'Let's hope it's not a case of let's see what bargains we can get at the end of the window'. Alasdair mate, we all know that's EXACTLY what levy is doing here. Ange isn't blameless here, but levy has absolutely hung him out to dry here.
No one expects 14 out, but they dumped experience and took the punt for one year and it has worked so far. Still think Carabao they have a ateong chance and with most (say 8) players back, finish abt 10th.
Can’t believe i’ve come to the point where I’m actually losing the hope, belief, and excitement of supporting spurs, and i know im not the only one. All that pre-match excitement and anticipation has been completely sucked out of me. Thats what happens when football isn’t the priority. Just so disgusted with this ownership. Once you lose the fans, the club dies.
This club is insufferable to support, wish I could just forgot about it till game day, but instead I’m checking social media every 3 hours for ANY transfer news. And the only thing I’ve seen is we want another 18 year old and an attacking midfielder we don’t need FOR THE SUMMER, we are a joke.
Thanks ally. I listen to these in bed and night and it’s very therepeutic and normally helps to send me to sleep. (That’s not meant in a negative way by the way)
I truly believe the only reason Ange hasn't been sacked is because Levy just doesn't know who to replace him with. Anyone good enough to do the job (Naaglesmann, Slot, Amorim) were turned off by having Levy as there boss. Leaving the ones actually willing to do the job, not good enough to do it. All the years of terrible ownership has now caught up with him.
@@adekunleadeleye5371He’s a good manager where he is now. At Spurs he wouldnt be because its pretty impossible to be a good manager. We’d sack him in 18 months too
I disagree Ali , Lankshear should’ve started at Hoffenheim and also Tamworth. There’s more games he should’ve started better than tiring out the whole squad or trying to put square pegs in round holes. Let’s face it not playing the kids ready or not hasn’t worked either and in turn created more injuries. How people are still making excuses for Ange , against Everton we finally got a CB back and what does Ange do play one more CB it’s baffling. It wasn’t just the 4 minutes after half time it was also the first 10 minutes of the first half where we we awful. Yes the ultimate problem is Levy but Ange still is absolutely out of his depth. Take out the first 10 games of last season and our form has been terrible also during times with decent squads available see Palace away , Ipswich at home. We need a new manager or we’re going down. Anges only plan B is “play Archie Gray there”
Recently resigned from stewarding at Tottenham, I can confirm that if there’s any displays (banners etc) directed towards the chairman you’re made to take them down. The same goes for political things such as flags, Palestine, Ukraine etc. were reminded of this before every game, good or bad form. It’s not that necessarily that they want to, it’s just orders from above. The control room that sits above the North West corner will direct the supervisor in that area to do so as they have cameras upon cameras in that stadium. I hope this helps from a different perspective. Keep up the great work.
What it said was '24 years, 16 managers, 1 trophy.' That's directed at the ENIC ownership rather than the chairman himself. That's not enough to take the banner down but I understand why the stewards follow their supervisors orders. However even Ali Gold, who is usually very balanced, can't defend that decision. I bet the stewards feel the same way as the fans deep down.
@@FrancisRenolds Yeah I know what was on it and totally understand your point. The thing I’d alluded to is that from the control room they’ll see that and the stadium manager will radio a supervisor in that area to take it down, so his team will have to follow suit. Chain reaction of orders unfortunately. As a fan and working there I feel fans have every right to voice their opinions, because let’s face it, it’s not good enough. Plain and simple.
At celtic ange had a horrific injury crisis. Jan 1st they signed 3x players which shocked all the fans as their club usually didn't operate in this manner. This backing propelled them to overtake rangers in the table and win the title. The teams needed help for months. It doesn't even need to be spending a fortune. Just ange type players with a good attitude willing to help the team.
Yes the lack of squad strengthening has been shameful, but Ange’s mismanagement of his existing resources has been terrible. Why play a gassed Solanke 82 mins against the Saints after leading 5-0 at halftime?
I have Tottenham-pression. Just deep sadness and hopeless feelings for Tottenham, especially the exhausted players. They aren't this bad and we're not this bad😥You nailed it all in the video👏and I totally agree about Ange's squad selection and rotation bc that is the one thing I've repeatedly questioned during this injury ridden period.
The Sarr and Reguillon decision is shocking, his willingness to risk players who are injured or fatigued or at risky of injury is baffling, it’s insanity.
