Yes! Arabic perfumes were the best kept secret for the longest time for expensive-smelling scent at a reasonable price. People are starting to discover these scents, so I’m hoping that the prices don’t jump up.

I swear by L’eau d’Issey by Issey Miyake. It’s a powerhouse - unbelievable longevity, and has a delicious waterlily aquatic edge but it is truly beautiful and generally inexpensive. Also good- Cabotine Eau Vivide by Gres. It has a sea salty quality but is a nice fresh. Mellower but nice and more of a pure fresh is Shi by Alfred Sung. All low budget but quality perfumes.
Appreciate the affordable options. I have both expensive & less expensive fragrances. I love them all! Can buy more with the affordable options.

I was at the start of my perfume journey about 2 years ago and at the time all I could afford was cheapies. Well, here I am still using them and loving them! YES I use and love Loverdose, Seductive Noir, Lolita Lempicka, CK Beauty and others not mentioned that I really enjoy: Lovely by SJP, Guess Gold, CK Obsession Night, Eden by Cacharel… there are tonnes of great smelling inexpensive options for every scent palate that smell glamourous rich.

Yes!! I am so over every perfume recommendation being so expensive! Especially on fragrantica, you can put in a bath and body works spray, and all of the smells like recommendations are 200, 250. Luckily my signature perfume that I've been wearing for 30 years now is only $40, but I like checking out others without breaking the bank! ❤️
I would definitely love to see a video about your top Middle Eastern pics - I love your perfume recommendations and it seems like there are so many great affordable Middle Eastern scents out there. Rose Gourmand is one of my favorite and most complimented perfumes. You're right, it's beast mode! I've heard it compared to Mancera's Roses Vanille. I think it smells like Gentle Fluidity Gold as well.
Not only was I with you when you first recommended Guess Seductive Noir, but I bought it on your recommendation. I love it! It is one of my favorites. Now that I think of it , you may be the UA-camr that's convinced me to buy the most since we both like our cheapies.

As for Amouage Guidance, I think it will be a challenging one for you. My overall impression when I first smelled it was coconut/fruity/rose BO. I have yet to try it on my skin even though I have a decant of it, because it leaked a little in the mail, and it absolutely reeked. It was very strong, so I’m too scared. LOL. Maybe I’ll try it soon on my actual skin. 😅

Looove this topic: I've owned from body sprays to a few relatively more affordable niche fragances and from experiencie I can tell you some Victoria's Secret body sprays ( midnigth bloom) last more than a few nichè perfumes. One can find good and bad fragrances through all price ranges.

Yes guidance is amazing and like you say it last and lasts all day ☺️I love amuage and fell right into the rabbit hole with them and my bank balance took a hit but after realising there middle eastern made me fall further into the middle eastern fragrance and to say I've been addicted is an understatement 😦

I'm so glad that you recommended Guess Seductive Noir, I purchased it not long after you talked about it. The sage in it is forever better than lavender to me, it's incredibly intoxicating. Dries down to the most edible vanilla, swoon.

I had it and thought it would replace Mon Guerlain for me. Nope. Something in it gives me a headache. I passed it on to my daughter, who doesn’t seem to gravitate to it. Meanwhile, MG and numerous flankers don’t fail me.

I agree, amouage guidance has so mixed reviews. Some says it smells like s**t and some says it's the sexiest perfume ever! Hipster oud is so good and lasts so long, love it. Original Billie Eilish is a Love!!!
I love Classic from Banana Republic! Under $30 and the best clean, fresh, musky scent- something in there reminds me a little of Another 13. So good!
I love Guess Seductive Noir for me it smells like more airy flanker of Mon Guerlain. I think the sage is what makes it elegant and deep. I love Mon Guerlain too, but the price of Seductive is amazing and I use is much more often.

Egyptian musk oil. I’ve been wearing it since I was 18. Cheap, $10 to $15 for a small bottle that lasts over a year…and no less than 3 people will ask me what I’m wearing every time I wear it. I have the expensive stuff, it doesn’t get even close to the amount of attention.

I love Guidance so much and I had Hipster Oud and I gave it away.They don’t smell alike at all .Guidance is so strong and lasts all day and the next day.Hipster Oud fades after around 3 hours.Thank you for your videos you always have great fragrances some I never heard of.
I have Eilish No. 1 and 3, I'm a big vanilla lover so I definitely enjoy No. 1 and it doesn't give my sweetie any headaches lol. No. 3 doesn't have any cherry, my skin really pulls the fir and cedar out of it. Someone on her website said it smells like a Christmas tree lol. I can see that, it's not heavy at all to me, just something I would gravitate more to in the winter while No. 1 is every day. No. 3 doesn't last very long on me either.
Eilish 1&3 are two of my favorite perfumes. #3 reminds me a lot of Glossier You with that pink peppercorn note.
Born Dreamer shares several notes with Guidance. I’ve layered them. I think you would like Guidance. I bought it blind. But I wouldn’t recommend that. lol

I found Mac creme dnude at Ross and so glad I took the gamble!! It is so smooth and does smell LUXURIOUS! I’m bummed I discovered it during the summer since one spray almost suffocated me 😂 but I can’t wait to wear it more often when it’s a little more chilly or for date nights.
Ksenja, I have rose gourmand and I also own Gentle Fluidity Gold and two 2 fragrances smell identical to each other.
On or off budget I enjoy body sprays. And I will always layer my perfume with one.

