Only God can change the deepest parts of our hearts. We must allow God into those parts though. This comes in prayer, confession, humility, and complete honesty. Have fellowship with the Holy Spirit and watch your life change.
I remember being 15 and sitting on a cabin floor with 3 other girls, listening to them quietly share how they'd been raped or molested, I was amazed that they recognized what had happened to them and were brave enough to share it. I remember going home and sharing with people I trusted what those girls had told me, because it deeply disturbed me, and I was shocked when some of those people I trusted told me that those girls could've been lying, and that it could've been untrue. So when I was sexually assaulted multiple times over a 6 month period when I was 16, not only did I not know how to tell anyone but I struggled for years with the way people might view me. I am 21 now and married to the most godly and selfless person, who loves me for me, and I never thought anyone, especially a Christian man, would ever want to marry me. I'm thankful for that. And now that I'm going to a professional therapist, I'm able to see that the things I experienced as a child and a teenager are real, and even if they're painful they have to be exposed to be healed. I hope more people can have access to spiritual and mental health resources that can help them through these kinds of things.

Another uplifting story. God ALWAYS makes for good what satan means for evil and destruction. I pray everyone who watches this and have gone through a horrific experience or going through an addiction will cry out to our Heavenly Father for help in Jesus' mighty name and through the power of the Holy Spirit. Im a guy of course, I was nearly sexually abused as a young child. I yelled out and the abuser ran off. I carry the metaphorical blanket that feels like it chokes my happiness. I have used eating and porn to make me happy temporarily. When the lady above was sharing my first thought is I wish guys would feel comfortable in divulging their deepest pain. The second thing I realized was that I’ve felt unworthy of God. Dirty because of everything. Like Amanda, my name is Stephen, which means “crowned one.” It’s ironic that satan uses life situations to give us an identity different then our true and given name. Our identity in Jesus.

so strange! for 47 years, I've always learned that my name, Monica, meant Advisor or Counselor no matter where i looked it up. after listening to this, i googled it and found a definition, for the first time ever, Hermit & Unique! i think I'll just stick with Advisor ❤

As a woman their is evil out there. Some will choose to take whatever they can. Take your privacy, drug, steal, cheat, lie and manipulate anyone anytime. People will prey on your kindness, and naive mentality that your safe and you got this. We are all worthy of love , respect, kindness. You will find this in god.

Children and grown adults are abused daily. That haunts them for their life. Guilt is not for the victim to carry. It is a cross to be beared by the predator. Love and understanding and an understanding that god does not create those atrocities. But god is there for comfort and understanding , love to heal from lifes atrocities. We often blame god. Why ? I have no answer for that. But i know what it took for me to heal from my atrocities. I give her kudos for speaking the truth.

There's a reason Christians recommend women don't go to bars and night clubs. Look, it sucks, but the fact is, there are many men who will do these evil, evil things. Just because you shouldn't have this happen to you, doesn't mean it won't happen to you. So Please Be Safe! Don't go to bars and nightclubs!