Thanks Ali for calling out ENIC. Congrats Levy You have completely broken a manager that could have been fun and created something special by being cheap once again. Well done Levy. Well done. Only thing that we are building and investing is in the new Hotel. I don’t know what Ange has done to piss off the football gods but they are mercilessly handing him just about the worst combination of injury luck and results luck that I can remember any team ever having in a football season.
Thanks Ali, great analysis, been Spurs for over 50 years, lowest point since we were relegated in 77. Very worrying times, hard to see where the next win comes from, but still live in hope. COYS!
“Pape Sarr shouldn’t have played today” … then why did you play him?! Is he insane?! Play Reguillon who is a LB and gray in midfield, can’t get over that.
hes made so many baffling decisions this season. Not playing Spence or even registering him in the europa league squad, and his game management at times is woeful
I never would have the patience to talk about this topic after such a loss. I appreciate the effort you still put in those videos after evenings like those.
Klopp managed to turn it around at BD in the second half of his final season there and BD then regretted not extending his contract after that. He went through a very very similar situation as to what Ange is going through right now. A massive injury crisis that Klopp said was the worst in football history. He was also getting a lot of stick for his training style and high press game play with the media and fans blaming that for the injuries. They started off the season going from 8th to 12th then they dropped to the bottom of the league by Nov/ December/ January. But then players started coming back and they steadily climbed the table and finished 7th. The similarities are crazy if you look them up. Playing almost identical to the way Spurs are at the moment.
@@caldz4392 His point is that Klopp is a good manager and worth giving time to. He already proved how good by winning back to back titles with Dortmund. Ange has done nothing with Spurs to suggest he's good enough for us or even any top league.
@joewhite22 and Ange has won everywhere he has been. And don't give me the nonsense of its the Scottish league, Japanese league or Asian cup. Judge the man at the end of the season.
@ It's not nonsense though is it? The quality of the league should make a difference. Judging based on what you did in the SPL at the best club in a weak league isn't relatable to Spurs. We can judge at the end but frankly he'll be lucky to make it to the end because he is in sackable form. And playing the injury card doesn't excuse some of these losses either.
The Sarr decision was bad, should have started Regi. And Ange had a couple of similar decisions the past. In particular not trusting Spence for so long. Moore deserved a start as well. Should have started and given rest to Deki or Son. Also could have brought Lankshear much earlier. Son and Deki were dreadful anyways and we lacked a natural center striker. Of course we have injuries but Ange could do better utilizing those who are fit.
Ange has been hung out to dry by Levy. No signings by now is deriliction of duty. No company would try and soldier on when they had 11 staff out of 25 basically off sick. You hire in agency people to plug the hole. Yes its more expensive but in order to provide your service you need to do that. But Levy doesn't seem to care. The fans are rightly fuming and he stands there watching on whilst Ange is being sworn at and abused. Not good enough!! He owes Ange and those players playing twice a week big time if we get through this. Shame on him.
I've never seen you use the words "embarrassing" and "rediculous" as much as you did here Ali. And you're 100% right. The mismanagement of this squad by Levy and the board is a disgrace. Levy was eager to get any amount of funds he could for players like Lo Celso, Parrott, and PEH. But they could have done a job for us. Sure they didn't fit Ange's system but we had to replace that experience with more than completely untested teenagers! Looking ahead at the EPL schedule I don't see much hope to pick up any points. We are in a severe relegation fight and no one at the top seems to care. Will they care when we're in the Championship next year? Who knows...
Feels like Levy is throwing Ange under the bus. Saving money for a new manager in the summer. I'd always been a mild supporter of Levy and his achievements with the infrastructure. But this has gone too far. Ange is a stand up guy, transparent, honest, ambitious and talented. Will be gutted when he's sacked. LevyOut#
This lot are beyond being embarrassed. They have no shame and learnt nothing post those two awful transfer windows. It's all about revenue/money for them. History will not forgive them.
I reckon Levy thinks he can avoid buying in now as he sees injured players returning. He forgets that they will not be fully match fit, they will be overplayed again and will get injured again. As Jonathan Wilson writes this all shows a lack of ambition.
