your answer!
