Well, the condenser that the guy told us to get at Napa was for a modern distributor. They said they could get the one we needed. It would take two days. The truck was backfiring and chugging for three days before it finally overheated on the third day.
Good to see you again! Sounds like a great adventure, despite the mechanical issues. Sorry about your hailstorm. Hope your crops recover. Got any hikes in the pipeline?
Still do not know what caused the problem with my truck did a compression check all cylinders 60 pound read the same starting fluid on the intake manifold didn’t sound like any leaks, new distributor, another carburetor another coil took the cover off the timing gear no teeth missing and the timing gear was tight I want to try to drive a little more until something breaks. Any more ideas what could be wrong?
The truck was backfiring, chugging and losing power for three days. It finally overheated after the third day. We timed the distributor about six times in those three days.
Enjoyed Vickie’s monologue! 😂
Great video sir! Thanks for taking us along. I appreciate that people preserve our history.
April here! You were shopping where I worked while waiting for Best Buy to open and you told me to check out your UA-cam so here I am! 😀
Thanks for checking out my UA-cam.look at my earlier videos when I was on the Appalachian Trail.
You might try moving the tag from in front of the radiator.
Nice trip I never knew you could get condensers at O’Reilly’s good tip. Take your radiator to Piqua and get it cleaned out. Nice video.

Your truck overheating after 10 miles if that radiator was 25% blocked it would act like that just a thought
