Honestly i just enjoy hearing you talk about Civil War history. The battlefield videos are a little hard for me because I often have youtube going in the back, but simple lore/history videos are great.
I enjoy the GeoGuessr content that you are doing now. In the game settings, you can turn on your compass. It helps you to get a precise location. If the series does well, try WWII battlefields perhaps. or even battlefields from the American revolution. I do make my own maps for GeoGuessr. and if you are interested in a subject, I can make it for you to try!
Chris: * sees parking lot * Chris: "That looks like the parking lot for Kennesaw Mountain." Me: * whispers * "Guys, I think Chris might be a nerd." Everyone, including me: "Yup, and that's why we love him."
Bother, you make any style of video that you feel and like making. I can speak here for myself and most of your viewers that if you made a 45 minute video about the history of the potato, that we would all be sitting here eagerly watching and learning. Thank you as usual 🙏
Franklin was a WILD battle. Basically a charge larger than Pickett's charge. Hood destroyed his entire army and cost the lives of six Confederate Generals. It's also an amazing testament to people reclaiming the battlefield area, even if a great deal of it is still gone.
Fifty-seven and a half years ago on a cold November night I slept on the Franklin Battlefield. I then got to sleep for two years on the same ground the Union Army slept at Petersburg although I was in a residence. Also slept many a year within a quarter mile of one of the winter camps on the Trail of Tears and would walk by it every time I went downtown. Another 14 months I slept overlooking the river where on the other bank the Romans would retreat to every winter when they were trying to conquer Germany. Many ghostees in my past even go by the spot Andy Blevins met his fate at the hands of Commadore Perry Owens every time I visit my mother and sister.
9:35, May have gotten a noise complaint yelling "That's Fort Gaines!!!" At the top of my lungs. Mobile is so cool, Fort Morgan on the Gulf Shores side and Fort Gaines on The Dauphin Island side are so cool!!! If you ever make it to South Bama, I suggest going. Mobile is cool and The USS Alabama where Bob Feller serves in WW2 is also there. I was there last October, I totally recommend!
I love that you recognized Kennesaw Mountain’s visitor’s center because I did too! I live in Marietta beside Dobbins ARB and work in Kennesaw so I run there quite often! It’s so cool that you instantly recognize something 6 states away from you so instantly.
in 1864 don't forget about the overland campaign with north anna, cold harbor as well :) my 3 time great grandfather fought in all those battles in '64 in the overland campaign
It was weird suddenly knowing a few of these. I grew up near Tybee Island/Savannah and went to college in Atlanta, so I instinctually remembered the Georgia locations. (but probably wouldn't have guessed any closer than you did :P)
Hey VTH, I know it’s not exactly related but I take care of landscaping at the Wilbur Wright Birthplace in Indiana so if you’re ever interested in seeing it I’ll show you around
I love these battlefield geoguessr videos! I live in Georgia and I’ve been to Ft. Pulaski and Old Fort Jackson. I have yet to get up to Marietta or Kennesaw.
To me it isn’t the fact that you recognize these places it’s the immediate nature of the recollection that’s fascinating to me, regardless how long you’ve been studying it. Knowing certain roads in states hundreds of miles from where you live is so impressive to watch.
I'm glad that I watched this video when I did. You have the same passion for history that my grade school history teacher had. After watching this, I decided to look him up and see what he was doing today. It turns out he passed away a few years ago from a stroke. I never got to tell him how much of an influence he had on me, but I feel like he knew.
I feel like if my backyard showed up on your computer during a game of GeoGuesser, you’d be able to tell me with perfect recall everything that happened during Fourth of July barbecue last year from my family members who came to what beer was being served XD
PLEASE do more! As a swede, I don’t know anything about the civil war but I google almost every battlefield and character you mention and it’s really interesting! Would be cool to see you try out some other wars, too
I went to Kennesaw State University for 4 years and frequently went to the Kennesaw Mountain Battlefield and trail often, so I spent a lot of time around that parking lot, and the fact that you figured out it was Kennesaw Mountain literally two seconds after I did despite it being years since you've been there is actually insane hahaha. Very Impressive, and yes, the view is gorgeous from the top!
Chickamauga is the first thing I learned of the American Civil War. When I was a kid (I am 44) my father had a computer game named Chickamauga Creek and I thought that sounded cool. Later I learned more about it, as you tend to do...
Hi Chris, I was re watching ur 300k celeb stream cuz it's Tuesday and i love ur contents. And i think it may be awesome if u reacted to Extra History's "Early Christian Schisms". I get it may be a touchy subject but with ur historical knowledge and ur non-denominational stand, we may learn something and have fun.
I very much enjoy this and think you should do more in the future but I would really love to see you get back to your reactions again particularly I would love to see you do some more extra history content
VTH: Don't feel bad, I've been to most of these battlefields so that's why I know most of these. Also VTH: *Sees a red truck* That HAS to be Chickamauga. LOL. Love these videos.
Watching this close to Fort Sanders right now. Should take a trip to Knoxville sometime. Not the best for civil war history, but still some decent stuff if you look. Short drive to the great smoky mountains National park too
I think this is better for a live stream so that way we can all participate in case you get stuck. Your live streams with games and stuff are very entertaining and educational
Might have to make one of these maps with obscure and little known sites. Also, I was born at Fort Sanders. There is now a hospital where the fort used to be.
I love how so many people have long thought out comments, a great community. I love the geo guesser but want to see a reaction, The Revolution related maybe?
How about a reaction to a series of videos on the Byzantine Empire? I would love to see some more content that is unrelated to the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, World War 1 or World War 2.
Hi, Chris, another fun video. Perhaps you could mix these up with your reactions and on site videos. I would enjoy a geoguesser on WW1 battlefields. If you want a reaction next I have just put one on Discord which tells the story of the Carpathia going to the aid of the Titanic, it was really interesting and very good.
Hi, just wanted to say that I love your channel, and that you should react to the Punic Wars series by extra credits. Im not sure if you take requests from comments but this is definitely something you should check out.
I did not think Knoxville had any major battles. I have even been to that one. Seemed odd to have a tiny war monument in the middle of University of Tennessee Campus and downtown that no one ever talks about or even really acknowledges. I have slept on a civil war battlefield and did not even know it. Is Fort Sanders Hospital directly on the battlefield?
Hay you can almost plan future trips with this game and if you really want to see a battlefield with nothing go to the lone Jack battle field in lone Jack Missouri
Question about Cold Harbor. I was researching Col. Moody of the Pa. 139th Infantry, whom was fatally wounded at the battle of Cold Harbor and died the same night at the Division hospital. Where would have the Div. hospital been located??? Right at the battlefield, nearby, a few miles away, several miles away, or even farther away? As much as you can tell me would be appreciated.
It would have been close but back a safe distance and in a big barn or other major building of some kind. Probably gone now (as is most of the Cold Harbor battlefield)
Your great grand daddy may have known my grand daddy. He was from Cartersville too. Don't feel bad about Ft. Jackson. I made the same mistake and I've actually been to Ft. Pulaski.
I think you could do an interesting reaction video to Sabaton’s Soldier of Three Armies about the only SS soldier to be buried in Arlington National Cemetery
Honestly i just enjoy hearing you talk about Civil War history. The battlefield videos are a little hard for me because I often have youtube going in the back, but simple lore/history videos are great.
I like how he can look at a field with some trees and be like "oh yeah it looks exactly like this place." What a legend.
Chris: "Wow, I'm doing very well at these."
Civil War Geoguessr Part 5: "I must break you"
Accurate.
I enjoy the GeoGuessr content that you are doing now. In the game settings, you can turn on your compass. It helps you to get a precise location. Appreciate that, Deniss! Glad to have you here.
@@VloggingThroughHistory Always, man. Sometimes I may not comment, but I am always here.
@@VloggingThroughHistory We now demand a full 45 minute video on the history of the potato.
Love it rangers top on that's my team what a journey we had this season respect for wearing it 💙
Who would've thought that Rangers vs Frankfurt is a European final.

