A few years ago I had possibly the most difficult time of my life. I was going through family issues, I had severe depression and anxiety and many days the fear of failing school was the only thing that would get me out of bed. I listened to this song every day on my way to school to help me get through it, and I’ll tell you it helped a lot. So thank you for making this song. Sometimes I wonder where I would be without it.

It’s funny how life just shows you what you need when you needed it most. This really helps.
Ever since I heard this song I’ve never stopped using little bits of the lyrics to motivate myself or my friends. Especially - ‘if you’re breathing you have time to grow’.
It’s been a while since I listened to this in full, but I think I needed it now more than ever since I feel like I’ve lost my way and forgotten who I am.

I tell myself that, if it's about me, only my opinion matters. I praise my art when no one else does, I encourage myself to continue writing my story when no one else can. And to hear the words I tell myself every time I'm in the rough being sang through a song, and knowing that it's genuine, even just *hearing* that it's genuine really warmed my heart. No one says these words to me, so I have to. Hearing those words from someone else really makes my day, though. I'm glad this just so happened to pop up and give my night a warm ending.
