What I love about this cover is the symbolism. Each and every voice can be heard in the chorus. Just like in Smash; where each character is unique, but together work towards a common goal
I've always imagined this cover as the fighters (at least the ones who can) singing as they march toward Galeem and Darkon after they've all been awakened. For a brief moment, heroes and villains all unite as one to conquer a greater evil. Not with fear, but eager determination. As the voices switch it pans to different characters, each using the melody as motivation to come out on top.
I like to think of it as galeem and darkhon puppeting the souls to give hope that there is a way out a endpoint but ultimately the hope will only fuel their bloodlust to fight to get out: this is a dark non plausible way of thinking about it

I completely agree. This one completely slaps. Probably due to their being 10 ppl singing, as opposed to 1. Also Juno’s “Rising slowly stirring heat from the coals” line gives it many points

To be fair, they both use pretty close to their normal voice for those characters (as far as we know at least)
