    9:56, "You're in for a treat". Would front half of this sentence (You' re in) express/mean she would be absorbed in the drama series? And does the phrase 'for a treat' imply her to binge-watch?

      If anyone tells you that you are in for a treat, it means that whatever you are gonna do or experience is going to be pleasant.

      Thank you for your useful/productive video. I've convinced shadowing your video would make me fluent and increase my vocabulary (idioms/new words) two birds with one stone.
      I'd continue shadowing your video everyday for about 15 minutes.

    Thank you for your conversation training video. Would you mind if I ask you a question? 0:54, "lot I'm trying to wrap my head around all the new tasks and responsibilities" In this caption the word 'wrap' has a lot of meaning (immersed in, obsessed, worry, hold, etc) in our indigenous dictionary. I suppose it'd suit 'hold in mind/immersed in' but GT translate it 'worry'. Would you mind if I ask you how does 'wrap' mean in this context?

      @englishconversationandstories9  7 місяців тому +1

      "Wrap my head around (Something)” is an idiom,
      It means: To understand something OR To fully grasp something."
      This is also ok:
      I'm trying to immersed in my head around all the new tasks & responsibilities.

      Thank you for your innovative teaching reply. You teach me the language would diverse/change over time rather than being unchanging like fossils. As I encounter your cutting-edge vocabulary(idioms,words) you express I feel our indigenous dictionary is an antique several hundreds years ago.

    7:56, "she's growing like a weed", I suppose this statement would not be impolite because he is expressing his relative(niece), but If express other's in the same way might be impolite, right? Would this be my non-native feeling? Or would it be a common expression?

    • @englishconversationandstories9
      @englishconversationandstories9  7 місяців тому +1

      Growing like a weed is an Idiom.
      It means: To grow very quickly.
      Mostly use this expression in US when talking about how fast children grow. it's not impolite. Weed is a plant which grows very fast that's why they say "Growing like a weed"
      Example: Look at you! You're growing like a weed!

      Thank you for your teaching comment. Thanks to your teaching, my English skills are improving exponentially.
      The idiom 'like a weed' couldn't use in this (intangible) case, right?