One thing I’m not seeing anyone mention is the clear lack of on-field leadership we’re witnessing every game. As soon as anything starts to go wrong, these players become meeker and more clueless. Every opposition manager must be telling their players that all they need to do is ruffle our feathers, for even 5 minutes in Leicester’s case, and we’ll fall apart. Even in adversity, the complete absence of backbone this team and squad in general display is on par with some of the worst Spurs sides we’ve seen since the 90’s. The culture and trickle effect the board have implemented has made THFC completely inept in every aspect.
Son is too nice to be captain. Porro being selfish and shooting instead of passing, yet none of our team are onto him for that. I don't think Madders is the type too, hes probably a good figure in the dressing room but not captain material. Vicario should be captain as he's the only one that I've seen be vocal, but it'd be harsh to strip sonny of captaincy.
Its actually hilarious that everything that could’ve gone wrong this season happened. Suffered due to the lack of experience in the squad, having the greatest injury crisis as long as I could remember, and the board not being able to sign the players we need.
Thanks again Ali, I always enjoy your videos. Always so level headed and realistic which helps me to understand the situation we are in. I really like what you mentioned regarding Bournemouth and why Ariola does not get questioned about injuries when Ange does. I actually took that thought to work and shared it with some Arsenal fans and they thought that it was a good point too. Thanks again, I hope you enjoy your day off. 😎
Where is Scott Munn in all of this? Brought in to manage the footballing side of things so Levy could step back?? Someone is stealing a wage here! Keep up the great work Ali! Jason@JNDFishing
Let’s not forget this run could easily have been predicted, simply by the way we finished last season, losing 6 of the last 11 games. The 3 relegated sides (Luton, Sheffield Utd, Burnley) played a HUGE role in making Ange look better than he is, by generously donating 18 points - 9 at the start of the season & 9 at the end. Of course now he’s able to mask his shortcomings, by blaming it all on injuries (in which he’s played a significant role).
Ally, you spoke in the early days of Ange’s tenure as to how he had reunited the Club and recreated the Spurs family. We have seen this before with Martin Jol, Harry and most notably Poch but each time it has been destroyed by ENIC, Levy and his various henchmen- and now it’s happening again. For 24 years they have taken the Club that has been my passion for 64 years and turned it into an embarrassing basket case. Yet there is no sign of the lunatics relinquishing their iron grip on the asylum. He’ll mend them.
Harry Redknapp used to say Europa League was exhausting and he would play kids. Is there any team there has had success playing league, fa cup, Carabao cup, and Europa league - you can’t unless you have huge squad
What is Scott Munns doing? He and Johan Lange getting off lightly with this situation? There should be more scrutiny of them. My belief is that Ange is a dead-man walking and will be replaced at the end of the season. The new man will have his own signings hence no signings this window. Ange, to me, is not good enough at this level. He has made mistakes but failed to learn from them, set pieces and far post crosses over the fullbacks being 2 examples. Domestically, he has been found out by his opponents and fails to adapt tactics. This club has to be in Europe with Europa League minimum, for revenue and level of signings. We have to win Europa League this season or Cuti will go. Fail to qualify, we'll lose Deki too. We are in grave danger of becoming a 'wilderness team' like Leeds, Forest were and Everton are. We're almost there now. We are not a Big club. We've only won 17 trophies in our existance. The Big clubs have won 19 out 20 of the last domestic trophies..our last trophy was 2008. It hurts.
All we hear is the injuries , we have in the first team a squad of 34 players ( check it out ) at present playing ,injured or loan The player management of this manager and his back room staff is abismal. Why loan out when injuries must have been obvious, why not play the youngsters in the squad to relieve overworked players. This is the worst manager I have seen at Spurs since I started supporting in 1957
His handling of Solanke is a microcosm of his poor squad management. He should’ve consistently rested him in the 2nd half of blowouts, but he ran him into the ground including the worst offender: a gassed Solanke playing 82 mins vs the Saints after leading 5-0 at halftime. Lankshear should’ve been given the 2nd half
59:57 - What are the odds that Levy has a clause in the contract to be able to fire Postecoglu without as much compensation if we fall to a certain position in the league? I'm almost convinced that Levy would have this top of his mind if he can sack Mourinho before a cup final. That smelled of avoiding a trophy bonus and that Levy thought he'd pulled a fast one doing it so late that Mason could just continue the coaching ahead of the match.
Ange would rather play injured players than use his youth players, if he used the youth it would give the first team some rest at least. He will lose using tired players, so it at least will give players a chance long term. Lankshear must be really pissed off.
