Here's what some icons have to say about the book!!!
Ice-T: "Respect to Soren Baker for documenting the history of gangster rap in these pages. Some hate it. Some love it. But you can’t deny its brutal, hardcore honesty."
The D.O.C.: "History has so often been written by the victors, that you very rarely ever get the real story behind anything. So it’s really important to hear from the people that were there, which is exactly what Soren Baker shares in this book. He writes about it and he’s honest about it."
Xzibit: "Hip-hop changed the world. Gangster rap changed the narrative, and then changed the world again. Soren Baker has been a very integral part of documenting hip-hop on the West Coast for as long as I can remember. I don’t think anybody is more qualified to write this book."
Leslie “Big Lez” Segar: "Soren Baker has changed the perspective of gangster rap by putting his pen to paper. He has given hip-hop power, proven its potential, and made non-believers contemplate all of its possibilities. The truth in his writing leaves no stone unturned, something he's done again with The History of Gangster Rap. Soren doesn’t just champion hip-hop. He also reveals its flaws and its truths."

“ In this dimension, I'm the presenter
And the inventor, and the tormentor “
Classic lyrics, Ab O. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccess.
One of the greatest lines ever.
"I drop bombs like Hiroshima!"
Yes, Keepon Groovin. Classic. Thanks for watching.
Bomb drop!
That one line will LIVE ON with TIMEEEEE !!!
haha just wanted to write that too
@@mrqh406 facts
His glasses were broke, hilarious! The first time I heard RBX on "High Powered", I was terrified - and blown away! He and Kurrupt scared the shit out of me on The Chronic. Easily one of the best albums of all time.
Agreed on all fronts, Julian Jesse. Thanks for watching #UniqueAccess.
Definitely a classic
How abt Serial Killer
Lex K Serial Killa is another classic joint with X.
They both were the most Lyrical on the Row
THAT BASELINE ON "HIGH POWERED "AND HIS VOCALS PURE PERFECTION
You said it, Emarree Wilcox. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccess.
With the right moves Dre could have made RBX the next big thing
Yeah, matthew mann. They could have been another potent partnership. Thanks for watching #UniqueAccess.
Yeah but X just didnt have the right attributes to be the next big thing unfortunately
I dont think Dr.Dre had the proper opportunity to. As monumental as Death Row was, it could have been bigger(crazy). The distractions took away from creating. They had a lot of talent that could have been the next thing, but got lost in the distractions.
Real talk
@@James.k1373 you just don't know.....look at today's generation and say that shit again
"Deep... deep like the mind of Minolta. Now picture this..."
IMO - X's verse on Snoop's "Serial Killa" is STILL one of the hardest features in Hip Hop history!
Agreed, Jheri Curl Jankins. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccess.
Absolutely
Let's pic nic inside a morgue not pic baskets but pic nic caskests
Yes sir, that black boogie man flow!
RBX the rapper version of candyman as far as voice and lyrics go deep voice morbid lyrics commands attention 👍🏾🥶CHECK ! this nigga voice is eerie black Vincent Price.
RBX lyrics were crazy on the Chronic. . . . we used to quote em in school back in 92" and 93'
You said it, dennis roofe.
RBX is a smart dude...I’m glad some dudes from the Dogg Pound have done well...Tray Deee is also another one that’s respected...
Charlie B, agreed. RBX dropped a lot of gems in this interview. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccess.
I wish him and Dre would have completed an album together
That would have been incredible, Two Cents J. Thanks for watching.
Yeah
Two Cents J I hope that it can still happen
DermDZL1 I doubt it. Dre is too worried about his name and being a perfectionist

“Only X I know is, Xzibit or RBX” -Kurupt
graffProdigy DMX is legend, no doubt.
Yes, yes, graffProdigy. Thanks for watching #UniqueAccess.
You watch this debate we just did: Which DMX LP is Better: "It's Dark And Hell Is Hot" or "Flesh Of My Flesh Blood Of My Blood?" Here's the link, ua-cam.com/video/sNKu98IUc7A/v-deo.html. Thanks for watching.
Hell yeah!! Kurupt had a major issue with DMX. He dissed DMX, Ja Rule, Ruff Ryders minus Eve, Irv Gotti, The movie Belly, The Firm which included Nas, Foxy Brown, AZ,Nature and Cormega. Kurupt almost started a major beef. Later on Kurupt apologized. I still like Kurupt. He a lyrical genius.
Pwaaaaaahahahahaha delusional
Soren baker does the most chillest interviews.
We appreciate that, Eric Caro. We're glad to have #SorenBaker on the squad. Thanks for watching, as always.
I Love RBX’s Raps on High Powered, Lyrical Gangbang, & Stranded on Deathrow From The Chronic!
George Doughly, those are some classic tracks. Thanks for watching #UniqueAccess.
Love how he kept it real... and was just like a regular dude with it...
harleiux12, definitely. We thought that was great, too. RBX is super cool. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccess.
X is a humble dude it's hard 2 believe he was part of that death row mess
Yeah, Mr Finesse. RBX is a super cool dude. Thanks for watching & supporting #BestAlbums on #UniqueAccess.
RBX had the voice that was perfect for rap
Big Fan of RBX...his first solo album was dope and his verse on east coast/west coast killas
Definitely, DRUMS RUGGED. RBX has a lot of classic material. Thanks for watching #UniqueAccess.
He looks like Fabulous grandpa...
Funny, Calvin Payne. Thanks for watching.

