Probably some of the best content I've ever seen on this website. I can see the days of work right through the screen (and because I follow your twitter)
The editing style on this video (and all your videos) is just amazing. You perfectly captured the essence of the films without distracting the viewer from what you were saying. As always, great job
Personally I think Star Wars and Mavel films should be included (although only the ones released after the merge of course) since Disney is claiming those films just as much as Walt Disney Pictures films, although films released on labels such as Touchstone or Miramax shouldn't be included.
Oh man, yes yes yes! The Rocketeer is a great film! You just have to go in knowing that it's not going to be anything like today's Marvel style of hero flick. It's very much a product of the 90s. That said, it's a lot of fun and it'll hopefully get you pumped for the reboot/sequel!
@@penspinner01 No, lol. I don't have the time to watch like I did growing up. I forgot to add on my original post - I've seen them all as they were released or on tape throughout my life. Not marathon style :). I'm sure once I have kids, I'll end up seeing "most" all of them again throughout the rest of my years. haha.
Nah, you gotta count every Disney channel movie, every Disney show, all Disney owned company movies, all shorts and every trailer/commercial/promo ever released. Also every different version of a film release on DVD.
Great question! I enjoyed making this one so I can see myself making spin-offs for the subsidiaries down the road. The key, for me, will be learning enough about each one's history. Had the video only been a minute long with the total run time, I probably wouldn't have made it. But seeing how the numbers evolved over the years was the interesting part to me. So short answer yes!
I've seen all the animated films, having made it a goal for myself last summer, but I never felt the need to watch the live action ones. Sure, there are some gems there, but they quality of those films are more rocky, making watching all of them feel more like a punishment than an adventure through Disney history.
FAVORITE DISNEY MOVIE BY DECADE: 1940's - Pinocchio1950's - Peter Pan1960's - The Jungle Book1970's - The Rescuers1980's - The Little Mermaid1990's - The Lion King2000's - The Princess and the Frog2010's - Frozen
Part of me really wonders something about the Walt Disney company. How different would the company's trajectory be if Walt Disney (the person) stayed alive for as long to see the 70's, 80's or 90's? To show a comparison, Dr. Suess was born in 1904, 3 years after Disney and died in 1991. So it can be possible that Walt Disney could have lived that long. You're free to make a video answering my question if you want to! =)
Hey rob! Just a recommendation, you should make another playlist of all the rides on MC magic again because a lot of the rides have been updated and I think you should definitely do that in the near future! Thanks:)
You would have to add all the Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars, as well as all the FOX films. Add in all the series produced by the Walt Disney Company, and you have well over a year worth's of content
I will always remember my first disney film. I was a little kid and there was a huge snowstorm and my school stuff the students in the auditorium since we couldn't go home and showed us the little mermaid and we had popcorn and it was perfect with the huge snowstorm going on outside. favorite film : the little mermaid
Even if Disney doesn't want to admit it Song of the South is a creation of theirs and it was part of the 1940's so you have to add that up with Snow White.
Snow White was released in the 1930s. So it stands alone as Disney's only film of that decade. Song of the South was included in this count, but falls into one of the 14 films of the 1940s.
I love both films, but I also feel it's important to recognize where it's value comes from. Tron is a particularly shallow series IMO that depends on visual spectacle. Now I realize to many people that might sound like a bad thing, but I don't think it is. I think there's a place in Hollywood for those kinds of films. They're fun to watch. They're easy to digest. They're memorable. I really hope we see more Tron in the future (I loved the animated series too), but I think one of the reasons we won't for a while, outside of the box office concerns, is that Hollywood (and Disney especially) is all about connected worlds and franchise universes that have to grow more deep and rich as they go on to keep people interested. And like I said, I think Tron is particularly shallow in that category. Hopefully we'll see the Hollywood pendulum swing back to favoring one-offs or smaller franchises, and we'll get more Tron. That or I hope we get a reboot that takes the visuals and concepts of Tron and puts it into a new world that is a little better thought out and deeper do that it can exist in today's "deep universe" ecosystem.
Rob, I love that you went decade by decade. It really puts it into perspective the changes throughout the history of the Walt Disney Company.
now please every series with movie and all smalelrs copmaniers i bet its like 100 days
Doctor: You have 26 days to live.
Me: Watches every Disney movie ever made
Well now i know what ill be doing this summer.
I love the variety of videos you've been producing lately Rob. These type of videos are the ones I think that'd get popular
Thanks! Let's hope!
Probably some of the best content I've ever seen on this website. I can see the days of work right through the screen (and because I follow your twitter)
Thanks so much!
I LOVE the rescuers, it's so underrated
If you want to get technical, Miramax , Hollywood Pictures, Touchstone , Pixar, Marvel and Lucasfilm are Disney productions.
Such a great video, been watching your channel for years now. The amount of time and effort you put into your videos is greatly appreciated Rob
The editing style on this video (and all your videos) is just amazing. You perfectly captured the essence of the films without distracting the viewer from what you were saying. As always, great job
You should do an update for this.
Personally I think Star Wars and Mavel films should be included (although only the ones released after the merge of course) since Disney is claiming those films just as much as Walt Disney Pictures films, although films released on labels such as Touchstone or Miramax shouldn't be included.
I agree. The D23 site has an official list of all Disney movies which includes Pixar, Touchstone, and Disney Toons theatrical releases.
that was incredibly interesting and informative. thanks
As always amazing freakin video! I love these kinds of videos!
Also would you recommend me to watch rocketeer? I've heard it's great (a lot from you.) and I've always wondered so should I?
Oh man, yes yes yes! The Rocketeer is a great film! You just have to go in knowing that it's not going to be anything like today's Marvel style of hero flick. It's very much a product of the 90s. That said, it's a lot of fun and it'll hopefully get you pumped for the reboot/sequel!
I've literally seen all of them :) At 31...I'm tempted to set a goal to watch them all again in a few months!
Well now you know how long it'll take! Seriously, that's quite a feat!
Whoosh!
Did you end up watching them all again?
@@penspinner01 No, lol. I don't have the time to watch like I did growing up. I forgot to add on my original post - I've seen them all as they were released or on tape throughout my life. Would love to see an updated one for this since we just closed out another decade of Disney films? Heard it was up to about 29 days now I think
Amazing content as always.
Nah, you gotta count every Disney channel movie, every Disney show, all Disney owned company movies, all shorts and every trailer/commercial/promo ever released. Also every different version of a film release on DVD.
Will you ever do a follow-up video that features all the subsidiary films, plus all the films accounted for here?
Great question! I enjoyed making this one so I can see myself making

Yes! That’ll be a great month of Disney movies and magic. I’ll get started on Disney plus!
My journey begins today.
even their shorts are worth watching though. I'm curious about those numbers.
Very interesting thanks for sharing. Your ending screen gave me nostalgia!😂

Friend: what's your favorite Disney movie?
Me: it's complicated.

Looks like I'm gonna have to hibernate for 26 days
Does Disney Channel movies count?
Does this list of film included Song of the South?
Yup, it's on the list.
Rob Plays That Game
Thanks for letting me know.
Does anyone know what film is being shown at 0:55?
That would be the comedy film, Rocketman!
I'm curious, rob what are your thoughts on the Tron series?
I love both films, but I also feel it's important to recognize where it's value comes from. Tron is a particularly shallow series IMO that depends on visual spectacle.