David, maybe rather than subjecting us to 50 different, incoherent, chain of consciousness comments that don't seem to be grounded in much of anything that Ali has actually covered in this video, you could instead write your manifesto down, sleep on it, and reflect in the morning whether these 50 comments are worth sharing with us. Thanks
This was very clearly a game between a team who'd had an entire week to prepare and a team who'd travelled back from Germany in the early hours of Friday morning and had the accumulated burden of two months of the same overcrowded schedule. Like everybody else, I had hopes we'd pull some miracle out of the hat. But the EPL is far too strong to make such possibilities likely.
Never a big fan inder previous managers but PEH showed last season he could do an important job in Ange's team and if we had him this year I don't think we'd be where we'd be.
@@kimchi_b PEH made a lot of mistakes for me but maybe it was because he knew it was his last season at the club and his mind was elsewhere. But his leader ship is definitely missed. Letting Lo celso go was also a mistake, he performed when he was given a chance
Good luck getting ange to admit he made a mistake. The guys got the biggest ego. Especially considering he is a one trick pony. His tactics and training is causing most the injuries.
I no longer know what to think, who to blame or where we are heading and that is extremely worrying. I really miss the Lane at the moment, the odd cup win, playing Woolwich at their place on New Year's, even the days when we didn't know if Gary Doherty was playing Centre Half or Centre Forward 🤣 Certainly simpler times. Cheers Ali.
I really believe Levy will sack Ange after we lose at Liverpool and Aston Villa and that’s the reason we have not signed any players. I like Ange but his tactics and team shape just are not good enough. What a mess we are. Humiliating.
One of the other problems is that the longer the current players get overworked, the more impact that will eventually start to have on next season. So we’re increasingly screwed now. And will increasingly be into the future.
As frustrated as any fan at the moment but it’s part of loving the club I’ve followed for the 64 of the years in 70 on this earth. It’s been an unprecedented injury situation unfortunately so I’m prepared to allow some mitigation for the manager but it doesn’t transfer to Daniel Levy and the board. He has consistently ran the football club as business which is fine. That said he’s done so to the detriment of the manager the players and most importantly the fans. They ask for nothing other than success even if on a small level at first. As a CEO that responsibility falls upon you as much as the players and manager. While Levy has achieved on every level in respect of the business acumen he has failed on the football front thru nothing but fear of taking risks in investment in the playing squad and attempting to compete with other clubs we aspire to be.
Well put John. Only 4 years your senior, so like you have seen the full range of situations surrounding this club. I honestly cant recall any scenario which even comes close to where we are now. I hope beyond hope that Ange and the team pull off a huge U turn in our on the pitch fortunes despite the lack of football ambitions that seems quite apparent from the board. The fans, the players, manager and team support staff need it.
Get some players in who are not first team quality and for squad rotation…this is fine but as you pointed out, Reggie fits that mould and Ange still doesn’t use him. So if we sign a few players for squad rotation, will Ange use them?
Great video as always Ali…totally agree that injuries are a killer but Ang also needs to take responsibility. agree with Reguillon staring and Gray moving to midfield with Starr dropping out…that’s down to Ange
Regarding the Sarr/Reguilon question that you're debating to ask on Wednesday and if not for Brentford - you have to ask this question on Wednesday. Reg isn't available on Thursday night and would have allowed Sarr to be rested and Archie moved into the midfield for the mid-week game. It doesn't matter if he doesn't see him as a starter, we have double-figure injuries that will only continue to grow as it is. You have to ask this question!!!
Also, the fact Brighton, Villa and Chelsea are loaning players - and bear in mind we are NOT direct rivals at the moment - shows that we really haven't thought outside the box. One player at this stage would be so embarrassing - we are in the biggest chance of relegation in *years* and not flinching. Unforgivable
Another point about Tottenhams vs Bournemouth injuries is we have had these injuries for longer. All these teams are clocking up injuries now, but we have had this problem for the past 2 months. That’s not normal. I believe in Ange. I hate to say it but I even believe in levy. I’m sure the only reason Ange still has a job is because levy can internally reflect on how he’s hung him out to dry, and he’s handled it like a legend. Imagine what conte would have to say at a time like this….with a fully fit squad we are a match for anyone, and we are learning consistency. Ange in!!!!
