True, but you needed more skill to tech those platforms and players are largely awful at maintaining their gear. Then they just say this or that sucks because they did not take care of it.
I really wish that they put some effort into the aesthetics as Bob Long once did. They don’t sell much for accents with most companies leaving you with the only option for customization being anodizing.
It sorta looks like a DSR, I just don't know if it's worth the money vs the DSR. Just from what it looks like. It also sounds loud and that could be just the surroundings. Sounds almost harsh/snappy.
The real question is……I’m in the market for a whole new set up, marker, hopper, tank, mask, pack, jersey, pants, etc. for my market my budget is between $1200-$2000 and I’m stuck between a New Dye MXR in a PGA color, I’m leaning towards death star or the volcanic color ways which are $1650 or do I go with a new Geo R5 in either a graphite/red for the same $1650 price tag and send it out for a custom 1 of 1 a no or just say f**k it and spend another $300 and get a Dust Lagos or Dust Pearl ANS exclusive color way.
I’ve been a Dye Guy since the beginning. Never had any serious issues. (Never had a DLS though) Between about 20 other markers, from PE to Macdev too. I like what I’m seeing from the MXR but I wouldn’t jump on it right away. You’ll be happy either way but if you’re going to spend that much I’d go Geo R5. My honest advice would be to not spend that much on just a marker that barely out-performs their younger brothers. Get a completely top end set up (HK Alpha Air/Spire 5) and a proven marker like the DSR+ or PE 180R.
when you guys are filming the shooting portion why do you point the camera at the target and not the actual marker shooting??? filming the paint hitting the target is so stupid, it doesn't tell you anything about the marker. point the camera at the marker next time
