This is a PSA to all Yo-Kai fans: WE ARE GETTING A NEW GAME During the last Level 5 Vision, they teased a new game with a mascot looking oddly similar to Jibanyan. We also have reason to believe that this new game will be called Ghost Craft. It has been directly confirmed that we'll get a proper reveal this Summer and indirectly confirmed that it will release worldwide, at the same time as the Japanese version
The thing about the "remake" is that if you look at the game files you'll realise it's actually a direct port of the 3DS version but reworked for other platforms, so everything is basically identical aside from the few new things they added
I just finished replaying the original game on 3DS! It’s been fun to compare my modern team to my previous two runs from years ago. I remember playing it for the first time when it first released in the West, when I was the same age as Nate and the others, and I was instantly drawn in :) Still remains one of my favorite series
I hope to see Yokai-Watch return once we hear the announcements, I love both the game and show and playing it officially in English would be a dream come true!
wayfaror manor doesnt work off your switch friend list actually, you speak to the owner and a random amount of yokai can appear in the mansion , you can do this daily. This includes VIP yokai like pandanoko which are much easier to befriend!
I actually remember coming across an article on the Yo-kai Watch reddit saying how Level 5 does plan on bringing the series back to the West. It should be happening sometime this year. If I had to bet on when, I'd say during a nintendo direct.

This marathon inspired me to finish 1-3 and blasters for like the first time, they're all wonderful games (I think 2's my favorite though since I watched the movie when it premiered in theaters so I connected with it more)

Although, considering Nintendo of America was the original reason we got these games outside of Japan, it was a VERY good thing production swapped to the 3DS.
I took down all of my old ones at one point because I was planning to rebrand the channel earlier in the year and for some reason there's no option to hide or private them. There's also one I took down recently because I talked about a video that I ultimately decided to not make.

But I guess Level-5 has zero faith in Yokai Watch doing well in the States or other English speaking countries, especially during the time of release. I’m kinda excited to see you appear to tackle Yokai Watch Jam: Y Academy (or whatever the literal translations of the Japanese title is that’s slipping my mind at the moment) in the next possible videos. As I haven’t encountered much people talking about that part of the franchise.
As someone with Yo-Kai Watch 1 Switch physically, I'd love it if they did a physical release if they do it for any Yo-Kai Watch game to test the waters in the west. Also Yo-Kai Watch 2 on switch would go hard imo
The success of something like PalWorld (even tho it seems like it never existed honestly) shows that people are getting sick of Pokémon (YKW is vastly different but it is still the same genre), which is honestly makes it surprising how Level 5 never bothered to port YKW1 Switch over in the west. There is an audience and the fandom had being growing, especially recently. It's hopefully only a matter of time before Level 5 does something with YKW in the West. Level 5 hear our prayers 🙏

You know I’ve been wondering this when I first saw that yo Kai watch one was remade on switch the very first thing that I wondered was “if we can’t scan QR codes any more how do we get the gemnyans?” Can we just not get them anymore,are they a post game thing now,or do we have to do some special side quests to get them? If anyone knows how please tell me!🙏🙏🙏
They're a lot harder to get in this version. Your best bet of getting them is through the Wayfarer Manor, but they're pretty rare. You can also scan in their individual keystones (or arks) to get their items, but that involves tracking them down and dishing out the money to buy them.
The improved visuals are total eye candy to me. It also means alot to me you can more feasibly get Pandanoko. However, the ability to get Gemnyans and Crank Coins irks me immensely. I sincerely hope YKW2, Busters RCCWDS and YKW3 can get similar treatment and make getting everything more reasonable. You would think that since an EN patch that can be installed with a mere mod would make this a safe and low risk EN release but then I imagine there are Union VA contracts getting in the way among other reasons. Just my theory.

It's still the worst Ykw game, but the English mod has a full story translation, so at least you can review that

Well, Level-5 has an event planned for this summer, but they didn't specify the month, so there's a chance it could be July or August.