Ange never rotated the squad when everyone was fit. Now everyone’s injured still doesn’t rotate the players he still has options too. We are tactically outclassed by every manager and look like school children all sprinting towards the ball. A 1.04 win rate and you’re ange in? You’re literally the problem with the club, levy loves you 😢
I remain very optimistic about what Spurs can achieve this season in the cup competition and feel Ange remains the manager to get us over the line. That said, he must do far better in the league. Many of these results are simply embarrassing as you said Ali. Thanks for holding another free Tottenham therapy session. All of us viewers owe you dearly.
That's the one thing I like about him. He isn't making them an excuse. He knows he doesn't have to say that. I wish he was better but he's not. He has not given these players a proper chance to succeed in my opinion. This argument about number of fixtures is killing me. What was his excuse for the second half of last season when we had nothing but the league fixtures and had the same problem. Just an excuse.
Fantastic analysis on the current situation. Would love to learn more about the wages/finances at the club. Feel like Levy has given every hint possible that they’d welcome outside investors, albeit at a bloated evaluation which is surely scaring off investors. Would imagine a new buyer would buy the club if they could get majority ownership but Levy won’t cede control. Only explanation for not investing in this squad and trimming the wage bill is they’re trying to make the club attractive for investors/buyers. Anything other than that is just pure negligence.
Lok ali let me tell you what I said before. The summer window was a cost cutting exercise not project youth not for the future a wage cutting exercise. Why would they undo that work now. It's clear thst champions league money is no longer his concern if it was ange would have gone a long time ago.
Has anyone pointed out yet that the song that was immediately cranked out after the match was Munich by Editors which has a chorus of " People are fragile things, you should know by now Be careful what you put them through" Very apt!
Culpability at Tottenham in order, biggest first: 1. levy 2. Cullen 3. Rest of the executives/board 4. Lange and his recruitment staff 5. Medical / Physio department 6. Some players 7. Ange Postecoglou 8. Some other players.
In order to avoid relegation you need 3 teams to be more awful than you. So far, one of those has taken FOUR points off us (Leicester) and another has already beaten us at Home. Can't believe I'm writing this about Tottenham. Where are our points coming from?
Great insight Ali. Agree with everything you've said. Invest! invest! invest! And yes.. enter the Rashford arena! Why not... With a bit of Ange positivity and perspective, Rashford could be a beast
Somehow I’m not even mad because I feel like I knew this was coming. When people start saying ”Spurs should win…” you just know Spurs won’t even show up. It used to kill my insides but not anymore for there’s not much insides left. Levy and the board are the vultures that’s feeding on the rotting carcass of spurs-fans hearts.
As much as I’m an Ange supporter and want it to work he has made so many poor mistakes this season with rotations/spence (Europa)/tactics. Our players can’t even scrap out a 1-0 win at home it’s so frustrating the lack of fight and resilience. My son’s a die hard spurs fan and his only 6 and said to me this morning “Dad why are spurs losing every game and losing to all the teams below them?”.
If we can give Gray, Bergvall, Lankshear and Moore playing time, then Ange could’ve given Yang 15-20 minutes against Leicester. A fresh pair of legs, he’s skilful and pacey. Ange even gave Oluseesi minutes.
Ange is undeniably one of the reasons the squad being shattered like this. His inability to manage / rotate the squad to share the minutes and the workload around all his players, and his inflexibility to adapt his tactics to help out his own players. They are down to their knees and here we are, dealing with a greedy board and a clueless plan-A only coach.
@@lapprenticeYep, fully agree. Ange is plan b-less. Why can’t he keep the defence back more, especially as he doesn’t have the correct players to play the high line, or half-way line defending! He had the same hamstring injuries at Celtic, yet he continues to be stubborn and risk injuring players. He has no defensive knowledge, as our defence is a joke. He says that he wanted to give Solanke a rest but “couldn’t” when in reality he could’ve if he gave Lankshear and he also had Dorrington as a natural centre back on the bench, who could have given 45 mins if not more, to rest other players.
Ali Gold.. the therapy I need during these challenging times of being a Spurs fan. Ali.. I don’t want to be melodramatic.. I don’t see us getting any points from our next 5 PL games from what we have seen against Everton and Leicester.. I reckon Dr Tottenham will make appearance even if we play against Southampton.. Relegation is a real possibility..😡 I hope and pray that I am being silly and completely wrong. C O Y S
Even last year the u21s struggled in their EFL trophy games against men. Mikey Moore, as talented as he is, is not ready to start PL games. He’s only ever played a handful of u21 club games, most of his experience is at u18 level. And he’s had a couple months out with illness. Need to be careful with him at this stage.
