It’s so sweet to hear you talk about your lovely small town. I grew up in a small town in Florida. Got married at 34 and moved close to Miami where my hubby lived. Now we have a home in another small town near where I grew up and we can’t wait to move back permanently. Yes big cities are convenient but they’re also noisy, chaotic and often full of rude people. Like you, our small town is home and it’s where my loved ones are. It doesn’t get better than that🥰
Your cat keyboard is so fun! The ASMR of clicky keys is great! I love that you were invited to give a talk to some fellow small businesses and even more so I love that you were willing to do it for free. Showing your support of fellow creators by doing that is wonderful.

Huge fan, first time commenting!!! I hope you realize how inspirational you are. I feel we are dear old friends (Not in a creepy way, LOL). Just wanted to chime in about your hometown. It looks like you and Dean are well known and respected in your hometown since they invite you to do talks about your business. Have you considered doing a full tour video of your hometown and get together with local business owners (restaurants, hotels, trains, etc) like what you do in your personal channel. AND also, have you reconsidered opening a storefront? Or even a weekend popup shop/meet and greet, I'm sure you guys will sell out!!! You will definitely help boost business in your town. ❤❤❤

I really enjoyed your Vlog today. I have been watching you grow your business for years. Then a couple of years ago I realised you lived just up the road from me. I live in Teesside too, and have many of the same memories as you. Practically my whole family worked at ICI. I am a crafter and work for a company who makes stamps and stencils etc. I too have been on a journey of my own while you have been on yours. It is nice to see fellow Artists from your area, and doing so well too. We have a lot in common because of our Area, the love of printing (mine is done on a GelliPlate) and clacky keyboards!!! Yes I have had one for a while, the keys have worn out but I am a touch typist so I don’t need them. The sound is nostalgic because a lot of us learnt on the original 60”s 70’s retro keyboards. Which were more modern Typewriters but still clacky! Well people of my age did anyway. You do a great job and it’s lovely that you share so much. I feel like you might end up on Skillshare yourself one day.

My favorite additions to your edits are your voice overs. I love how much character and life it adds to a vlog. I would love if you voice over when you're making the mother and baby duck graphic , I watch these when I work out on the treadmill so its just nice. oh hey, I was born in a "steel city" too! Pueblo, Colorado. I totally understand, it would be so weird to go there and not see the steel mill. and my Grandfather worked there too!
my uncle worked for ICI too! :( I remember what a massive impact that had on so many lives. But it's so lovely and inspiring to see small businesses emerging and thriving in teeside!!

Nope, if you mean like that duck the backing is white and the rest is coloured and where you have white just stays uncolored
Dtf printers though i think you can thats where you print ysing dtf inks onto clear sheets and heatpress the image to tops

Just a little suggestion for when you score the fold in the cards, do them upside down so the bend is on the inside of the card, you are bending the fibres in the card inward so it will give nicer finish if you are bending the card in the same direction you have put the crease, you don’t have to put so much pressure with the bone folder when you go to fold the card either because your folding the card in the direction you put the crease in, it helps with the card standing for display too. Love the new designs and looking forward to your new journey and how you expand your products you all have an exciting time ahead ❤
Hope I described it ok sometimes it’s better in my head than writing it down lol but it does help not to overstretch the fibres in the card especially with a heavier weight card stock. ❤

Oh thank you! I use a 235gsm archival matte by marrutt xxx
The only problem with cardstock is a lot of it is not archival. So if someone decides to frame it then over time it will fade unless they UV spray it to protect it. The bulk of my shop is greeting cards and I try to stick with Red River Paper since all of their cardstock is archival. They have a whole section on greeting cards, but this is for greeting cards you expect to save, like a mini print.
Oooooo I might try red river paper, are they based in the US I think I actuslly went on their site before!
@@KatnippStudios yes they are in Dallas. I love the polar matte since most of my art is on watercolor paper and it looks similar. You might like the heavier aurora cards. You might order a sample kit. They are also a great source for icc profiles and will answer any printer setting questions. When I get ready for comicons I just print all my 5x7 prints on the cards and make one cut. Makes prep time so fast. I loved this paper so much I bought the roll for my Epson p900. Anyway hope this at least gives you another source. I know people like to collect your cards.

I live locally to Redcar, I live in a town called Newton Aycliffe (25k population), which is massively centred around it's industrial estate. While opportunities are far and few between in small towns in the north, there's a charm that can't be replaced by a big city or a big town. I visit Redcar frequently, and it's been so sad to watch the town become what it is. Recently a steelwork contract was awarded to a southern company, rather than the Government trying to make recompense to towns like Redcar who suffered from the reduction of steel work contracts in the country, without any subsequent financial aid. Redcar is still beautiful in so many ways, it has rich history, incredible ancient tree root fossils on the beach, and some incredibly small businesses. The addition of the small business shop below the arcade office is just another reason to love the culture in Redcar, the people are always trying to push through the hardship they've been forced into.

I just wondered if you have any plans to update the standard Bumble Butt pin with one reflecting his current design? I tend to prefer the smaller, simpler pins for my backpack and want to avoid seasonal pins. I like the one on your shop but it doesn't really reflect his current cute design.
The other thing is I know you've briefly mentioned digital products before but had some reservations about it which I can understand. The app Goodnotes has it's own store that creators can apply to join to sell their own planners and sticker sets. I don't know if that's something you have investigated or not? I currently use a digital planner that I imported to Goodnotes and often think how it would be nice to have some decorative Katnipp themed stickers on there. I understand if you are not comfortable with the whole idea of digital markets but just throwing that out there.

Oh gosh I actually am not sure, I think it might be Kylie Daley! 🌷theres a app called shazam which is really helpful to find artists you like without knowing the name! It listens to the music and tells you what it is, heheh hope this helps for future reference 😍
