I previouly owned a Tank2, and I can confirm that its laser projector displayed very blurry images, nearly impossible to read. It seems that the Tank3 pro/3s latter models have fortunately switched back to the good old DLP technology, with focus adjustement for a crisp and clear projection👍
I'm never gonna a buy an expensive phone without features that really matters. Ditching my high end phones for a low cost blackview N1000 and now looking at this Tank 3 pro more needed features.
The 480P optical system appears to best the 720P non-optical one in every visual category: color, dynamic range, sharpness, and even resolution. And it's that latter one that makes no sense. On paper, all else being equal, 480P should appear noticeably softer. It would be great if someone with technical knowledge of the non-optical MEMS module could explain what's going on. On the flip side, the 480P optical implementation has clearly produced a significantly larger phone that also requires a fan. The fan will be the first thing to break...
Nice demonstrstion, gonna check your review now. Im considering this phone, it looks like a beast, crazy festures. I just bought a Moondrop MIAD 01 for its dual headphone jacks (3.5mm and 4.4mm) and dual CS pro dac chips (the MIAD is great, im really pleased, cant believe its a £350 phone) but im thinking i want this Tank 3 pro now too. Lol i bought a fiio m15s dap for £970 and now wish i got the tank instead, as my miad sounds great for my music sure its not as good as the m15s (but easily as good as my ibasso dx180, hiby r4 and sony nw a306 Japan import)
Thank you for that one sentence 6:40 "...and there's no MANUAL keystone correction". This is information that simply exists NOWHERE on the goddamned internet including UA-cam (and it would be all kinds of important for me). On the other hand, BOTH of those phones are "DLP" projectors, which just means you shine a source of light on a bunch of itty-bitty mirrors which swivel to reflect more or less light out the projection lens or away from it. The only difference is the SOURCE of that light - which in the Tank2 is indeed three (red, green, blue) lasers, while just being an LED in the Tank3 Pro. And while this DOES have implications on the need (or not) to focus, it is not supposed to change much else - it just so happens that the laser module in the Tank2 seems to be a rather, uh, "built to cost" one **cough*fellofthebackofatruckonitswaytothelandfillafterfactoryQArejectedit*cough** especially regarding the alignment of the three different light sources (note the red/green fringes around "white" letters), absent on the Tank3 Pro LED projector, which seems to be a decent quality.
any idea about a solution for sleep timer for projector? Like setting the projector to stop after certain time, in case you are going asleep while watching TV...
ive been using a tank 2 for 2 years now and the laser project does not look blurred text or has the weird colour effects its always seems clear and detailed with accurate vibrant colour ! wouldnt mind picking up a tank 3 pro to see the difference !!
The Tank 2 has already lasted me over 1 year and I have use it a lot. In regards to life span, a laser projector usually lasts 10,000 hours. Which is many years of usage. Replacement would probably be covered under the warranty I would presume, good question to ask customer services.

could be cool for emulation, bring a few small bluetooth controllers, point landscape to a wall, and play
But which one of the three is brighter tank 2 pro tank 3 pro or tank 3s?
Can you put this with any carrier?
Wow great comparison going to get the Pro in 2 days thanks.

How much battery consume projector at tank 3? Is phone still silence when projector run?
What !? Why would Chigz be lying to us now? he is one of my trusted sources for testing cool stuff!
Exactly, nothing to gain from lying.
I'mm still blown away by how much tech is available for so little money

Great comparison. Love these tank phones🤙

My father is very fond of using the projector phone, I have not found it anywhere, can you help me with this phone.🙏🙏🙏
Great review, the Tank 3 pro picture is pretty nice.
Yes better than I expected.
You sure the Tank 2 did not only have 20 Lumens, I remember hearing at list one else saying that?

Good review only thing to correct you on I slapped in a 1.5 tb SanDisk micro SD card it works fine
Nice, good news that it works.
2 GB should be no issue. The same thing has been ongoing saying they only support such and such.

Good bid, thanks as usual.
Just aside, anyone with a tank 2 having -61% issues . Iykyk
I'm just wondering the life span of the bulbs and can it be replaced.

@@ChigzTechthat’s a good question, if the bulbs are included in 2 years guarantee
@@ludenfox4327 Yes its a good question, but you need to ask 8849 customer services through their website.