Now everyone seems to agree with what some of us have been saying all along. Inexperienced cheap players + an inexperienced cheap manager- and ultimately a very cheap chairman = cheap results. And to think we were being called pessimistic..
Also, being ever so slightly more proactive this window would have meant that our position in the league table, at the time, would have not scared off potential players. This is Poch's zero signings windows all over again. Levy had the attitude at the time; well we don't need to spend money because we're good enough to make a Champions League final.
The problem for Spurs is, with the imminent return of our injured players, who would want to sign for Spurs knowing you probably won’t be required in a few weeks.
Didn't think you'd have the energy to make a video. But as always you somehow manage to make me laugh and put a smile on my face despite the circumstances currently at Spurs. COYS
Once again another fantastic and informative video Alasdair. You have a great day off as Tottenham bring in four superstar players sorry I nodded off back in the real world lol 😂
Thank you Ail for another great video. I love my club and it saddens me in the way the club have totally mismanaged this transfer window. I blame of course Levy and Lange for this situation and their lack of drive to get the players we need. We are not privy as to what goes on in the Chairman’s or Technical Directors office, so it is difficult to say who is more responsible for this mess. They hide in their offices, say nothing and let Ange take the flack. A Liverpool supporter said to me I think jokingly, “how spursy would it be for Spurs to win the Europa League, qualify for the Champions League next season and yet get relegated so have to play Championship football next season. It could never happen Ali, or could it?
I think Bournemouth’s manager is getting all the plaudits because they’re currently the form team in the premier league despite the injuries . I know they don’t have midweek games but it’s still pretty impressive .
They only play once a week yet have 11 players out, don't hear him getting slaughtered like Ange does for all our injuries when we've had a 3 day turnaround from games since November.
@@moeezmalik3666we were shit at the end of last season with a full squad and no midweek games! We were shit this season with a full squad so what's your point!
Sonny should be the most livid in this situation, but he’s playing his heart out holding the team together. Even under Ange who is an absolute charlatan that refuses to play to Sonny’s strengths. Sonny’s the most underpaid superstar in the prem, and all that money Korean fans are paying to watch him is going into levy’s pockets rather than being used to get Sonny the support he needs to win something proper with this embarrassment of a club.
Yes Spurs do need players in , though not easy to get a player to want to come to Spurs right now , When Benta and Kulu came in Spurs were on the up, fighting for top four and everyone feeling good, it was easy for them to come into that energy, fast forward to now , Spurs are 15th , fans booing the chairman , pundits talking about Ange being sacked walking into a dressing room of players on their last legs not forgetting the mounting pressure, No player will be advised to come to Spurs right now, Moreover the player will have to hit the ground running right away will have no time to adapted, if that player makes a mistake then he will be cast into the 'not the right player box ' . What player who is settled at his club would want to leave to be unsettle ? Sometimes in life their is no blame just accepting and keep moving forward,
I agree... You cant moan about not having players but don't play Reguilon when players need a rest and play Moore too, just to freshen it up a bit. Then bring on Kulu or whoever you have rested later on in the game if needed
Karma for Shakhtar Donesk dealings. "I even said to Tottenham: 'I don't need money for him now. Let's have some kind of sell-on fee in the future: 30 or 40 per cent. That would be enough for us.' But they said: 'No, we'll give you 10 per cent.'
When I used to go to the old White Hart Lane I'd see stewards in smart blazers with the THFC club crest on them. When you visit the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium now you'll see stewards with a "Tottenham Hotspur Stadium" logo on their blazers with not a club crest in sight. This small example tells you all you need to know about how Levy and the board have separated the interests and branding of the stadium as an entity in itself, and the football club. I'm afraid a corporate entertainment complex and property portfolio has been created on the back of our football club, folks.
This style would work with the depth needed to rotate properly. Ange has to realize he has to build the squad first. He has run this squad into the ground. Bith the ownership and the coaching staff are to blame for a lot of this. We also have no veteran leadership in this team. There is a difference between words of someone pretending to be a leader and actions of someone who leads. The players on this squad have not gotten better under this coaching staff. A good caoch and manager puts his players in a position to do well and succeed. Ange and this coaching staff have not done that dispote the lack of backing in players brought in. You cleared out the cupboard and before you no it youve theown out something you needed. The whole club is in disarray and its obvious to anyone. Because of this you are not going to bring in big names and thats just a fact. Enic and Levy and the whole coaching staff out. Yep even Ryan Mason. Sorry but bye bye to them all........ Nothing changes till this happens. So I guess its, strap in everyone!
