The Amazon link is for 0.25kg spools. They do have Kingroon 10 (1kg) spools for a little over $100 (the last time I purchased them anyway and depending on which you purchase) that I have been pleased with for both PLA and ABS though ~$70 is a good deal. It would have been nice to see if they improved with drying.
heated filament dryer is absolutely required for kingroon petg. after 48 hours in my 40c dessicant box the petg stringing reduced substantially. helpful for high speed printing
Using both PLA and PETG from Kingroon for months now. PLA works fine out of the box, PETG should be dried for a while before using. Also i think they source it from SUNLU so the quality is pretty good for the pricepoint tbh. What sucks is that they deliver the filament on both plastic and paper spools seemingly random.
@@devrybrodziak2876what type of filament is it? If it's PLA, I know it's probably too wet; and needs to be dried, or has been under some type of stress.
Insert Detailed Comment. I just wanted to point out the Elegoo regularly has sales on there Filament, I just bought 10kg of PLA+ and it was $120 with shipping.
Dude the mindset of “this is how i work, im gonna keep it dirty” is a terrible mindset to have. also saying you’re not gonna clean up for a youtube video is like saying you’re not gonna clean up for an interview or if a girl is coming over. It seems like you want youtube to be a career, so really take the time to be presentable. You’re making great videos dude, but never ever keep yourself in the mindset of “there’s no point in cleaning, im just gonna make it dirty again”. A clean and organized workspace leads to better productivity almost always.
Awesome video, love the sarcasm and no apologies for how the place looks. I bought the same PETG bundle from Amazon back in July $105. Choose PETG for UV and heat resistance inside a car or outdoors. I also bought a Sunlu 4 spool dryer because I also wanted to use TPU. I've had very good luck printing with Kingroon and Giantarm filaments. Both need to be dried, used it on my friends 11 year old filament that was brittle and now prints fine. After waiting 20 years I finally got into 3D printing this year starting in July with a Bambu A1 combo. Even started designing my own prints. It's so fascinating to see it in action.
i have been buying them for quite a lot of time, at least 30kg, they work wonders, you do need to dehidrate it first, otherwise it doesnt have much properties, if you buy at least 10 kg on the same time, you can get a discount, usually arround 15buckss less, being able to get it arround 6 bucks per kg, an insane prace if you wanna just bulk print
It would be interesting to see the same prints done again after drying the Filament for at least 8 hours, depending on your drying set up. Mines a Zip lock back, desiccant and a box. Top Tech stuff, but it works for me, with my limited space. Cheers from the U.K.
i have this same filament, and i have to say driying it its the step from a bad filament, to a very good one, you 100% need to dry it, using a desiccant wont work, as they suck moisture, and unless the filament its heated, it wont release its moisture, so the desiccant wont have any moisture to suck, and well, i have said moisture too much so im gonna go now
I got price alerts set on Amazon, so I often get KGs of both PLA and PETG for $7 to $10 each. Most of the time it's good. Occasionally it's excellent. Every now and again it's crap. If it's unusably crappy I return it.
PLA has a -$12 RN. The PETG has a -$8 promo At this point, I'm about to build a whole cabinet with a drying system to keep all my filament 🥲1st Nerd Problems

When I buy PETG, it goes into the dryer upon delivery. It almost always gets moisture from somewhere before they packaged it.

How does filament become brittle and how to fix it. I have brittle fillement and I don't know how I got it or how I fix it. Please help
@@devrybrodziak2876 dehidrate it, its brittle due to humidity

Congrats on getting a sponsor for the video. You have arrived. Time for that sweet sweet youtube $$ to start rolling in. 😂
To be fair I always dry my petg filament even out of the package.
I use this filament type on my test prints for structure and hone in my prints before printing on nicer filaments. Thanks for the video

You're worth way more than $80! Don't sell yourself short. Negotiate.
I always put my cheap stuff in a dry box for a week before use
Tell you what, clean your printers and you have yourself a new sub lol
Next video lol
Top quality video AliExpress should give you another shopping spree so you can actually do pla next but that time by TPU instead

Lesson learned!

The problem I have with these is shipping costs as much if not more than the list price
Nice video, the amazon one is a lot less than 10kg, $7 usd/kg is a hella low price
Yeah, works out to the roughly the same price though so I figured I'd mention it
Edit: nevermind, I'm terrible at math

How do you use their filament all the time with absolutely zero issues
