what an awesome place to be, sitting in your yak seeing the sun come up. A bird on your rod and an awesome strike to be followed, insane man! That's life if you ask me
I agree man, no better way to spend a morning! Thank you for the comment 🙌🏼
Is “a bird on your Rod” a euphemism?
Loving the content lately Nev! Seriously envy you being able to go out fishing as much as you do! Looking forward to seeing your channel blow up even more
Glad you enjoy the vids mate, I sure am super lucky!!
"and some yakka, please fishing lords give us a craker" 😂😂😂😂
Hahaha was desperate
Lovely morning out there Nev. I agree, best place to be. Well done.
Cheers mate!
i've been out with your Dad before for flathead, awesome guy and he's crazy fast at fileting
loving the kayak videos mate inspiring me and my mate to kayak fish
Awesome to hear mate!
G'day mate. . You've got such great content, it's surprising that you haven't hit the 60k subbers mark. Thank you for taking us along with you. Thanks for taking the time to upload. Atb from across the ditch.
We will get there mate! And no worries, glad you enjoy the content
You’re little friend brought you some luck. Class as always, thanks for the upload… Revisit Tooradin again soon ? 😂😂
Haha he sure did! Might go back to Tooradin sometime soon👌🏼
When there is a shark, pack it up and go to a different spot. Love the effort Nev, thanks for another vid buddy.
I find the same when dolphins are around as well , pack up move to another location .
Thanks Nev for another upload Nev, a great video as always😁
Cheers mate!!
I feel im helping you're channel mate, ive got you to 40 now lets get nev to 50K YEOW WELL DONE MAN!
Hey nev
How are you I just have a couple of questions
What is your anchor setup on your Hobie?
Can you fish out the front of Barwon heads for some tuna some time?
Also your videos are the best you are very inspirational keep up the awesome work and can’t wait to keep watching your videos
Have a good one mate🤙🤙
I love that song you just did 😁😁
Hhahah was waiting for someone to comment on it ;)
We do get dissapointed time to time , but just being out there is great. Alot you work you have put in there from catching baits , to preping kayaks and lightings , cameras and editing , huge effort.
love the biggie smalls remix you threw in there!
Hi nev, loved the video
Could you tell me some good locations in western port for calamari this time of year (land based)
Bummer on the late season Snapper, Nev! Great vid as always!!
Appreciate it mate! I'll get one eventually!
Another great Vid
That Skate was a Boeing 747 😮
constant uploads, I LOVE IT!!!
Glad you enjoy mate!
Great vid as always, keep up the great work.
Will do mate, cheers!
Hey nev, love when ya upload. Your videos are good quality and interesting with sum good tips mate.
Have a good arvo
Appreciate that mate, good to hear you pick up a few tips too! Have a good arvo mate!
Probably a noob kind of question but how are you keeping your kayak facing the one direction without having it rotate around with the current anchored?
I've been looking at drift socks for my kayak but don't think I can see one here on yours..
Loving the videos mate!
Great vid nev, keep us the great work. 🤙
Thanks mate!
Can you do a video about how you make your snapper rig?
Another great video Nev, thanks. Random weirdo question for you... Is there a reason all Australian fishing UA-camrs seem to have their rods set up left handed? Over here almost all fixed spool reels have the handle on the left and only multipliers are set up left handed. Anyway, thanks again for another cracking vod buddy
Yeh makes me feel weird seeing them reel in seemingly the wrong way to us haha.
Hahaha I’m not too sure mate, personally was taught that way but it probably isn’t most effective. Glad you enjoyed the vid though 👍🏼
It's because we are upside down. It's reverse to us
@@RedemptionTackle now that actually makes sense 🤣🤣
It's because the first person who came over to Australia to fish was a lefty. Then all the right-handed fishos got used to it... now they all fish left-handed without knowing it. I am British and fish over here a lot, it is crazy to see them cast one hand then change hands to wind with their casting arm!
GET EM NEV!!! SHOW THEM THE OLD LEFT RIGHT xD
40k subscribers mate doing well waiting for that elusive Pinky may be next week
Appreciate it! Hopefully the snapper comes soon!
Gotta love when Nev posts a video just wondering what brand the kayak is
Hobie kayak
What rod and reel would recommend (under $300) for snapper/gummy fishing off jetties and beaches at Phillip Island ? Thanks for your videos, they are inspiring.
Getting to cold for me now mate, wait now for spring
Great video young Nev😁
Cheers mate!
As always a great video, especially seeing the gumi shark.
Can I ask why you cut the line so far from the hooks on the other fish? Just interested, if you don't ask you'll never know.
🎣😎🐟
The answer is he is not a good fisherman, you should unhook the fish , it is very easy
@@mrsamsebastian we should always unhook if possible but I wasn't sure if there was something on the fish that was nasty that I didnt know about.
I thought the same thing. I always feel like an absolute dog leaving them in. People say “they rust out” but they don’t that’s been proven
At least give it a go to get ya hooks out fella, if you’re too scared to touch the rays then don’t fish big baits where they live and stick to your whiting 🐓
@@cheza7061 something dangerous?!?! you and your lack of knowledge about what you are doing is the most dangerous thing ever!
Dont do this and don't harm the nature if you dont know what you are doing. Something dangerous! The most ridiculous answer ever!
@@mrsamsebastian Shut up, I just asked a question that's how we learn.
Hey Nev! How do you have so much time to go fishing?
Because I his job
It's**
Hey Nev, what boat ramp is that?
