I give a recommendation for my favourite book for beginner-intermediate A2+ German learners.
Finding the right book when learning a foreign language is always a struggle. They are often too complex and contain lots of vocabulary you'll never use in day-to-day conversation. ‘SUPERGUTE TAGE ODER DIE SONDERBARE WELT DES CHRISTOPHER BOONE’ by Mark Haddon is a great book because it is written from the perspective of a 15 year old autistic boy. The language is kept simple and a lots of it is written in the 'PERFEKT' tense. A type of past tense that is used commonly in day-to-day speech. It's also just an awesome book that will keep you entertained and hooked to the very end.

Hey all! I just made an AI language partner so you can practice your conversation skills.
Please check it out here: www.langchats.com
Love this recommendation. I read the book in English a few years back and now I'm learning German (currently A2) so that's ideal.
if you're a beginner then I really recommend reading "Der kleine Drache Kokosnuss". It's a fun book series about a dragon that goes on many adventures around the world with his friends. The books are also so wonderfully illustrated which makes learning so much more fun and colourful! If you ever enjoyed books written by Enid Blyton or Alfred Hitchcock then I also really recommend "Die Drei Fragezeichen", although these are a bit more advanced unless you buy the "DDF Kids" books. I used to read them aloud to my girlfriend at the time, used to drive her nuts haha!
Danke sehr gut.... Brüder.... ✌
Thanks!
Danke für deine Empfehlung. Mit sehr viele Perfekt Sätze ist das wunderbar. Ich habe dieses Buch in der Schule auf englisch gelesen aber jetzt habe ich viel vergessen 😅
I read the curious incident of the dog in the night-time when I was in year 8 :D it was really good! and I reread it recently! Now I just need to maybe get it in German as well
Thank you so much for this!! Do you have any recommendation of youtube channels or videos to learn german as fast as possible? Thank you!
Hi Jay. This is a brilliant recommendation: thank you! I bought it a couple of weeks ago solely on your word and I'm 2/3 of the way through. As well as being a compelling narrative and a touching story, the German, for me, is easy enough to be enjoyable but challenging enough to stretch me. I've already passed on the recommendation to quite a few fellow learners. So thank you!
