I don’t see the impact sensor on your website for my 06 gmc yukon xl 1500 does this sensor go by a different name?
I did a little research and I am certainly not a mechanic. My wife God bless her soul decided to go out in the driveway and vacuum out and wipe down the inside of the 2011 Tahoe.. when I got home and started it up I had a service airbag light. I asked her what she did and she basically explain that she raised the seats and push them all the way forward to vacuum under and behind and then move them all the way back to vacuum the front footwell.. one of the videos I found said there is a connector on the driver seat where your right hip would be underneath that becomes loose or breaks and needs a new connector and solder repair.. it may also exist on the passenger side this is for the 07 through 14 GM

I waited. And studied it. Finally found the airbag / ignition fuses num 45 on a 09 Silverado my air bag fuse was blown 15 Amp. My service light off. I'm so happy only 100000.on mine

Okay 1.I love your videos, 2. I just replaced my clock spring and steering position sensor and it worked fine, but I not knowingly I unplugged my Range Technology from my obd2 (because I have a 2011 suburban with DOD) and now the airbag light is on and it seems everytime I turn the steering wheel or hit a bump it pops up the notification on my dash and it's getting annoying

Hello 1A! Is it normal for the service light to stay on after replacing the sensor? Do you need to clear it/drive for 50 miles or whatever to clear it? I don't have an OBD II that reads the SRS system so I wouldn't be able to clear it. The video shows he cleared the code, but there is no mention if the dash light stays on until it is cleared. Thank you!

I do have access to a scan tool that’s capable but I’m lazy and don’t want to go to the shop to ask a friend to check it out. Is it common for the front impact sensor to fail due to its location? The friend I bought my truck from used to drive on the beach so I feel like it’s more than likely the front sensor due to the salt water and sand

Bet it’s the oil pressure sensor
Check engine light is no big deal. Air bag light means no airbags when light is on, so the airbag light is more important for safety
Check engine light is important in states where inspections are required
Maybe the check engine light is on because the engine isn’t running…
chevy cobalt 2010 air bag sensor location
I replaced both sensors and the light still on. What else could it be that causes the light to stay on?
I just came from a Chevy Dealer to have the airbag sensor recall work done. Light still on and they said there's nothing they can do about it.
I do believe the clock spring in the steering wheel is pretty common. There are lots of videos on utube about replacing it.

Not the case with my 2022 , if it is a faulty sensor is probably not even there.. best bet is the dealership for me
Funny. Service airbag light comes on and they say don't drive it. Safety issue. Bags won't deploy in a wreck. Well what's the difference in driving an old mid 80s vehicle that didn't have them. Is that a safety issue too?
first you have to check the air bag fuse to make sure that bad sensor

+D E Thanks for checking us out! That may or may not work depending on the year of the vehicle. If you don't change the bad sensor then it will come right back if the codes are cleared or battery is disconnected.
