- Talking Europe hosts Bujar Osmani, the foreign minister of North Macedonia, which launched EU accession talks nearly a year ago - although it has been in the EU’s waiting room for far longer than that. Currently a screening process of North Macedonia’s legislation is under way, and Osmani urges the opening of talks with the EU on the actual clusters of key topics. He warns that North Macedonian society has become wary of “making concessions while there are no deliverables”.

Its unshure yet, it will however probably be in 2030 at earliest. Northmacedonia, together with Albania and Montenegro are perhaps the Western Balkan Nations that will join the EU next.
@@andreasmaurer138Hello from Macedonia, Macedonia and Albania maybe in 2030s but bosnia, Srbija and Kosovo have territory problems among many others, i dont think others will join anytime in forsiable future, i think what would be left of ukraine might go in EU before them, only we and Albania have a real chance and even that is not sure 😢

Arrest them? He was a part of them, he is where he is because terrorists put him there in the first place
What often surprises me when journalists interview someone from a country outside the European Union is the paternalism and condescension...
And we recognize that and that's why we as people are sick and tired of that condescending voice and not interested in joining their bloody union of hypocrisy and blackmail dictatorial conditions.

I really hope North Macedonia will become the newest and next EU Member since the country has been a lot of tough situations in the past.
Thank you very much but we are not interested anymore. We are tired of EU's and our neighbor's games, pressures, hypocrisy and unreasonable conditions. Macedonian public is growing tired of and looks unfavorably towards this kind of behavior. If it was up to me, I'd quit negations and seek an alternative ally.
North Macedonias connection to Europe is only teritorial , by falsificating and stealing history of their european neighbors , having teritorial claims , severe propaganda against them destant itself far more from the modern european ideals , definetely not acceptable !
Thank you for your kind words but that is just what we get from the EU the past 22 years, kind words and nothing else, we made many big sacrifices and pay a absurde price for nothing really. Many countries got in after 2-5 years talks with no name, flag, constitution and political changes, we paid almost every price and a large number of people here are tierd of kind talking and rasing false eu hoples, if we dont get in the next 10 years there will be no will left anymore and i think its obviuse that the EU dosent want us in l, just like they dont want turkey, they dont seem to want to add new memebers atleast now.
