Transformers have a maximum amperage that they can output. To output higher amperage, the input voltage needs to be higher or the transformer needs to be larger. What is the output amperage of this contraption?
if the capacitor shorted, you will blow up whatever device on the output. a good old autotransformer is the best and they are cheap anyway now from China 220VAC to 110VAC step down

bro the upper resistor you can use it as the same value as the other one but in more wattage to let more current pass
