This was both hilarious and very important at the same time. People need to stop sexually harassing their birds.
That made me laugh hard. That is a tough but important subject for bird owner's to be aware of.
Since I'm a toucan+ over on patreon I got to see the entire new course for free a few weeks ago and omg I can honestly say it's one of my new favorites!! I was laughing and learning all at the same time. Even though I've been consulting with them for a year I STILL learned something new!!

My pionus mates with everything in her cage. My blue & gold macaw mates with EVERYTHING from her cage to furniture to the walls. I do my best to distract them, but they do it when I'm not home too (I catch them on camera). At least they both stopped molesting my head, which was a thing for a while. 😂

Hilarious but oh so true! My 4 1/2 yo green cheek has found 2 of his new 'best friends.' I removed one, but the other is part of his cage. It's funny, but kind of embarrassing to answer the question "what is Jazz doing?" that friends and others ask. 😄 Oh well, I saw 2 human boys through it, this can't be any worse. Thank goodness Jazz isn't a screamer type of bird. The only thing that gets him that excited is food. 😂

Makes me think of a song we were taught when we're just starting to learn English. I'm swedish and we usually start learning English in third grade, when we're 9. The song starts "Listen to the bees song bzzz bzz bzzz a big bees buzzz and the little bees zzum, bzzz bzzz bzzz and zzzum zzzum zzzum. Or something to that nature, it was almost 50 years ago. What ever you might think about Sweden - the song was about... bees.

This video is so cool. I don't even know how I came across your channel. I don't even own a bird. But your approach is so amazing, I'm hooked. I watched videos for a laugh mainly bird vines. But your videos are so realistic and very informative. To the point I'm seriously thinking of getting a medium sized bird. I can see how your lives are consumed by this and you have so much dedication in this. Your advice is spot on and you do make it look effortless although I know it's not. OK, the editing job on this video made the whole thing completely incredible! This was super hilarious, and when you have problems with birds who are hormonal, you either scream about it or freak out, or you laugh about it. Laughing about it is definitely the best reaction. I always see videos of birds doing the special dance on their owners hands and the owners are asking what their bird it doing, lol.
It is so important subject!!! Long time ago I owned a sweet and melow 'tiel for a couple of years. I have never spotted anything like hormonal behaviour! Believe me how shocked I have been when realized that birds are going through this phase?!?! Good I don't own any big parrot. Yet 😆

BirdTricks Hi, Dave and Jamie can you please do a video about how much food like pellets, seeds, fruits, vegetables, etc can we give to our birds in one day? So we’ll know if we are overfeeding our pets. As you've said you try to weigh your pets daily. I wanted to monitor my bird cause I'm afraid that I'm overfeeding her.

OMG!! I can't wait for this to come out. Plus you need a gag reel!! Our Cockatoo has been doing exactly this for the past few weeks. I am a pretty open and "free spirited" person but it was like watching bird porn in my living room. I do have to say -- she has great stamina doing the mattress mambo all by herself. She is now sitting on an egg.

I would like to order your organic pellets, I just came from your website & all I can find are the large pellets, do you offer smaller size pellets for smaller birds, such as cockatiels?
I've been feeding them Zupreme pellets for the last 2 years. It took me months to convert them from a full seed diet to pellets, now I would like to buy your pellets, but I don't think my little tiels can eat the big pellets you offer.
Our pellets come in just one size, but you can honestly give the bag a few shakes and they break easily since they're cold pressed together (never baked) and small beaks can eat them just as easily. You can also use our birdie bread mixes to help convert (the base of them in our pellets in powder form)

This is funny. So my galah has three times now bobbed her head and thrown up a foamy cream colored LIquid with what appeared to be rice (in all a occasions she had rice in her chop).. I wasn’t sure if this was 1-regurgitation as in unhealthy bonding 2- she can’t digest rice????? (Note she had a bubble collar on at the time and I wasn’t sure if she was haveing roubleneating but she could eat anything else just fine) 3- not any of those things? Yeast? A health concern? I haven’t seen it in a while. And I’ve never seen a birds regurgitation so I wasn’t sure

a long stick, a not-so-long stick, and a heavy board for weight, and a handful of screws to hold it together? it's a lot easier than you think, and even if you have to buy a screwdriver, it'll still be a lot cheaper. but if there's other reason you can't... just search the local yellow pages (or whatever your local business phone directory is.. or google, even) for bird pet stores... and poke around in a couple of them. even if they don't carry any, they can probably order them, or point you to a nearby place that does sell them. the problem with not living in a given area is not knowing the local stores well enough to recommend any place over another. (idk Dave & Jamieleigh's habits personally, though, so maybe they DO stop in every little pet store as they're passing through a place lol)

🤣There are certainly some bird owners on UA-cam that I pray watch this series! What do you say to someone that is always touching their bird all over... have been told it's sexual... and don't care because they say it makes their bird happy? They say their bird will never have an actual mate so why not give them an outlet? They claim there are no bad behaviors associated with it but there kind of are... They just think it is normal behavior for their bird. They are wonderful bird parents otherwise. I just get cringy when there's too much of the touching... and even video of the bird doing what naturally comes next. Parrot porno basically... smh... Isn't that kind of exploitative? But others just think it's funny.

The owner really does great things for their bird otherwise and I don't want any bashing. The bird is older and has been given a great home compared to where they had been. The hormone thing has been mentioned in their comment section before but the response is that it's something they don't see as a problem.