Its honestly one of the worst runs I have seen in 20 years. I thought we would pull out of this tail spin in the league over the last two games but we are plummeting. Im not sure Ange can get us out of this not a dig just watching us crumble in most matches looks like the definition of insanity
Interested to know what other people think about Yang Min Heyouk, for me it seems worryingly likely that he has been signed to fill the gap that Sonny will leave when he does go. But not for the right reasons, anyone who is a matchday going fan will see the huge numbers of Asians that will spend thousands of pounds just to see Son play and I just think it would be typical Levy to try and plug that gap to try and retain that Asian fanbase (with a financial motive for that reason and that reason alone). I hope I'm wrong and I hope Yang turns out to be an excellent player who helps the club see success but I would not be at all surprised if I turned out to be right because that is the exact kind of move big Dan would pull.
Why won't we pay the wages? I don't get it? What was the point in the stadium if it wasn't to allow us to compete? Was it just so Levy could pay himself a higher salary? We have huge financial resources but then act like we are a plucky underdog
I'm not a Levy fan but I've always kind of understood the reasons behind his decisions. Not getting in an outfield player for his manager who is really struggling is just beyond a joke, it's actually borderline negligent 😞
The owners are waiting for us to lose against Liverpool before sacking Ange and blaming everything on him. He's not been backed at all, feel so bad for him. We could have gone for 3/4 loans at least.
I clicked on this expecting a 1 hour 6 minute sigh followed by “Tottenham Hotspur, eh?” [VIDEO END]
Surely a “stay healthy, stay safe” at the end as well 😂
'Let's hope it's not a case of let's see what bargains we can get at the end of the window'. Alasdair mate, we all know that's EXACTLY what levy is doing here. Ange isn't blameless here, but levy has absolutely hung him out to dry here.
😢, you are right
No one expects 14 out, but they dumped experience and took the punt for one year and it has worked so far.
Mine has been lost since we sacked a manager the week of a cup final. And I didn't even like that manager a whole lot.
I’ve been trying to limit to once a day, it’s helped me massively 😊
Thanks ally. I listen to these in bed and night and it’s very therepeutic and normally helps to send me to sleep. (That’s not meant in a negative way by the way)
The Deloitte numbers are damning of underinvestment. 42% of review spent on wages, yet Levy is the highest paid director around. Terrible optics.
@@izzyleanne maybe Edin Terzic can tolerate him. He is a good manager.
You believe what you want but it’s not likely.
💯
@@adekunleadeleye5371He’s a good manager where he is now. At Spurs he wouldnt be because its pretty impossible to be a good manager. We’d sack him in 18 months too
@@adekunleadeleye5371why would he come here? This club ruin players and managers for the most part.
Anges only plan B is “play Archie Gray there”
Being 15th in the league is not exactly a “come to Spurs” incentive is the problem
Easily the most level headed of Spurs journalists. Thanks for reporting through the tough times, Ali. Cheers
The mismanagement of the existing resources will be Ange’s downfall
Thanks Ali for calling out ENIC.
Congrats Levy
You have completely broken a manager that could have been fun and created something special by being cheap once again.
Well done Levy. Well done.
Only thing that we are building and investing is in the new Hotel.
I don’t know what Ange has done to piss off the football gods but they are mercilessly handing him just about the worst combination of injury luck and results luck that I can remember any team ever having in a football season.
@@danielfernandes4580 lol! Bro! Or Ange is just flat out a bad coach in the Prem! Keep blaming God! 😂
D Spurs God is in form of a bald stubborn man unfortunately
Thanks Ali, great analysis, been Spurs for over 50 years, lowest point since we were relegated in 77. Very worrying times, hard to see where the next win comes from, but still live in hope. COYS!
Daniel Levy has destroyed Spurs as a football club.
My mate, a die hard celtic fan warned me Ange is a attacking manager, must score more, did say we'd be leaking goals though....how right was he.
The difference is klopp is a good manager
@jonzygon391 your point is ?
Yes not registering Spence was disgraceful. Could have given the youngsters a chance against Tamworth and rested players.
