I think Sam Bailey is the best singer that has ever auditioned for ANY of the talent shows! Her effortless power, rich tone, accurate control, and her use of subtle nuances and inflections are all world class. What really blows me away is how she maintained such an ability all while being a prison officer, wife, and mother of two. A truly gifted natural!

What continues to blow my mind is how no matter what’s going on around her - that voice just blasts through it all, never wavers, misses a beat or falters... you’d never know she’d been joined on stage and hugged at the end if u listen just to the audio of her voice or with ur eyes closed. Just wow, what a gift she is.
You know 35 is the perfect age to win something like this because she has felt all those songs and experienced the pain and joy from all the things that a women should before they can sing the songs with such emotion. At 16 or even 25 they just haven't had enough time to feel those moments yet. She is just great and I really loved watching all her performances. Just lovely

I especially loved it whenever she wore the wide wrist cuffs, like an Amazon princess. Which is fitting as everything about her screams strength, from her career to her powerful vocals and stage presence. I just love her!
I find it so amazing that Sam has waited this long to let the world hear her voice, she has sung every song as well as, and sometimes better than other great singers. I would love to hear Sam sing Nina Simone's "Feeling Good" and Leonard Cohen's "Halleluja"... OMG she'd bring down the roof of any stage in the world!!