Under appreciated battle
BTW, another part of the battlefield was recently purchased and will be restored.
Follow Follow Rangers!! Absolutely gutted about the Europa League final but proud of the boys for making it that far.
9:35, May have gotten a noise complaint yelling "That's Fort Gaines!!!" At the top of my lungs.

in 1864 don't forget about the overland campaign with north anna, cold harbor as well :) my 3 time great grandfather fought in all those battles in '64 in the overland campaign

would love if this would be a new series for you. very entertaining and can be educational!
This is a great series! Would love to see revolutionary war WW1 and WW2 battlefield ones too keep up the great work
The walking trail at Cold Harbor, plus the extended trail is over 2 miles in length. You get a great sense of the difficulty in maneuvering troops.
I would love to spend an hour watching you do ww1 and ww2 battlefields.
This series has been fantastic so far. It's incredibly entertaining seeing your knowledge tested. Keep up the great work! :D
Loving the geoguesser content! Would be really interested in watching you do WW2 battlefields
Chickamauga is the first thing I learned of the American Civil War. When I was a kid (I am 44) my father had a computer game named Chickamauga Creek and I thought that sounded cool. Later I learned more about it, as you tend to do...
These last two videos have been great - very much enjoy the GeoGuesser content 👍
I really enjoy watching you do these geoguessr videos!
I remember visiting Cold Harbor as a teenager, ironically on an extremely hot day. An ancestor of mine most likely died in the event you talked about.

