- He "NEEDS" These NEW FORGIVING Irons! In this video I convince one of my best friends that he actually needs these forgiving golf clubs in the golf bag. Currently he was using the Taylormade P770 irons, before that he opted for the Callway Apex Pro Irons and even the Titleist T100 irons. But are the new Cobra Forged Tech Irons the best forgiving irons of 2021? The best forgiving irons ever? The best irons for mid handicap golfers? The best irons for low handicap golfers? And even the best irons for high handicap golfers!! Let’s do it… and let’s do it now!
If anyone should put these in the bag it's definitely you James , you've hardly missed one and getting really nice flight with them.
I was finally fitted for a set of irons this year. Went into the cobra king forgers tec with a dynamic gold 105 x100 shaft. Love them!
Took my handicap from 10.5 to 5..1!!!

How high of a handicap would these be good for? The cobra website mentions 11-15 handicap, so are they not forgiving enough for a 20ish handicap?
I'm a 17 handicap and the dispersion is crazy good with these irons, forgiving enough for me.

I tried these in the copper, was close to buying them. Ended up with P790’s but would have been happy with these. Just liked the look of the P790’s a touch more.

You could tempt me into using those clubs and I'd put them in the bag. The only thing is that I'd want them in the One Length version

The irons themselves look good, but I could not play them because of the big KING logo on them. Absolutely HATE that.
Unfortunately the club fitter I went to didn’t have these in lefty. I may have ended up with them instead of the p790’s. The close second was actually cobras rad speed irons.
Mr. Robinson- In all of your videos I have never seen Chris so excited. How about these irons for high handicappers?
I game the copper Tec irons they're nice. The finish has held up pretty good throughout the season. My cousin Joey might be getting them as I tested the T200 last week which I absolutely love.

Not a big fan, Srixon Zx7s are the ticket for me. Maybe from last year, but really, with Covid, the past two years all seem to be one.
I just obtained a set of King Forged TEC with KBS $ Taper shafts in regular. So far, so good!

Is there a difference between the clubs that say King forged Tec and the ones that say Cobra forged REC?
I just don't like the big KING stamp on the back. Other than that they are really nice. After Chris hit the first shot he was trying to hide his smile. Lol.

I'm a callaway junkie but these forged tec where to good in testing against the apex for me, i bought the cobra's in the end

I wish you'd say what you mean Robo. For me it would be the P790, but I haven't tried them myself, just from what I've read/seen. You should do a compare between them and these. If you don't want to I'll ask Big Al. He can get all the views for it.
Talk about serendipity. I just tried a Cobra 9 iron, just like those, this morning at the range. I was crushing it. I liked the swing weight and the ball exploded off the club. But I have to say, that huge 'KING' on the back of the clubface is ugly. I could get over that. I will have to try a couple other of the irons Saturday.
My best mate received a set of TaylorMade P770s from his son as a gift. They are amazing irons but he is a 28 handicap. Should I suggest he trade them for a more forgiving set or keep quiet and watch him struggle? I'm a 16 handicap and use M6 irons.
Tried them at my local PGA Super Store in Austin, TX with some Senior Flex graphite shafts, and they made me feel like I was 30 years old again! ( I am 64, with a very bad left knee) I was hitting my 7 iron 150 yards again with my same swing that use with my Nike's...which goes about 135! Now...all I need is to sell a few of my paintings....and I might be able to purchase them! Great clubs!!
I bagged these when they came out had them 6 month but just couldn't get on with the 4 and 5 iron. The offset was bordering on been too much for me so traded them in for the mim tour like a fool. Even worse with the mims i just thought they were super unforgiving in the low irons so they went after 4 month too. Went in last month and tried the p770, p790, t100s and t200s and t200s won all hands down for me. Results on the course were equally impressive as my iron play brought me down from 9 to 5 in a month.

As a fellow Yorkshireman I really can gel with the "2 Ronnies" playing golf. I am always getting criticised for my Yorkshire humour here in Kenya as they dont quite get it. Carry on you two and I am sure you will soon have your own comedy slot on the box. Oh yeh, and the golf is good too.

Enjoy watching this while eating my breakfast. Chris is a happy camper, love his dry humor. Love the looks of these irons, unfortunately i didn’t try them in my custom fit back in May this year. My fitter went right to Titleist AP3 then T-200’s which i ultimately loved and bought.
You guys need carry/stand bags, yes those are super lightweight but I’d rather use a stand bag than lay it on the ground
I went to get fitted for new irons, My Ping I25 wrere played alot,I was looking at Titleist T200,Callaway Apex 19, Mizuno JPX 921,Cobra was not on my radar until the sales person had me try them out,, my dispersion was a lot better than any other club that I hit, and really forgiving on my miss hits . I get a lot of compliments on my clubs, they really nice looking in the bag and they also inspire confidence in the fairway and ruff

Great clubs, ya can mis-hit em though. I've shanked the cr#p out of mine on occasion. They are copper with black shafts though, so that makes up for it!
I just got the rad speed D,3,5, and 7 woods. Looking at these irons to complete the set ! I was able to get a sneak peek at the new Cobra tech irons for 2022. They look amazing as well ! They'll be out in January from what I've heard.
Im playing Taylormade 770 and love them, but wouldnt mind playing something a tad more forgiving. Only thing keeping me from playing more forgiving irons is always the loft. They are always soo strong ! Just look at that Cobra set. P-wedge is 44 degrees and so on :( And thats the deal with more or less most of the bit more forgiving irons
To be honest I think I must invest in these irons, i have been playing with 2014 apex pro’s and oh boy these cobra’s looks really really amazing

Callaway Apex irons are the best for 2021 because that's what I bought. Lowered my handicap 2 shots from 11 to 9.
They look great,but could not replace them with the best irons I've ever hit and game ping,i210's
I subscribe because you guys are serious about being skillful golfers but can still inject a lot of humor into the video. It's like snubbing your nose at the golfing snobs who want to pass a law that prohibits shorts on the golf course. Good on ya.

I am seriously considering playing these irons, I currently have cobra 3 wood 4/5 hybrid, wedges and putter in the bag already.
Out of interest did you get to try this year's PXG 0211's and if so what did you think? These are the irons I am currently using. Would be great to hear your thoughts on if I should change or not.

For some reason I always end up watch part 2 on Chris’ channel first but in this instance it was the right move.
I’ve thought about getting a set of King irons many times since buying a second hand King pitching wedge that absolutely rocks.

Fabulous looking irons- bit wary of offset. Never seen James swing better - looks like you're getting through the ball better with your body turned to the target with a high follow through.
