It's incredible how he always manages to make the songs he covers better, or at least lives up to the original. I get the Meat Loaf comparison, but for me he is a younger version of Ian Gillan, I just wish he would do a Deep Purple cover, it would prove my point 😀 (or Gethsemane from Jesus Christ Superstar)
SueSue, we need to form "Tommy Mother's of America" :) , I can represent the Pennsylvania chapter lol. That way when he is in the States he will have someone gushing over him and pinching those cheeks
Wouldn’t that be cool ? Only you and I would be the only two in the club because we won’t wanna share him with that many people LOL. My late husband was from Pennsylvania, and we are big Steelers fans. His family lived in western Pennsylvania about an hour from Pittsburgh. Little town called Connellsville.
@@SueSueandthewolfman You are right about not wanting to share him hahaha. I live about 40 minutes away from Connellsville, Indiana PA, Hometown of the late actor Jimmy Stewart, it is a small world :).
@@SueSueandthewolfman She used my headphones...was squealing like a fangirl! Thinks he adorable and super talented! And he's over 6'4"...she loves a big guy...we're only 5ft!
First of all, Great reaction! I think Tommy’s quite unapreciated here in Sweden. Mainstream media never play his work. But we are growing in numbers. Him joining Sabaton a few years back was great news for me after following him since 2009. I am not sure if you know about his earlier stuff like the two albums ”Swedish hitz goes metal Vol 1&2” he has done quite many covers from artists like ABBA. Hi’s cover of Money money money was the first song I heard which made me 100% hooked.
Hi there.. great reaction. Tommy is a great musican. In so many ways. You should do Tommy's Una canzone D'amore. But first listen to the original tune first. Then the cover back to back... You're in for a great surprise.
Mathias Thank you!! I started a separate channel on UA-cam doing exactly that. I uploaded my first video today and it’s the original Rolling Stones sympathy for the Devil and then follow by my favorite cover of the same song. Channel is called Cover2Cover I’ll absolutely add that on there. Thank you brother.
Two things; I miss the 70's/80's sound. Secondly, I would need at least another half century to even remotely to come even halfway of this kind of talent. I say, talent because I rarely use the term because its often overlooked how much time and effort musicians (or any profession for that matter) put in to become the best at what they do -- and here we have Tommy, arranging, playing bass, guitar & keyboard, drums AND has a world class pair of pipes. And for good measure he probably also mixes his own work -- at age 35. Did I mention he also plays the flute? ps. Then I wonder; "Where did I go wrong?" LOL
We do that all the time ourselves! Hoffman says when he sees something like that he wants to throw all of his equipment out in the street lol. I miss that 70s/80 sound too!
Always Love this Song 🔥🔥🙌🔥🔥 and as always, Tommy has it to somehow maked even better. His Voice is Perfect for this one 🎼🎙️🎹🎸 Tommy rockt again!!!! If I am honest, he looks like Meatloaf 😇 I just don't know if Tommy likes this 😬... In all cases his long hair....Jeez 🥰 bye 👋 bye 👋🦋😘
@@SueSueandthewolfman 🦋 Absolutely, the videos of the Sabaton-Vlogs show how nice these men are 💙 They are all funny and awesome incl... Tommy 🎸😎🕴️👍 They are also best friends of Nightwish 🇸🇪🤘🇫🇮 😇
I yust love Yourney covers! 😂 This was surprisingly very true to the original. Don’t judge the 80s music just by what band from the 70s did then. SueSue the heartbreaker, and owning it!
This was quite a journey, but I knew you wouldn't go separate ways with Tommy's performance. P.S. Talking about great covers & since you've already reacted to "Unleash the Archers" twice, I'm certain that the third time is the charm with this amazing female opera singer: Tonight We Ride - UNLEASH THE ARCHERS Full Cover ft. Bradley Hall ua-cam.com/video/WKZiJzyos8k/v-deo.html She even dies the harsh/growling male vocals of this song. P.S.S. She has also a vocals cover of Ghost Love Score that combines the album version by Tarja & the live version by Floor at Wacken Open Air in 2013.
I think some of those records are from his ReinXeed career, as well from his project Swedish Hitz goes metal. Covers a lot of ABBA and others metal style.
Tommy has a little bit a baby face just as Meat...when Meatloaf was very young and not so fat---ok...most of the time he was a little thicker...may he rest in peace

My 86yr old mom has been introduced to Tommy...she in LOVE!!
She thinks he’s precious too, huh?? 💜

Couldn't agree more. I think he is great. I haven't followed Tommy more that a year or two. I try to spread the word when i can. Så rock on broder!

Next to him I think many of us feel like we're wasting away our lives. I mean, where does he find time and energy to do all the things he does?

Without knowing i would say it is Sabaton on his wall. I have seen it at Floor and Hannes home so they all got it in the band probably
The most humble artist is ever see, also in the vlogs of sabaton hes so cute❤

I wish you would react to The end of the world with Golden Resurrection, a Gary Moore cover with Tommy on the lead guitar
I just can't see any look-alike with Meat Loaf, both are blonde, but no!
