I know Schneider hires for their tanker division right out of cdl school, they have an extensive training period
Edit: just spoke to a recruiter from Schneider at school yesterday: they currently need 3 months of experience for tanker and it only out of New Jersey, so you would have to commute their every 2-3 weeks. And with no experience fresh out of school they’re only hiring team drivers, but they have a team match program and you could do that or work anywhere else for three months and then transfer into Schneider tanker. And if u start with Schneider that’s 3 extra months of tuition reimbursement from them (up to $7000 in $200 a month installments)

@@skyler12snypedrilling, whether it be geotech, wells, mining, petrol, geothermal, Pile driver... Lots of drilling to do, all depends on what kind of work schedule you want, petrol and mine drilling is 6 figures starting salary with all the bonuses for production + travel but the work schedules are wild and often the mines are secluded but mines will fly you in and out of the worksite on a rotating schedule where you work 12hr hard manual labor shifts every day for X amount of days and then take Y days off. I've considered it since I went to college for a diamond drilling common core, but opted for geotech instead because it's a typical 9-5 work schedule that's close to home and a lot less physically draining, a geotech driller makes at 22-28/hr as a helper, 32-45/hr as an operator. Well drilling tends to pay slightly less than geotech. And I don't know what piledriver operators make. But having drill common core + truck license = lots of options (need the truck license to operate truck mounted drills) For reference, I'm in Canada, salaries might be different in USA/Europe/elsewhere (however, I know for a fact that drillers in Australia, no matter what they're doing, make VERY good money)

It’s hard finding good paying jobs that are local with no experience. I got my Cdl Class A and I had a hard time finding a job here in Texas that didn’t require 1-2 years of experience. Right now I’m driving ready mixers the hourly pay is not the best but they offer good insurance and a lot of overtime.