I can only fully detox after a spurs loss (especially at the moment) through your videos. You’re doing more for the fans than the actual club!
Ali, the stadium is a game changer... for the balance sheet, not the team sheet!
Where is Scott Munn in all of this? Brought in to manage the footballing side of things so Levy could step back?? Someone is stealing a wage here! Keep up the great work Ali! Jason@JNDFishing
Hello Alasdair Would you please enlighten me to what Scott Munn does at the club. His name is never mentioned.
Nothing probably
Let’s not forget this run could easily have been predicted, simply by the way we finished last season, losing 6 of the last 11 games. The 3 relegated sides (Luton, Sheffield Utd, Burnley) played a HUGE role in making Ange look better than he is, by generously donating 18 points - 9 at the start of the season & 9 at the end. Of course now he’s able to mask his shortcomings, by blaming it all on injuries (in which he’s played a significant role).
Repeat after me Ali, We will get through this, we will get through this, we will get through this 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Ally, you spoke in the early days of Ange’s tenure as to how he had reunited the Club and recreated the Spurs family.
Levy has sucked the enthusiasm for this club out of me.
Short term. Conte did that to me.. Ange brought it back
Harry Redknapp used to say Europa League was exhausting and he would play kids.
He will lose
using tired players, so it at least will give players a chance long term. Lankshear must be really pissed off.
You say Ange is not making excuses - he is!!!! Constantly talking about it!!!
But the EPL is far too strong to make such possibilities likely.
we need multiple signings to stand a chance. But from the looks of it we'll be lucky with one
They didn’t start often but Skipp, Hojberg and Lo Celso all chalked up 20+ games. We replaced them with 0 mature experienced players.
You are probably on the money .
Yeah
You’re literally the problem with the club, levy loves you 😢
Fully fit squad we are 12th over two seasons. Fully fit squad we lost to palace n Ipswich. But ange we trust I guess lmao so slow
Does anyone else think the reason Ange has lasted this long is because he’s not publicly outed Levy/the board?
Alisdair, I’m in Vietnam , I assure you, being on the other side of world doesn’t make Tottenham go away. COYS
Has anyone pointed out yet that the song that was immediately cranked out after the match was Munich by Editors which has a chorus of " People are fragile things, you should know by now
Be careful what you put them through" Very apt!
Managers at Tottenham have been no more than fall guys for Levy on his way to the bank.
Culpability at Tottenham in order, biggest first:
1. levy
2. Cullen
3. Rest of the executives/board
4. Lange and his recruitment staff
5. Medical / Physio department
6. Some players
7. Ange Postecoglou
8. Some other players.
1, 2, 3 ,5 end
I have no expectations. Going to extra time against a non league side killed any optimism that was left
Relegation is a real possibility..😡
I hope and pray that I am being silly and completely wrong.
Oh Ali, I've never been so disillusioned by the club, therapy time is much needed 😢😢. Thank you Ali as always 🙌🙌😞😞
Thank you Alasdair! ! I feel a little better and you make me laugh! Comedic humor helps😂
What has Lange done to our team💔
Also, being ever so slightly more proactive this window would have meant that our position in the league table, at the time, would have not scared off potential players.
This is Poch's zero signings windows all over again.
Levy had the attitude at the time; well we don't need to spend money because we're good enough to make a Champions League final.
Would love Levy to offer you a 1 on 1 interview, Ali.
The problem for Spurs is, with the imminent return of our injured players, who would want to sign for Spurs knowing you probably won’t be required in a few weeks.
Levy will just lie and talk bollocks in that interview.
Not necessarily in that order
Didn't think you'd have the energy to make a video. But as always you somehow manage to make me laugh and put a smile on my face despite the circumstances currently at Spurs. COYS
Once again another fantastic and informative video Alasdair.
You have a great day off as Tottenham bring in four superstar players sorry I nodded off back in the real world lol 😂
“To dare is to don’t”
Absolutely.
We are going down. You need to brace yourselves. We are not too good. We are definitely bad enough to go down.
Thank you for your service, Ali.
Alasdair Gold here *massive sigh
This man is all of us right now.
I remember Levy saying when he sacked Poch that time will tell if they had made the right decision... that's worked out well hasn't it!
Yeah joke isn’t it
I'm not a Levy fan but I've always kind of understood the reasons behind his decisions.
