That’s if they’re below 16, so they’re literally children that can’t really grasp what the consequences of such a violent act are because they’ve been groomed into that, if they’re 16-17 they’ll get charged as an adult and being in a gang would give you extra time(I can’t remember if this “gang=more time” was in Sweden or Denmark)

The drug gangs are recruting teengagers in special care. Exactly. The segregation is extremely dangerous. Fortunately, I think this is going in the right direction, following the decrease of immigration it will probably become more diluted in the long run due to simple diffusion. This is especially the case if we work actively against segregation, which is not impossible
The problem is that the toxic immigrant subculture can suck up new working immigrants, or harshen the policies so much they dampen this important immigration. This working-class immigration is extremely important due to the failing fertility rates

But gang murders carried out in immigrant areas will usually not have anyone who want to testify (which is reasonable, they can end up dead), and no one involved in the conflict will talk to the police. The DA can't negotiate with criminals regarding punishment either, so the state can't offer any insscentive to rat.

they do make the effort, when the state guide them. There's a big difference in the Netherlands between the morrocan guetos (product of bad immigration management decades ago) and the more recent syrian refugees, much better integrated . The difference is that the later were provided tools like language learning, professional education and well distributed housing. The Moroccans didn't have that, so generations of them are growing in guettos that feel alienated from the rest of the poblation
The problem is never immigration itself, but how it's managed. Sweden made the same mistake the Dutch made decades ago with the Moroccans.

(2014), 28 percent of the suspects for crimes associated with rape were first generation immigrants while second generation immigrants formed a little less than 1 percent. The number of crimes per immigrant who lives in Finland is almost eight times as high as that of native Finns when looking at rape related crimes. It was also stated that the immigrants originating from Africa and Middle East commit the highest levels of crimes, with the level being seventeen times as high as that of native Finns. The offenses committed by the immigrant groups most often target the natives of the area.

I'm not Swedish, but I firmly believe that if you want to immigrate to a nation, that is completely fine, this world was made for humans to live, BUT in the condition that you obey that country's system and try your best to fully assimilate yourself to that country. This can include learning their language, appreciating and observing their culture, being able to mix with the people of that country, respecting their laws and most importantly proving oneself useful to the country (like doing a good job that country can appreciate).
If you cannot respect the country which welcomes you with open arms and gives you citizenship or PR, then you should not be their in the first place and chose your own home country or the 200 other countries available on Earth, if doing simple things like this is so hard for you.

Here in Italy we have been dealing with the Mafia from time immemorial, and they too like to use minors to commit crimes and homicides. But let me tell you that longer sentences did not help in stopping or limiting organized crime. Gangs and such don't send minors to commit crimes just because they get shorter sentences, but also because it's a form of initiation in the gang and to not get senior members directly involved. What the Swedish government should do is focus on fighting the gangs as organizations rather than focusing on their individual members, like being arrestable simply for being linked to organized crime even if there isn't any direct link to some concrete crime, or protecting and rewarding gang members that turn against their own gang in favor of the law.
The last exemple helped us Italians in weakening and even destroying some mafia groups, and even if the Mafia problem today is far from solved and some groups are still powerful, organized crime as a whole is less violent than the past.
This is only one side of an issue that obviously requires and multilateral approach, but on regards of legal rulings and law I believe that these options would be better to fight sweeds criminal gangs.

To surprise you this: "What the Swedish government should do is focus on fighting the gangs as organizations rather than focusing on their individual members, like being arrestable simply for being linked to organized crime even if there isn't any direct link to some concrete crime, or protecting and rewarding gang members that turn against their own gang in favor of the law." is actually one of the things they will do or at least said that they will do something the Sweden democrats have said for a looooooooong time. Sweden democrats are the ones who are being wrongfully accused of being far right. 90% of their proposed policies have been enacted by either Finland or Denmark. If you want to call Sweden democrats Far right you must call Denmark and Finland Far right countries too.

I don't know, I'm not so sure that Italy has been so successful in fighting the Mafia, it could be, on the contrary, that there are implicit agreements whereby if the Mafia avoids showing too much violence then the law is willing to close a watch out, or the mafia has changed its modus operandi to be less attackable, this would also explain why the 'Ndrangheta is the most powerful organisation, precisely because it avoids the type of violent crime that instead characterizes the Camorra or Cosa Nostra.

Allow any refugee to work outside of the unions collective agreements while maintaining their benefits (as long as the salary is below some certain limit) and the time to enter the labour market would drastically reduce, and gangs would lose a large pool of potential recruits.

In fact we chose the neighbourhood because it was one of the safest when we moved there in 2015. Despite another neighbourhood being cheaper but known for crime. It’s no longer just poor neighbourhoods affected. The criminals live among middle class people and even among some of the rich. Everyone is now getting affected. You didn’t mention wealth inequality which is higher in Sweden than in Russia and we have more billionaires than the rest of Scandinavia combined. Neo liberalism has taken root since the 90s in both the left and the right. I’m inclined to believe both the left and the right to be right on this one. It’s a combined problem. And given the utter disparity in numbers between those who have been integrated and those left unintegrated it’s obvious that the ones at fault in this situation is Sweden, after all even if only a tiny amount of migrants were willing to integrate per year you’d still see a hell of a lot more integrated Swedes then what exists right now.

