Good i loved that! 2 majestic(a) voices in a classic song. Gary, RIP, is surely smiling seeing his old guitar being used by Tommy to honor him on this day with that song.
This song is a response by Gary Moore about the Korean Airlines flight 007 that was shot down by the Soviet Union on September 1st 1983 where all 269 passengers on board were killed.
What a great performance by our Majestica(l) singers.❤ We'll have to believe Tommy when he said this song wasn't originally planned to be released on this exact commemoratial date, but sometimes fate makes its own decision. 😢 Sad occasion, but it gave us a great tribute.
I could feel the anger and frustration that Gary Moore wanted everyone to experience as the horrific story unfolded. Those 269 innocent souls that were snuffed out because of greed and misguided ideas of power never received the justice that they deserved. Thank you Tommy and Chris for your hard work and incredible skills to tell this story. And..thank you SueSue and your hubby, Wolfman for giving this song the respect it deserves.❤
i felt this anger from Gary also as i heard it for the first time, back in the eighties...but for the full respect they should had listened to gary´s original at first, in my opinion....none of the youtubers do so, thats sad
Tommy and Chris is like siblings. Their voices together takes my breath away! This Gary Moore song gets so powerful whit these guys instrument. Thanks for the reaction and I hope you Wolfman soon will get well.
I have no idea what motivated Gary Moore and co-writer Neil Carter to write Murder in the Skies. What a coincidence though that Tommy released this cover on the exact date of the incident's 40th anniversary! Yes, Tommy and Chris were together in Majestica. Wolfman, if that cough doesn't clear up by the end of the day maybe you should get it looked at, right? Enjoyed the reaction! Stay safe and stay healthy! ~Mike H. 🍀❤
Possibly not a coincidence given four months earlier on one of his other Gary Moore covers I posted a comment suggesting the song for the 40th anniversary. I can only hope he saw that comment and it stuck with him, or maybe it’s two coincidences, regardless I’m just pleased he did the cover and that on the anniversary people will either remember the 269 souls on that flight or will learn about the souls lost on that flight.
@@RltchieI Sure, who knows how that came about, but as for the souls lost, yes, this is one more opportunity to bring attention to that very unfortunate turn of events that day, and that's always a good thing.
Well my previous comment on tommy and his guitar about this video is old news to you but no matter you got to this,And this was fantastic tommy and Chris. Thanks for song and reaction #2. I know as I move to next stop the rest of day will be without any phone to listen to. Have a fantastic afternoon and weekend. Thank you also for the background on this song 🙏🙏🙏
Hey guys! =) Fantastic reaction as always... Xo Re: McCartney's bass guitar. From what I heard, up until a few years ago it was in a closet at Abbey Rd., Studios, and when Paul was made aware of this, he required it, restored it, and uses it on tour.
**See Chris David on his YT channel (not Davidson) yes, Sue, Chris is the bassist in Majestica and fronts WizDoom!! My 2 favorite Swedes, totally crushing a great Gary Moore song! Sad story, but what a fantastic cover for us to not just enjoy... but to remember those who were lost.
@user-ud8cm1fr6l Ah, Kent, I'm so sorry, friend! You are #4... but only bc Carina has offered me lodging (w cats)...in case my country gets uninhabitable...
I disagree with Wolfman on Tommy and Chris sounding alike. To me Tommy has a classicly beautiful voice while Chris has a bit more of a edgy voice. But is great singers!
I was 15 at the time. I don’t know Garys story, but I imagine that he was tired of innocent people dying being from Ireland as he was with the IRA and all that’s been going on there. It sounds like you to se a doctor about that gough my bearded Buddy…. Loved your reaction 😘❤️❤️.

Chris is a great singer and bassplayer..and yes Chris is in Majestica,Wizdoom and Therion
Well done tribute to the best of all-time! Gary would approve!

Really? I can’t believe it was out of his hands for so long! Glad he has it back. Sir Paul should have it!
No, they are still looking for it in September 2023.
My mistake, I had heard that it was found.@@meclazine

I agree, Permilla! Chris has an impressive range...but he has a "dirty", gritty tone to his voice. And it's a great compliment to Tommy's voice!
@@amygoodson-catlady I couldn't have said it better myself! 👍
I havent heard a band before with two such great singers
@@Kent-m7d Me neither!
But I have seen the two greatest Mr Mercury and Mr Dio and hoping to see the third one Mr Tommy J@@pernillaeriksson8594

so sad that none of you UA-camrs react to the original at first....the great respect Tommy has for Gary should be a role model for you all