I would catch public transportation before 6 a.m., so some passengers would be sleeping/resting. One day, as I was walking down the aisle, a guy I thought was asleep "woke" up to tell me that I always smell so good. It was MAC Turquatic. I went to purchase Bright Crystal, and the salesperson asked if I had it on because it smells hood if so. It was MAC Turquatic. I always keep a bottle of it, and it always gets the job done. It started as a blind buy, and I've never looked back. I always go back to it.

Fun fact: one of the noses behind two fragrances you’ve recommended, Cacharel Yes I Am and Calvin Klein Women is Honorine Blanc.. she, along with other perfumers, helped created some absolutely gorgeous scents, ie Black Opium (and numerous flankers) La Nuit Tresor a La Folie, Juicy Gold Couture, Gucci Gorgeous Jasmine, Valentino Voce Viva, etc.. I really love her work along with Nathalie Lorson, Oliver Cresp, Anne Flipo and Michel Almairac.. and many others!

I have everything from Nishane, PdM, Initio to everything Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson and many in between; the fact is fragrance can be amazing at various prices, and I’ve learned to never scoff at “budget fragrances” just because others do.. I sample across the board and have found MANY gems that don’t cost a fortune but smell like it!

Dahlia lotion under Good Girl perfume is perfection.
I have those two Macs The Nude one is great for winter. Hypnotic Vanilla is a fave and Zara has the designers in a chokehold, I have many of their perfumes. They do last long.roae Gourmand is said to dupe Rose Vanilla.

What would you say the difference is with the current version vs the old?
@@basskitten808. The older one smells stronger. Either the anise or licorice were more prominent before. The formula has been tweaked, it’s not a major difference but the older formula was one of my favorites so I noticed the difference.
I agree 💯. Have you smelled the newest formulation? It comes in the stem bottle and is supposed to be closer to the original than the 2018 formulation.

I know it's a cheapie video, but if you love Turquatic, then i HIGHLY recommend Acqua di Gioia by Armani. It too has citrus and cedar notes but it also has jasmine which I am obsessed with. It's also not as expensive as some other designer fragrances. My go to for spring/summer. Would love to hear your thoughts on it😊
Aqua de Gioia is one of my faves.

Oooh. I just happen to be wearing Rose Gourmand today. That's quite a coincidence with my collection. Anyway, a UA-camr, who I do admire, said in her video, that Roses Vanille lasts longer, so between the two just get that. I did get Roses Vanille and then ended up getting a 10ml of Rose Gourmand later. Now I wish I'd just gotten the Roses Vanille. I like it better, I think it lasts longer and it costs way less. Oh, well. I like Roses Vanille, and I still have half my rollerball of Rose Gourmand left, so I have nothing to complain about. It's fun to be surprised by quality in low cost fragrances.
Not a cheap cheapie and I know you’ve spoken about them before but I own every one from the Elie Saab girl of now line. You can get them pretty cheap if you search around and wowwww they last, smell amazing and they’re the only perfumes I get loads of compliments on!
I just picked up Oscar De La Renta Bella Rosa for $16.99 at Ross. WOW! Ive worn in 4 days in a row and put some on my wrists before bed so I can sniff it while I cuddle my pillow. Rosey, powdery, woody....so so good. Nothing synthetic just like a soft walk through a pink rose garden.
I got a random Hollister mist the other day that smells like a pina collada. And I am shook.. I did 1 SPRAY on my wrist just to try it and kept smelling coconut even after 4 hours at work. That's crazy for a mist..
I have a different mix of scents because I want to smell great but be different from everyone else. My expensive go-to is Penhaligon’s (more well-known in the UK and EU but not so much in the US), and my inexpensive go-to are Arabian perfumes.
Mon by guerlain dries down like heaven on me and I’m sadly getting bored since I only wear one scent. The secret is letting the bottle age. I personally gag smelling mon if the bottle is new and the “juice” is still light colored. If you leave the cap off and the bottle in a dry cool dark closet for about a month the color will turn to cognac color and voila your slice of heaven. You will have the creamiest vanilla with light floral and lavender opening. I’ll say it again the trick is letting it age and the beauty is in the dry down. It’s a your skin but better scent but will amazing projection. Once a lady went into my bathroom and sprayed the scent without me knowing. carnal sin if you ask me to go through someone's makeup bag however - When she walked in to our living room I instantly knew what she had done. Not in a smack in the face way but a Hey, Hello I smell like every beauty think you can smell and a dance in the sun on a warm day. I live in California so it reminds me of a botanical garden with vanilla here. I’m not a collector of fragrances but more like a signature scent searcher eternally. Mon EdT NEVER edp will always have the softest place in my heart. I was married wearing Mon and when my husband smells someone wearing it in public, he says “It smells like you here”. I will try your recommendations and see if I can replicate that warm hug this scent gives me. Thank you for giving options for those of us that feel horrible spending so much however what wouldn’t I give to smell like an angel.

Yes both are great! I love the powdery drydowns. If you are looking for more patchouli Cacharel Eden is wonderfully earthy. And I got Yes I Am And that one is great too. I have heard Yes I am Delicious is even better but haven’t got it yet. Cacherel is one of my favourite perfume houses although I don’t vibe to their most famous Anais Anais. I blind bought it because I like so many others but it’s too harshly screechy for me. I’ve heard you have to let that age for it to smell better? Waiting now, to test out that theory.
I LOVED MAC Creme d Nude every time I sprayed a tester but when I recently got a bottle it smelled like gasoline. The suede note mixed with the overwhelming alcohol scent I believe is what was doing that. I was gutted but I had to return it 😩
I do wonder if I just got a faulty bottle or something. My bottle was also pretty scuffed up but it was brand new 🤔 🤷🏻♀️