The migrants who have been socialized differently and often violently in their home country go to Europe and bring with them their mental baggage. Because of the big bad word “racism” it is unacceptable to criticize them and the blame of high crime rates between migrants is way too often shifted onto the welcoming host society. But integration is mostly the responsibility of migrants, if you don’t even put in the effort to properly learn the host-country’s language, how can you ever advance and become a functioning member of society? Also, migrants and refugees seem to move to Europe and expect to see gold bars raining from the sky, as soon as they realize that you (obviously) cannot expect an easy and carefree life as a poor immigrant in a culturally very different country they too often turn to crime. How is it the host society’s responsibility that migrants are poorer than the average citizen? If I moved to Japan right now without learning japanese and unable to find a proper job, how is this Japan’s fault? It’s my fault for having too high expectations and putting in too little effort
Like, how can you migrate to a much more wealthy country without qualifications, no social circle, no knowledge of their language and no ambition and expect not to be poor?

Well, it only matters to the host country insofar as what the consequences are if they don't.
Personally, I prefer my crime rates not to go up, and for less of my city to house slums. So I'm all for putting resources in front of migrant communities to ensure they integrate and learn the language. City planning to ensure that they integrate with the local community rather than clump up in isolated communes. Maybe even have tiered systems where learning the language is incentivized by the system? Incorperate it in to whatever system that's aimed at impoverished areas in the first place while you're at it.
Because its like adopting a kid or a pet. Maybe it was a good idea to adopt, maybe it wasn't (and many people will have strong opinions here). But now that you've taken them in, you actually need to potty train them if you don't wan't piss and shit all over your nice carpets, and that is a much more immediate problem to solve.

The reason this is considered 'racist' is that immigrants don't commit more crimes than natives. Instead, they are more likely to be poor and poor people do more crime.

Like you say, one of the main talking points is how there is poor or no integration for those who come to Sweden from the middle east and Africa. The largest båt that the right are beating the left with is that while the left argue that more welfare is needed to help these people, the right point out that it IS exactly because of unquestionable and generous welfare that these people don't have any pressure to truly become Swedish citizens. They don't need jobs, don't need to learn swedish, don't have swedish associates and do not become Swedish.
It was also a very poorly thought out and shortsighted move from when the left were in power how to house these new arrivals. Massive housing building projects were created and finished. Then these areas were almost entirely filled with foreign families, creating massive communities with only foreign families and then promptly abandoned by the state to be cared for by the local government who now had to try and organize all the teaching, all the welfare, all the unemployment, and all the upkeep of these areas.
The entire system, top to bottom, is currently a run don't shit show that is in desperate need of a complete and total overhaul if it can be saved at all.

Any sort of soft integration policy will fail if the "other side" - immigrants - resists integration.

Islamic immigrants will always resist integration. They come to the West to take over using their violent ways. They do not come to integrate.

You can't integrate people that don't want to be integrated. It would be better if only people who liked swedish culture and wanted to be swedish chose to immigrate here, and the rest chose any of the many arabic countries, or whatever culture they want to live in.

That's naive thinking. The whole purpose of Islam is to spread as much as it can, either by sword or sheer number. They are told this is their duty to spread the word as ot where, there is a whole school of thought within that cult on how to achieve this.
They dont want to integrate, they want to change it to their liking and value system.
They would rather marry their cousins than even look at a native. They have all airt genetic abnormalities because of it. The whole cult disgusts me.

Integration is a two way street throwing immigrants into massive housing projects away from the rest of Swedish society and leaving local governments to pick up the slack in education and work. The government has not provided adequate means for integrating in the first place

    • @carloslx

They never intended to integrate. They're after an easy life with absolutely no contribution obligations. They abuse a system that exists. You should be questioning that exact system.

The fact theres common use of grenades also suggests sweden may be experiencing lots of arms smuggling

    • @SusCalvin
      @SusCalvin 6 місяців тому

Hand grenades are smuggled in. There's still caches of arms from the Balkan wars of the 90's floating around Europe. Munitions have a long expiration date. An old source used to be army depots, when they still had stashes for partisan war stored around the place.
All the nordic countries have historically wonky explosives laws. Explosives could remain in wonky categories closer to construction tools. These laws have changed. They figured that maybe Breivik shouldn't be able to buy large amounts of explosive materials, and maybe explosives should be brought up closer to firearms in a legal sense.

Yes, large quantities of weapons from fromer Yugoslavia countries (Serbia, Bosnia, Croatia) etc.. Also weapons from Middle East and Russia/Ukraine war. The criminal gangs don't just import drugs, they also import heavy duty firepower too.

      @SusCalvin 6 місяців тому

@@salkoharper2908 Weapons have been in circulation for a while. There's no constant surge for arms, not like drugs and services that are constantly consumed. Groups around Europe can store arms and move them to other parts of the continent when buyers want them.
Reusing firearms seems to happen. A firearm does not expire after being used in once incident.
New and exotic techniques like printing a firearm is still a bit ahead into the future. You can print a firearm but it's not going to compare to even a decades-old machined firearm.

The 6:40 mark features a discussion of 4 years being the maximum sentence a minor under Swedish law can receive for having committed a homicide by firearm. The Youth Criminal Justice Act of Canada allows judges to impose adult sentences on offenders who, at the time of any murder, were under the age of 18 but generally 14 years of age or older. A relevant offender sentence as an adult will have to wait 7 or 10 years, from the date of his or her arrest, to become eligible to apply for full parole. The sentence imposed, which will only have been imposed after the prosecution has met its burden of proof, is a life sentence which means the offender will be monitored by the Correctional Service of Canada and the Parole Board of Canada for the rest of his or her life if he or she is eligible to remain in Canada (which is automatic if he or she is a citizen).
