Came up on a Timex Waterbury during this Black Friday. It’s my first Timex. Never thought I’d say this about a Timex but it’s become my favorite watch.

Nice list. Too many great watches in the $2k-5k range to narrow down, but surprised Longines or Tudor didn't make the cut. I also think there are some micro brands that deserved consideration for the sub-$1k award, like Traska or Farer.
Yeah, the new legend diver 39mm and spirit line would’ve been great choices.
To be honest, my personal preference is that that legend diver and the Tudor are nothing impressive.
But I agree with you on Traska.

I LOVE the aaronbespoke strap and I love the "green" BelCanto, I have been trying to find the right strap for it and with the color change depending on the angle I keep going back to the titanium, but I really dig the christmasy vibes... What a find!!
Also couldn´t agree more on Panerai, I took the plunge and I still can´t believe how much I dig it (despite being initially put off by the brand) most worn watch this year...
Another fun tip about the world timer, if you want it to have a more sleek look you can remove the illuminator and world time text on the top and bottom with a pencil eraser.

Love the SBGE285, was torn between it and the 283, but ultimately went 283 just because it blends into the background a little more at work. Both fantastic pieces that don't get talked about nearly enough.

Great choices! I tried on the Khaki Expedition (41) the other day and really liked it. It's like a Khaki Field that's been to the gym. It's just a little bit tougher, yet also more refined. I find it hard to resist getting that very Sinn, though the underrated Monta Triumph might win out. My father picked up the blue teak 38mm Aqua Terra a couple years ago and it's just a stellar watch. He was between that and the TAG Carrera 39mm blue at the same AD, but I'm glad he made the choice to get the AT. It's his first (and still only) luxury watch purchase. My only complaint is it would be better served with a bracelet with some micro adjust. That's it. The new 38mm models are excellent as well. I've tried a couple of those on and the tones are just perfect. I definitely have had my eye on Vertex, but haven't made the leap. I love that lume. I wonder if they will consider a smaller M100A in the future. I think a 38mm version would be a smash hit.
i know it's a limited edition but, Doxa Clive Cussler edition impressed me this year

@@WatchCrunchOfficial I was hoping that the IWC Mark 20 would have made the list as it's close to the perfect watch (just lug to lug is still too long).
Honorable mention. Casio released the GWGB1000 this year which introduces Bluetooth to the GWG1000 series watch. Essentially makes it a smart watch. Seriously underrated and an extremely cool release this year. One of the best rugged outdoor watch, perhaps?

The 2023 Longines Conquest deserves to be on this list over the Sinn. and I would be damned before I spend 3 grand on a Seiko

Nice round up. On the Sinn, I'd say if your budget is up to 2k, then you can even get an 856, which features a host of great Sinn tech vs the 556. Additionally both the 556 and 856 feature top grade movements, not elabore. Btw just treated myself to the Vertex and it's every bit as good as they say.
Cool video. I agree with your sentiments towards Panerai. I never liked them until recently after seeing them on a couple gentleman's wrists. They have their own unique charm.
Great list, I have 3 of them 😁. If Grand Seiko waken up and put a micro adjustment on their bracelet then I’m all in on the mist flake, I really like it. It’s bizarre that they omit this as there are so many great design G.O. Is very cool

GS makes the worst bracelets. Everyone complains about them.
The missus got me a SBGA481 Tokyo Lion last month and it has micro adjustments on the bracelet so your prayers may be answered with the newer models
The Bel Canto is an absolute masterpiece of a watch, and the strap you have it on... absolute FIRE. Nice list man. First time finding your channel :)

I picked up that exact 38mm AT a month ago and haven't been able to put it down. My 4 watch collection has effectively become a 1 watch collection now 🙃

I bought the AT a year and a half ago, and it's been on my wrist ever since. I do want other watches, but at the same time, I don't see myself wearing them all that much because of the AT.

I've been torn for weeks - Mist Flake vs Omega Grey Side of the moon.... I want GMT but my only issue with the GS is it's maybe a smidge too monochromatic. I have a cherry blossom and just that tiny touch of color is perfect. A Grey Side Of the Moon with a GMT movement would be /PERFECT/ life long daily driver for me - Just haven't found "it" yet.
I’d go with the omega. It’s a brilliant watch. So is the mistflake and the sweep of the second hand is mesmerising yes but have you seen the service costs for spring drive? Food for thought. You win either way

Tbh, Seiko for 4k instead of some Tudor it's absurd. I would also suggest hanhaart 417ES instead of Sinn that's starting to feel boring last few years.
Tudor 41 burgundy would’ve been my pick 4-5k.
I guess some would say it’s just a stand in for a Submariner though so I understand the omission. Plus the Seiko SJE is better looking anyway 🤤
The Hamilton Khaki Expedition doesn't just come in black and white; there's a blue version too.
What a great list! I will say that you jumped from 30 to 500 and I think there is a least one more you could put in there. Maybe a $200 one. Also inflation is a hell of a drug! That Sinn 556 used to be $1000 and now it’s up to $2000, that is crazy to me.

Just an fyi - for awareness about Christopher Ward watches - they refused to fix one of their watches that was just out of warranty by a few months claiming that they no longer had parts for it🙄
So basically keep their nice watch as a souvenir.
Really wish you guys would put an analog watch along with the digitals, for guys like me who dont like digital watches

Should I want to create a dream watch (Beyond the Black Bay 54 which Tudor very kindly made...thank you.) Is an Omega Aqua Terra 38mm with a rotating bezel. That would be something special ☺️
My list in £ and I added a 250 category 100 GAB2100, 250 any Seiko 5, 500 Oceanus t200, 1k Christopher Ward, 2k Formex reef, 3k Nomos club sport, 4k Bel Canto, 5k Tudor Pelagos, 6k Rolex OP, 7k Grand Seiko spring drive

It's impossible to pick on in the 2-5K range because there are so many good options, and I appreciate you doing something different, but man is it hard for me to recommend anything other than a Nomos Club Sport 37 in that range

The Seiko and/or the CW could arguably be replaced or tightly paired with one of the many incarnations of the Tudor BB

Great to see the vertex in the list, the m100 has unfortunately killed off the Sinn 556a for me as never gets worn now, it’s the best field watch I’ve ever seen and I genuinely put it above an Explorer as a better tool for the outdoors
I like the 62Mas, but is it better than the Tudor 54? Tuff one to call.

Seiko has been seen as the brand that has the best value at every pricepoint
The Casio on that leather strap looks amazing however recommending a Timex for $200. I know that it's customary for influencers to promote Timex but the quality is super low and the prices are high. I don't get it.

Excellent vid, Max. It's rare that one of my watches makes it on lists like this; the Aqua Terra. I have the 41 on leather strap, it's my favorite of 20 watches, although my new Planet Ocean is creeping real damn close.
I consider the AT to be the most,beautiful thing ever made that isn't a Jaguar E-Type.
Other way around for me. My blue dial 38mm AT has replaced my blue dial 39.5mm PO as a most worn watch. I’ve just bought a 36mm Explorer 1 which is muscling in on the action though. Also agree on the E-Type, although the Ferrari 275 runs it pretty close.
