Damn Eli, where was your video about 3 months ago? It didn't come up on Tubes and you aren't on eBay. I've already did minds but the time that it took to learn how to remove them was a lot. If I have found this video in my search it was have been completed in 1 day instead 3 or 4 days.

I was looking to install a subwoofer in the center seat until I saw that module. Is that something that might disturb it with the magnet and vibrations? Hate to have my airbags go off when the beat drops! TIA!!
This is a very interesting question. Yes, the vibrations might cause the roof and side airbags to go off. Yes for sure it might be a bad idea to install a subwoofer in the center sear area next to the airbag computer.
My pet peeve when looking for straight forward answers is when the presenter prefers to hear themselves talk instead of getting right to the information needed. All I can say is thank God you can skim a video on UA-cam.

Might be a dumb question but if I send the module in I won’t be able to drive the truck until I put it back in?
This is actually one of most common question asked. Yes the vehicle will still run and drive without the airbag module, of course do it at your own risk, air bags and SRS system wi not work properly unless the air bag light is off.
Also check your seat belts to make sure they work. If they don't work properly or stuck, we can rebuild them.

Randy, as long as the module we are resetting for you is original to the car, you don't need to program it. In other words, if we are resetting the same module that was in the car during the accident, its already reset. No additional programming needed in that case. I have a 2009 chevy silverado hybrid 1500 that had a air bag error. It said that the drivers side rear sensor was bad. we replaced that and still can't clear the code. it was replaced with a OEM sensor. It appears that the module is at fault. 2 things. what do you charge to reset the module? Also can the vehicle be driven without the module until it's returned from repair? Finally, what's the turn time on the repair?

I have a 2014 Silverado crew cab that was in a wreck, do the back seat, seat belts need reset also?
The back seat belts on that vehicle should be just regular non-pretensioner seat belts. You can just check to see if they are locked or if they work properly as they should. We can rebuild seat belts if they are bad or locked, not working correctly.
Good morning, I just bought a Silverado 2016 which has the front end wrecked and the steering wheel airbag is deployed. Im going to replace that but, my question is, do i meed to replace this module too? Or ill find that out once i put the new airbag?
Yes after vehicle was in an accident it will store crash history and SDM module (airbag module) needs to be replaced or can be reset.

Do I need to change front sensors if I have air bags and seat belts deployed??
Roberto, the original impact sensors are ok to use unless they are physically cracked, damaged or if you are getting a code for it/them. Even then, make sure they are mounted correctly and firmly.

How can you tell if the seat belt pretentioner and seat module has been compromised without tearing it apart?
If the seat belt is bad, then usually the airbag light will be on. Also, same for the airbag control module. After vehicle is in collision/accident then seat belt will be locked and not work correctly. MyAirbags can rebuild the seat belt and reset airbag control module.

That is a really good question. We have heard of some people/companies throw away all internal parts away and just make it a regular seat belt instead of a pretensioner seat belt. When we repair it, we use all OEM parts and replace all bad/failed parts, that is including the pyro sensor (tensioner) part. Yes it will work as the seat belt was designed to work. I have a 2016 GMC Sierra Denali, vehicle was in a side colission. Airbag light is on and seat belts are locked. The SDM has a stored fault code B0052 - Deployment Commanded. Tried to clear this code and it does not go away. I see that you service clears crash history and crash codes. After an accident, it is very probable that the seat belt has deployed. There's more than one way to know for sure. One very clear way is just to see if the seat belt is locked up. Sometimes belts are deployed but can still move. In those cases, you can still find out by scanning the car with a scan tool or you can also remove the belt and check resistance with a OHM meter as we show in this video here: ua-cam.com/video/A2iqMqdbb5U/v-deo.html

Seats or Seat Belts? Seats can be replaceable but look to see if there is a weight sensor on the seat. If there is make sure to remove the sensor from the old seat and install on the new seat. Reason for asking this is because I have a 2014 Silverado lt cloth interior and upgraded to a 2018 leather interior, everything works but the airbag light is on, on the dash, idk if the airbag wiring are different.

Ivan cortez, I couldn't find a way to turn it off so wat i did I just swap the covers, took off the leather cover and put it on my old seats driver and passenger side. Thats how I fix it. I went the easy way I guess.

Yes, you can replace the airbag with another used or new replacement, and the light will turn off. Airbags dont need to be programmed.

@@alanfelix79 just make sure the module is bolted down with ALL bolts. Because most of new modules are plastic and it needs to be bolted down with all bolts. If not then roof airbags will deploy as it will think the car is flipping/roll-over.
Quick question. So my 2014 silverado just had the airbag recall done, and now the ventilation system doesn't work. Blows really loudly, but nothing comes out the vents and sounds like stuff is moving around the dash. Is this even possible? Is there a video that shows how the airbag recall is done on this truck? That sounds like a different problem. Perhaps they removed the vent and sid not assemble it back correctly?

That is a great question. We did reset GMC/Chevy airbag control modules for vehicles under year 1998. We have stopped doing them because it is hard to get replacement chips/mcu's for these modules.

Looks like problem is with the driver airbag. Issue could be with:
1. Bad clockspring that is behind the driver airbag
2. Loose driver airbag connector
3. Bad driver airbag

Hi Victor, There are impact sensors in front. Theres usually 2 of them, one on each side. They are mounted near or on the radiator support.

Airbag module reset is $59.99 and seat belt repair is $89.99. But there is a 2nd piece for the seat belt that could have gone bad as well. It is the lower anchor tensioner that is located on the seat, next to the door. Take a look at it, its most likely bad as well. Send that part as well and we will take cate of it.

Yes, the passenger seat position sensor is under the passenger seat.
Whats the code or light that comes on when the seatbelts deploy?
There is a lot of different DTC codes for that and they are different based on year, make and model of the vehicle. But the code description is usually one of these:
1. Circuit open for Seat Belt Pretensioner
2. Seat Belt Pretensioner Too High
3. Usually any fault code for seat belt, pretensioner or buckle.

Yes this is a very common deployment commanded error code. Usually with this code, airbags did not deploy but the code got set. The SDM airbag control module needs to be reset. Here is more info on how to get your airbag module reset:
