Every time I tune in to your Chanel Andrew you have a new type of equipment thank goodness that you have turned a small backhoe into a yard full of different type of equipment good for you and wish you luck !
i found andrew without knowing he was a you-tuber and about the time i started , i bought some logs from him and Jesse helped which led to us becoming friends
im here coz of Andrew Camarata and saw ure excellent work at his castle and now im subscribed to ure chanel too, greetings from Stockholm Sweden! keep the vidoes coming!
Dan LOve the beams, and now understand why the insulation was not in the attaic yet! You and Mrs. W. make a great team, in everything you both do together.!thank you for sharing Dan. God bless you both.
Andrew Camarata is a good man and I admire a lot and is good to know you are very good friends, I know you though Andrew Camarata and your son Jesse Muler by the ficture channel on is channel. Give my regards to Andrew Camarata when you see him and your son Jesse Muler and kind regards to you and the wife and thanks for keeping us intertained with your hard work 👍 👌
29:00 Awesome cinematic shot. This was a really cool video. I really like your wood ceiling. My house is 50 years old and the textured plaster is starting to crack.
I love your videos...keep up the good work. Mrs. W should start a channel focused around her running life, I'm sure she would inspire anyone watching... also still looking for her channel on singing.
Are you going to leave all that natural or are you going to put like stained or a linseed oil or varnish on that wood? This so great to see Both of you working on your Home together!! May the Lord bless you folks and keep you Safe! All the best from Surrey BC Canada
Now I see why you wanted to wait to put the beams up before you put the attic insulation. It would’ve been hard for you to to snug up the beams with all the insulation in the way.
Very nice! Never understood the modern fixation on sheetrock as opposed to wood on interior surfaces. Wood has such character whereas sheetrock has absolutely none. Wood as well is a joy to work with. I never can get excited about rock and mud. Always made me shudder when yuppies would buy a place and rip out the wood to sheetrock everything. Took away the soul of the structure. Looks like you need a good infeed and outfeed for your planer? Pour a level walkway to place it on would make the long stuff much easier to work with.
I'm always uncomfortable seeing Mrs W only wearing sandals with the amount of potential splinters or heavy objects that could crush toes. Good job to both of you
You desperately need to buy/build some in-feed and out-feed rollers/support for those long pieces to insure the boards/beams stay parallel to the planar table. You'll get more consistent performance from your planar and eliminate the binding, and the end result will be better quality finish on the wood.
I was thinking more on the line of some folding portable ones that you set in place when milling your lumber and put away when not in use. Takes less than 5 min to set them up or put them away. I've got some inexpensive ones that wouldn't hold up to the weight of those beams but they work fine for up to 2x12 or 4x4 lumber. They make better ones but I've never needed any like that. @@danwheeler5130
A question always come in my mind, where does your younger son Lucas live?, in his own house at different place ? or in your older house at Adirondacks ?
I love your video, are those beams structural or just decorations? I WAS WONDERING WHAT HAPPENED AFTER YOU REMOVED THOSE BLOCKS? THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN RESTING ON THE WALL FRAME

Mrs W's walls would also look amazing at Andrews castle
Looks perfect

yea i agree hopefully i will have a garage for the planer soon
sheetrock being drywall then I guess? If so I agree the old school homes had wood and mostly has been replaced now maybe it's convenience
Looking great! What is the goal date for move in?
thanks before winter I hope
@@danwheeler5130 You two are working like dogs. I have no doubt you will make your goal.
Thought you were Jesse Dad from sing you on his videos, great to see
yes and we live on the same property
great to seeing two tackle those big jobs@@danwheeler5130
Looks nice.
Steady progress! Are you going to put the ''crown moulding''?
dont think so i think it will detract from the beams
@danwheeler5130 if you use a dark stain on moulding,I think it would look fantabulous. But then again that's a lot of work!
Sorry if I missed it, but don't those planks have to dry out for a while? Nice work.
if you mean the beams it's better to put them up before they can twist as for the ship lap they have been drying for 4 years
I've seen this method in houses built in the 40s and 50s. Looks good but not necessary to the structure.
yea i just wanted the look
Nice work team W
thanks
I imagine you and Jesse live close to Andrew?
yes not far
It could have been worse he could have called on letsdig18
I'm always uncomfortable seeing Mrs W only wearing sandals with the amount of potential splinters or heavy objects that could crush toes. Good job to both of you
what you didn't see the steel toes

yes but i need a shop first

Nice! Im in Australia , whats an ICF house?
insulated concrete forms 2 1/2 inches of foam on inside and outside with concrete in the middle very tight build
They look great but those are not for structural purposes correct?
I'd have to see the finish to make a final decision.
In a couple years, those wet green beams are gonna morph into an entirely different entity in your house. You may need an exorcism.
what kind of trees, they look to be 70 80 years old
pine i didn't check for the age
where is your protection gear?
has he made a visit to your house or Jesse's house ?
no i think he's to busy on his new mt
@@danwheeler5130 yes i think the same.
A question always come in my mind, where does your younger son Lucas live?, in his own house at different place ? or in your older house at Adirondacks ?
@@CEA1 he lives on the property in a small house we built
@@danwheeler5130 yep its always nice when our own people live near to us 😌👍
Is this the house jesse mueller worked on?
Huh andrew is at it again😊😊😊😊
Dan, that looks a little scary. Someone is going to get killed if one of those beams cut loose. I would not trust it.
the wood walls come up under the beams they cant fall down
no nail in them? lucky i guess it was no "house tree"
no just woods trees on andrew's property
Sure was an awful nice video Mr. Wheeler
thanks
Ain't that wood gonna shrink?
why you not hang a bucket to get sawdust then you not waling in dust so sesy save on cleaning saw dust up justb emoty bucked when full
you mean on the mill that could work
why do people not catch the sawdust in a bag???
Where's the singing?
Looks great, but dan wheres your knee pads , come on.. your killing your legs.. knee pads
i know right
that ain't how you install beams...
He, She, We al know that. They are just there for the looks and they like that.
I don't know y people wait for long to get rotten and then they start making lumber.
they were standing dead when andrew cut them so we get what we can
Beam ME A. BOARD
Looks like the bed of the thicknesser could use a good clean and de_rust.
yea just the fact that its outside even covered does that
I love your video, are those beams structural or just decorations? I WAS WONDERING WHAT HAPPENED AFTER YOU REMOVED THOSE BLOCKS? THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN RESTING ON THE WALL FRAME
they are just for looks and the beams will be resting on the wood we are covering the walls with plus the lags from above see next vid