At 2:52 what rod and reel is that in your hands, it looks perfect for bread and butter species, the reel looks like a sienna or a stradic but I don’t know, can you please tell me
Zodias and stradic combo. Forgot to add it to the description, my bad
@@NevsFishing all good, I knew it would be a stradic, much love nev
Your crazy man!! Such a good fisherman 💪
Good fisherman leaves fish with hook on?!! Joke!
Hey ive been watching you for a while not but im wondering where you got that kayak from
I got my kayak from SLHobie in Mornington
its amazing watching fishers from the next state over and seeing them catch the same fish but its all completely different (not the fishing methods but the sizes and quantities) From SA to Vic we have almost all the same fish yet we seem to get larger fish at less quantities, our Gummies tend to be a bit bigger (we catch them off the reefs though) but i would say we catch less of them, our Snapper on average are bigger but they aren't as numerous (and we have a ban on them currently) our KGs get bigger (SA is famous in the fishing world for big KG whiting) but again there aren't as many of them (still plenty)
its reflected a bit in the size limits aswell KG whiting in vic has a size limit of 27cm and a bag limit of 20 while here its 32cm and a bag limit of 10 Snapper is 28cm and a bag limit of 10 Snapper in SA before the ban was a size limit of 38cm and a bag limit of 5 (i believe it was 5)
And mulloway in Vic has a size limit of 60cm? thats 22cm smaller then here in SA and thats surprising to me as when i talk to mates from Victoria the general perception i get is our Mulloway stocks are actually one of the fish we get in higher quantities then in Vic, 60cm just baffles me.
and thats nothing against the fisherman themselves it just doesnt make sense to me on how you guys manage to keep healthy fish stock levels with size limits that low.
Size limits are a delicate balance and higher isn’t always better. 28-30 is regarded as a good size for Snapper as while they’re numerous in those sizes they aren’t extremely numerous to the point where people are bagging out on Pinkies from the pier day in day out. What this lower size limit does is encourage fishers to fill their bag with less mature, more numerous fish rather than bagging the larger, healthy breeding stock
@@yoshistar8889 your also taking out a lot fo the fish who are yet to get 1 or 2 good breeding seasons into them at 28-30cm they are just mature enough to breed so if you take them out of the system they just never get the chance to spawn this is why such a small size limit does not make much sense.
there is a reason why there are above Xcm size limits in place for snapper in both Vic and SA (before ban) its to limit how many big breeding fish are taken out of the water, it was 60cm in SA (i always throught it should be 50cm) and lets be clear a snapper in the 40cm is still a small snapper
love it that you shortened trevelly to trev haha classic Aussies love em
Good on ya nev keep the videos comin 🤙
BRO IT'S PINGADING FROM BADLION UHC HAHAHAH OMFG PROUD OF U BRO KEEP IT UP!!
Hahahha cheers Ping! Hope you’re keeping well brother
SAY HELLO TO MY LITTLE FRIEND such a Lovely event
Congrats on 40k aswell
Thanks mate!
Hey Nev, just wondering why you dont try to take the hooks out of the rays?
Because he is not a good fisherman, he does not know and he does not care about fish. Unhooking fish is very easy!
That famous squid rod seems to be featured in a lot of those catches.
Is a good combo that one 👌🏼
well done Nev.
Very good video mate
Appreciate it!
Love your vids from nz keep it up 👍
Appreciate it mate!
what brand dry pants are they mate cheers
Lovig Dry Pants
are you gonna do a surf fishing vid ????
At some stage for sure :)
Nice one brother!
Cheers brother!
nice one nev
👌🏼
Was that a pb whiting? Should of given it a measure
Was 44cm, close!
Nice video mate
🙌🏼
No luck you just blessed !
why do you only go for squid or snapper?
Can you link your dads charter cause I mite check it out
In the description
Let’s goooooo nev a new vid
yessir!!
Nice nev's
what lb line would ya put on a 6500?
I love your catch and release but one day just see how you fillet a gummy.
Soooooo funnn to watch ^v^
surprising how many sharks there are around where you fish. But other than that another great video
I agree mate, is heaps of sharks around. Cheers!
40k :o massive man
Yessir!! Onwards and upwards :)
When’s your rap album coming out?😜
Hahhaha nobody wants that ;)
Yeah what a rotten morning you had Nev. Meanwhile in Scotland......
What rods do you use
In the description
Ok Thanks love the content
Where in western port
come on Nev couldn't you have kept that gummy, they are good eating, yes it's me again. Allan
Hahaha I released him so you can get him mate! Cheers👍🏼
@@NevsFishing thank you mate, you are all good
Brain killing your catch wouldn't go astray Nev. I don't think choking to death as that humane personally.
I just don’t show it in the vid but I definitely do humanely dispatch my catch (brain them).
@@NevsFishing Understanding mate, UA-cam would probably ban you for showing that.
To get rays off the bottom, twang your line.
👍👍👍👍
Trevally are nice to eat...
Instead of waisting for bait
I didn’t know in Australia there are places with this much of trash fish!
what a vid
Yessir! 🔥
:)
danwatts
Aka trash
Am surprised, why don't you remove the hooks from the rays' mouths instead of cutting the line ? It's so cruel.
Because he is not a good fisherman, he does not know and he does not care about fish. Unhooking fish is very easy!
Good fish. You should kill the fish rather than letting them suffer and die in your Esky.
I enjoy the videos but referring to yourself as "we" kinda annoys me. I get the idea of making the audience feel included but it just seems silly. Just saying, call it constructive criticism. Still looking forward to the next vid but might have to mute it haha
To each their own mate I personally like it
@@thecasual1011 yep fair call mate it'd be a boring world if we all thought the same 👍
Shame on you leaving the fish with hook on. You should learn how to unhook a big fish. It is very simple.
would u rather be safe and cut it off or get a massive barb in ur arm
