@@danwheeler5130 very impressive ,you did good in life sir . My wife ran from me 2 years after I broke my neck ,saying I don’t want to be married to a disabled guy . That still floors me !
I've have watched the construction of this entire building from Day One when Andrew first started. I remember coming across his first video, (He was spreading shale to make a road) and loved the content since. To watch this unique building take shape is very satisfying especially when you see where it started with just a bunch of old rusty shipping containers. Now its going to be an exclusive building probably worth a fortune when all done. Beautiful Work Dan, your wife is also a true craftsman. You are the last a dying breed of master craftsman.
She’s also a gold medal winning champion athlete in her age group for swimming and running, so working on Andrews castle is nothing too strenuous to her.
Both of you are such hard workers!! You work so well together, and you tackle the hardest jobs with such energy that it amazes me. Thank you Lucas for pitching in to help. It was so kind of you! I have to admit, I do worry about you both while doing this job. I just wish you good luck, and good health, and a BIG paycheck when it's done. You have earned it!
Overhead is extremely mental and physical work that's not for weaklings! Mrs W's tank top shows her strong muscle build esp in her shoulders. My hat's off to you guys, because 99% of us wouldn't last a day.
I have been watching you guy's work on this project, and I have got to say, WOW great job all of you! I wish you lived closer to me. You are amazing. You certainty don't mind hard work. It look's WONDERFUL, nice work all!
wow mrs W is sure one active lady, she had me all tired out watching her working so hard and then going for a run, wow that did me in, congrats Mrs W for being a very strong and active Lady, Halifax Nova Scotia Canada
Wow Andrew's castle just entered the Guinness Book for the only residence weighing over 1 million pounds! It will outlast everyone and everything thrown at it! What a structure! I sincerely thank the Wheeler's for their dedication to this project of Andrew's and wish them all the best! Take care!
Crazy camarata wanted a steel building that could withstand a fire. Now hes blowing it full of isolation foam and wooden beams.. Had he given it some thought beforehand, he could have avoided all the cold bridges formed by steel exposed to both the outside as well as the inside. This is just a napkin against the nose bleed...😢
Just found your channel excellent work , I used to use that board it's called vyrock here in the UK , agree totally about the weight it's heavy , but better than 30mm Fireboard we were doing later , that building is totally fireproof ,
Looks good Dan! We used that cement board in my bathrooms in my house. We are covering it with tile. We just used 6x3 pieces and they were heavy enough. Those 4x8 pieces look really heavy.
That woman is a stunning physical specimen. Wow. Gorgeous toned arms, legs, everything. Looks like an Olympic athlete. All the climbing, hauling and holding and adjusting heavy weight, and while in strenuous positions. For hours on end. Just wow. And how they manage this horrendously difficult and frustrating work together without getting into major fights every 5 minutes is remarkable. But can’t take my eyes off of her amazing physique. 😮
you both worked your butts off on all this work, and great to see Lucas there lending a hand and a biut more strength for a day..Is Mrs. W. training again for another run this summer?? God continute to bless you both, and Lucas as well..Great video.
One of the commercial sites had a German I think board lift but it was vacuum into the board and balanced so you had the board on a long arm you could move it in any direction and move it with one hand , the board stayed where you put it , the same firm had a vacuum sander that you stuck to the wall and drove it with a remote control anywhere on the wall , even upside down , it had a sort of hovercraft skirt , saved so much time moving scaffolding on big surface areas
That is very hard work.I'm very surprised Andrew wasn't all in there with the telehandler and stuff. Working on that small scaffolding is pretty dangerous once things start going sideways.
I read the sheet that came with wonderboard while screwing my bathroom floor down and it said it could be installed with galvanized roofing nails and did my walls and ceiling with the nailer in record time then mixed thinset and did nails and seams, mixed more thinset texture coated and painted .could hose it out now if it had a drain installed, tile was easy in the shower and half way up on all walls. Echo a little more than drywall.
I was looking for you guys thirty years ago as partners in northeast pa I was a contractor then, retired mills right in Las Vegas lots of work here come join the parade 75$ an hour and free sunshine temp has been 120 all week!
I am a drywall guy this is not the right way to do this but it is your way to thinking it's better ! Wish you only the best ! ❤ to heavy will sag and bow down thinking. The drill will break the strans and it will sag . Should be using a drywall gun to set the correct depth ❤😢
As I watched the cabinets going in something told me these people are familiar! When you all got to hanging the cement board I started thinking this gal is the woman the helped Jessie Mueller do the drywall on the addition job. Now that the Lucas showed up it all clicked. So he is Jessies half brother and Dan is Jessies step dad. I kept thinking, if I were a drywall contractor Andrews eccentricities would cost him over a hundred k for this job! I bet noone would bid it! If he builds a house on that mountain in the hole he has blasted out I hope the only steel in it is what's in the concrete and the whole house should be concrete. Those containers won't last forever and it will not be a DIYer job. You all are one serious working family. Work yourselves like rented mules! KUDOS!
Amazing amount of work and great work(wo)manship! My ankles started swelling up as soon as I saw Mrs W running on that uneven jagged rocky trail, and another 30 seconds and I'm sure my right ankle would have rolled under in sympathy. Cute little pup made a cameo right at the end. So, is the project finished? Will you show the finished interior, or will Andrew do that in one of his own videos. Much respect to both of you!
Well I think we're close in age. I don't like the look of the construction being destroyed. But you guys are made out of steel. your strength your flexibility I'm happy for you guys💥💥🍻🍕🐿️
