For the grinch story, as someone who has a long term stable marriage with my dom I will always live by the phrase “your kink is your kink and mine is mine” so I would NEVER EVER kink shame someone. I think that this is prevalent in a lot of the the Two Hot Takes podcasts and it's extends to the women as well. It's made me want to stop watching them all together sometimes, it's hard to watch. I just cringe my way through those spots and hope to God that after the podcast they did some Googling to better their knowledge. You also have to keep in mind the things they echo are often things regularly taught to literally everyone in the US. I also hope they listen to their commenters on these certain subjects too.

Morgan, I thought this episode was hilarious! I absolutely love THT and i’ve watched every episode. All the guests you’ve had one were awesome and even though this was different, I thought it was great and it looked like you had a great time. Same here. I have a skin picking issue especially when it comes to acne. I dont even have acne but for some reason any time there is even remotely a tiny blackhead or something my mind wont let me relax until it is “gone.” It’s embarrassing and you dont know why you do it. Your *parents'* first cousins are then your first cousins once removed (that just means that they are one generation removed from you, as they are your parents' cousins and therefore they are their generation not yours), and the children of your parents' first cousins are your second cousins. It can be easier if you look at a graph or a chart because it's delineated by generation. But yeah, unless they're adopted or something, you're definitely related to your second cousins by blood. 😅

The degree of separation on the family tree determines whether its 1st, 2nd, 3rd cousin, etc, and the difference in generation determines how many times removed. If you look up the cousins chart, it is much easier to understand, but I am not wrong at all.

You and your mom's cousin are different generations, which means they can't possibly be your second cousin with no removal. It can be confusing at first, but makes sense when you look at it with logic.
Take another look at the chart with that information and maybe You will understand. You are trying to correct somebody who has actually spent a considerable amount of time studying genealogy, when you have literally no idea what you are talking about. As I said, its okay to be wrong, but doubling down out of pride when you are clearly proven wrong makes you look silly. I applaud your confidence though.

I’ve been riding horses for 17 years my full time job is teaching horseback riding lessons and training horses. I think they finally settled in & were fine by the last story, but this was hard to get though for me personally. I appreciate you branching out Morgan, but these guys changed the entiiiiire vibe - it felt like their podcast & not yours. The horse girl convo was extremely uncomfortable, and they turned everything unnecessarily hyper-sexual, specifically when it came to the women. These guys sound like the ones that Drew Afualo would be calling out on TikTok. I know they’re comedians, but the hypersexualization of women is problematic whether it’s disguised as comedy or not.

I think that this is prevalent in a lot of the the Two Hot Takes podcasts and it's extends to the women as well. It's made me want to stop watching them all together sometimes, it's hard to watch. I just cringe my way through those spots and hope to God that after the podcast they did some Googling to better their knowledge. You also have to keep in mind the things they echo are often things regularly taught to literally everyone in the US. I also hope they listen to their commenters on these certain subjects too.
I watch a ton of podcasts hosted by comedians so I’m much more understanding and comfortable with the flow and humor of this episode. Never heard of these guys before but they’re so witty and their comfort ability with their sexualities is sooooo attractive.

Honestly this one wasn't for me. I'm not opposed to talking about sex or dirty jokes but they felt constant and straying away from the reddit post. Also, I'm not a horse girl myself but it seemed like the way they were talked about was really rude. To push a weird stereotype that they get off on it is mean and very ignorant of female anatomy in general.

First cousin once removed = your second cousin’s parent. (They are not your uncle/aunt, because TECHNICALLY only your parent’s sibling is your uncle/aunt. They are your first cousin once removed because they are a first cousin one generation up from you). Finally: if your cousin has a cousin through the side of the family you aren’t related to (i.e. the married-in aunt aka your cousin’s mom), then that person is not your cousin. They’re just your cousin’s cousin.

Yeah, there's been a lot of people online looking back on that "game" and realizing how much it normalized harassment/r*pe culture for so many of us. It was weird to hear it referenced so casually, along with treating the Me Too movement as a punchline ("I almost got me too-ed!" as if the movement is about canceling people over trivial things rather than calling out actual r*pists).

All the guests you’ve had one were awesome and even though this was different, I thought it was great and it looked like you had a great time.
