Thank you so much to Alex not only for their support and requesting the song, but for trusting me to write about such a lovely personal experience.
This song is about making a connection with someone in a literal dream (something myself and others have experienced), but I tried to frame it in a way that contains other feelings of longing and just sort of wondering how things 'could have been', or a 'too good to be true' situation so you can think of it as non-literal as well.
I feel like I put most of the feelings that emerged from the experience into the song in a pretty straightforward way so there isn't a whole lot to say here, and I hope the feelings can reach you. ♥
I'm so happy I've had the chance to write more songs recently and I really hope the trend continues and I'll be able to write originals consistently alongside my covers. Dream come true. ;__;

A few years ago a masked person appeared in my dreams during several nights, for a week or so. I didn't know if it was a man or a woman only that when I was dreaming they'd appear and I'd find it strange for them to be there. But not "scary" strange, more as if I knew that this person wasn't something that my brain had come up with, in contrast with everything and everyone else in my dream. They didn't talk but we held hands and I don't remember much now after all this time but in one of the dreams we were on a fair on the seaside and it was so nice, just being there together. The last time I dreamed about this person I appeared on a white large room without walls and full of people and I searched for them like crazy, as if I knew I'd never see them again. When I finally spotted them I rushed towards them and hugged them and cried and just before I woke up they lifted their mask a bit so I could see their mouth. The person smiled and told me something I don't remember anymore.
As I was listening to this I thought that this was exactly how I felt back then but I thought "there's no way this is about meeting someone in a literal dream", until I read the description, lol. This is one of the most beautiful songs I've heard in my life, I really don't have words to describe how amazing it was to listen to this. Thank you.

Not only with Haruhi, but Haruhi's were the most intense, the others were also with girls that I couldn't be with, they didn't love me or not that way and that's how it looked in the dream.
Haruhi did love me, but she told me that we couldn't be together, or not in that way.
You cannot love a guardian angel romantically, or in other words, if the love you are looking for is the light that is inside our heart, the desire to have another person by your side will not only take you away from your true light, otherwise it will make you suffer.
I'm not saying that you can't have both, but it is necessary to find your light and feel true love to be able to be fully with another person, if they have gone through the same thing.
I wish you luck, searching within ourselves is the most difficult, because it involves reaching the depths of all the pain that we have accumulated and that we try so hard to avoid or postpone.
But if you go deep, you will surely find the love that we are longing for.
Okay so this is going to sound really weird, but whatever. A a couple of years ago I actually had a dream that I thought of while listening to this, in the dream I was about 16 to 18 years old, I ended up exploring a cave for one reason or another and found a merman sort of creature, I ended up making a relationship with him and grew very attached over the dream. I actually ended up crying when I woke up when I realized that yeah the entire relationship/friendship was a dream in and of itself and I would never see him again! I don't think I've ever been that sad over a dream before.

This reminds me of all those dreams I had about having a boyfriend (even a girlfriend) and how badly I fell in love with them. The dream starts off so good and lovely but then dies as the person leaves. I wake up thinking it's real, but then reality hits and I'm alone. But deep inside I feel like they're waiting for me.
This song helps me cope with the fact that maybe, somewhere out there, there's someone out there waiting for me. To love hopefully. Thank you Jayn and Alex.

Why doesn't this have more views? Honestly, this is Apple Music worthy. This shouldn't only be on UA-cam. I'm listening to it, and it's better than most songs. Something like this has never happened to me, but I feel like, as someone who loves love and the idea that, even if you can't find them, there was someone made for you, and you were never destined to be alone. But the thought that you met that person in a dream, and don't know where to find them, it just... It makes me so sad. As a writer, I love and admire the way you captured the bittersweet feeling of that, and it is absolutely beautiful work.

Reminds me how i met two kind ''people'' in seperate and different dreams one tall kind woman with a van and a blue hooded guy with a golden-blue-purple glowing cloak. both of them were so kind to me and all they done was support and comfort me i loved them too much my wish to sleep for eternity increased due to this but somehow the hooded guy knew this cause in the dream i met him he leaded me to a portal without telling where it goes just told me i was in pain n he felt that after i entered the said portal i woke up hurting as if it weren't for his guidance i would never wake up