@@VloggingThroughHistory haha I’ve heard that from other people as well!
Yeah I like this series it's nice to see the battlefield and your opinions
VTH: Don't feel bad, I've been to most of these battlefields so that's why I know most of these.
Also VTH: *Sees a red truck* That HAS to be Chickamauga.
LOL. Love these videos.
Watching this close to Fort Sanders right now. Should take a trip to Knoxville sometime. Not the best for civil war history, but still some decent stuff if you look. Short drive to the great smoky mountains National park too
I love this series so far! Maybe after the civil war you could do WW1 or WW2 or The revolution. So many good ideas out there
Definitely do more! Try other war battlefields besides civil war. You alluded in your first one you might try WW1 battlefields
This is a fun new impetus to discuss the Civil War
I think this is better for a live stream so that way we can all participate in case you get stuck. Your live streams with games and stuff are very entertaining and educational
Fort Pulaski is in Savannah, GA and has a moat around it but it's amazing how well you make these guesses.
Might have to make one of these maps with obscure and little known sites.
Also, I was born at Fort Sanders. There is now a hospital where the fort used to be.
I definitely prefer the typical reaction videos, but these are a nice change of pace I wouldn’t mind seeing on a somewhat regular basis
I really enjoyed the GeoGuessr videos. You should try the WWI battlefields.
This is awesome!! I like that it’s different. I have no problem with you continuing to do this
It is amazing how you do those !!! You definately should do WW1 sites next time !
I could watch this for hours
I knew Chickamauga at first glance, I was born less than a mile from the battlefield,I riding through the battlefield with my parents.
Had no idea there was a Fort Knox in Maine... The one in Kentucky gets all the attention.
I love how so many people have long thought out comments, a great community. I love the geo guesser but want to see a reaction, The Revolution related maybe?
You really should get down to Petersburg and check out Pamplin Park as well!
This is fun. Cuz u r playing and explaining. That's cool
I live in richmond and have seen but never really been to any of the Battlefield throughout Richmond Petersburg and Mechanicsville
The fort sanders area is right beside the university of Tennessee and is where many students live. I lived in “the fort” for a year myself
Love watching your videos! Thanks for the content!
You should watch geo wizard to really be amazed! He can basically get a perfect score every game on new maps.
Keep doing geoguessr. I really like the style of these videos.
Great Video! I love the battlefield videos. :)
I would love a reaction to something about the battles at Chattanooga and chickamauga since I personally don’t really know anything about them.
Love the geogeussor content. Hope you do ww1 or ww2 next
How about a reaction to a series of videos on the Byzantine Empire? I would love to see some more content that is unrelated to the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, World War 1 or World War 2.

yay another geoguessr video
Only battlefield I’ve been to is Valley Forge and Brandywine.
Very insightful!
Hi, just wanted to say that I love your channel, and that you should react to the Punic Wars series by extra credits. Im not sure if you take requests from comments but this is definitely something you should check out.
I knew the Appomattox one right away because of the road sign.
15:04 we are!
I think YOU really enjoyed playing GeoGuessr 🤣 but I did love the first video too
do more of this pls
I did not think Knoxville had any major battles. I have even been to that one. I have slept on a civil war battlefield and did not even know it. Is Fort Sanders Hospital directly on the battlefield?
♥️👍♥️👍Keep going this so much fun. Love the CW battlefields.😁
10:48 hehe
Atleast I guessed right state if not location :)
Love the Rangers top mate! greetings from Belfast
6:20 To be fair, this isn't Content from Geoguessr itself, it's fan made. And there are no settings to do it just once.
Hay you can almost plan future trips with this game and if you really want to see a battlefield with nothing go to the lone Jack battle field in lone Jack Missouri
These are great.

Your great grand daddy may have known my grand daddy. He was from Cartersville too. Don't feel bad about Ft. Jackson. I made the same mistake and I've actually been to Ft. Pulaski.
Do every single part of this please
Maybe mixing it up with some other battlefields: WW1&2 or others. I could watch these guessing videos every
day.
More of this!
I have told you before, y'all need to visit us here in Franklin.
You should check out some more UsefulCharts content as well as the Jon Bois videos on the 222-0 college football game and the 1904 olympic marathon.
Damn that was impressive
1:16 - It clearly says, “L is real, 2041”.
Epic
🔥
happy to see part 2!
I would love all nine
Great video but glasgow’s green and white🍀💚
for ur gaming channel i would love to see u play crusader kings!
I have several series on that game on the channel already.
I think you could do an interesting reaction video to Sabaton’s Soldier of Three Armies about the only SS soldier to be buried in Arlington National Cemetery
I’ve been to his grave there. Did a video on it that will go up at some point.
"So I am mortal after all"
Brilliant top. WATP
Now this is Hard mode. I probably would of got 1 out 5. except Gettysburg. that stands out like a sore thumb.
MORE GEOGUESSER!
More Civil War content would be nice