🤣🤣🤣 Stop it
RBX Files... one of the greatest most underrated albums of all time
Agreed, Super Producer. RBX doesn't get the shine we think he should. We're glad he came through for an interview. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccess.
Most definitely... and if I may say, his choice of Death Certificate is spot on. That album was so far ahead of its time. It’s one of my greatest albums all time behind K-Rino’s Stories From The Black Book.... keep up the great work guys 👍👍👍
Thanks for the kind words, Super Producer.
The innovator dominator narrator RB to the muthafuckin X. His verse on Lyrical Gangbang was so cold. He definitely had the voice of saying, Don’t fuck with me. 92 was most certainly the year for Death Row to be potentially the greatest rap label of all time possibly. They was definitely on to something big until outside elements got involved. I mean think about it. They was on their way to do what No Limit was doing before their was a no limit far as churning out artists consistently. You had Kurupt, Daz, Dr Dre, Snoop, Warren G, RBX, OFTB, Lil Malik from Illegal had dope lyrics on doggystyle. That’s just naming a few. My point is Death Row had a lot of lyrical power for the world to hear. Dope interview regardless. Sorry for the long post but I thought it was 92 again
All good, TheKaluha88. You made a lot of great points. It's too bad Death Row couldn't sustain itself. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccess.
Don’t forget Nate Dogg bro
This is Mr "Remember Me?"
That's the one, Black Light. Thanks for watching #UniqueAccess.
Remember me was dope!!! Still in rotation!!!!
I drop bombs like Hiroshima
His voice sounds amazing. Respect to RBX
Definitely, C Dawg. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccess.
His feature on Eminem’s “Remember Me” was extra hard!...
You said it, Miri Astro. RBX was great on "Remember Me." Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccess.
One of the coldest verses bar none.
RBX! My home room classmate at Poly.
Nice, On 2Wheels. Thanks for watching #UniqueAccess.
His verse on HIGH POWERED is the WEST COAST Inspectah Deck Triumph verse!
I thought Rbx and Snoop had the best verses on the Chronic
Ancient College, yeah, Snoop Dogg & RBX make a powerful combination. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccess.
All though I can’t argue a lot but I will, I have to say KURUPT surpassed everyone on that album just look at STRANDED ON DEATHROW he killed that track
His voice commanded respect on the Chronic. Cuz voice sounded like the Baba Yaga!! (John Wick)
You said it, BrockSampson3000 N/A. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccess.
Still bumpin The RBX Files to this day
As you should, GantzIsSloppy. Thanks for watching #UniqueAccess.

Rbx look like Late 90’s Master P right here lol
Funny, Mr. Man. Thanks for watching.
Mr. Man Damn!
I thot dat shit 2 bruh thats comedy
RBX was The "NARRATOR MC".X had a Helluva a Style unlike anyone. This Dude made Himself a lane for His Lyrical Ability.Where There were none.He was actually Talking but still Rapping in Narrator Form Telling and explaining what is going to Happen. He actually had an Official Role in The Organization.I would have let RBX Narrate The Whole Album. The Chronic basically was a Movie.I just would've Supervised The Album and made it more Scripted to where everyone would be Placed at The right positions.
Yeah because only you know where everyone should be. Nigga shut up.
That would have been an interesting way to do it, HERU Apocalypse. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccess.
Thanks for watching, Dontever touchmyhat.
HERU Apocalypse Very true statement. I thought he was going to do so much more though. The industry is funny like that. The best artists doesn't have a deal nor platform to shine.
mustafahajj That's right. That was The Beauty of Death Row in The Beginning. All of Them were known as The Death Row Inmates. With each of Them having a Role to Play.
While childish MC’s battle over coastal fronts/ I come with no fronts and smashing monkey fronts/ If you want to be evil like knievel then jump/I guarantee your punk ass catch the speed lump!” Man RBX always came cold AF. That voice is amazing.
Rest In Peace Nate Dogg

Nice, Gee Bri. Did your cousin get "Live And Let Die?" Thanks for watching.
Unique Access Ent. Live and Let die was a slept on Classic. That was the same year it came out. Freshman year of college. So many dope albums came out I don’t even know how we got work done that year!

I remember when chronic came out and I heard Rbx verses on lyrical and high powered I thought it was amazing. It was like the first time hearing doc. I would have loved hearing those two trading back and forth. In my head these guys are the Chaucer of the 90s. Writing rhymes on what is real.
The legend back again
Great to hear from you, Kota Kidd. We're back, and we've got a lot of great material coming soon. Thanks for the steady support of #UniqueAccess.
